I like our numbers and it’s impressive through the first 10 games. I’m very glad it’s not skewed high by playing easy teams. We had a good mix of good and bad teams, and comparable teams to our rebuild like San Jose and Detroit
Gauthier’s shooting volume being 2nd in the NHL is great on its own, but I particularly like what it implies. To shoot that much, his line has to be winning possession enough for him to have those opportunities. Our GM wants us to become a possession focused team, so that seems like a solid early indicator that the rebuild strategy is coming together.
