I mean he got hack right in the wrist and cross checked before this.
He shouldn’t get a fine for this. It should be a few game suspension because of the number of stick infractions he’s been fined or suspended for in his career. Should he ever go into the Hockey Hall it should be with a big asterisk next to his name for this behavior his whole pro career.
Hockey noob here… It looked like Stanley was getting fresh with his stick first? Shouldn’t that be a double penalty?
I saw two stick infractions there.
Where’s the fine or penalty for the cross check to his back? That’s how injuries happen. If the refs are not going to police the game properly, players are going to take matters into their own hands.

I love the fine amounts in the NHL, cause 5k is gonna make a difference to Malkin

I’m not a Malkin or Penguins fan and Malkin has done a lot of dirty stuff in his career, but this really should’ve just been coincidental minor penalties on the ice. Bad miss by the officials.
