NHL Highlights | Devils vs. Ducks – November 2, 2025

Hazy hard to ignore a 950 save percentage in his career against the Devils as we’re underway. Ducks in their home orange and the Devils in the final game of a four-game road trip in their road whites. Chilowski throws it across and the centering pass intercepted by Beckett Senica. He flips it out of his way. It’s picked up by Senica has to reach and he scores. Oh, looked like he was in too close but definitely not the case. [Music] Well, this is what that long reach of Mechanica can do for you. That pass to Springham was a little bit ahead of him and was able to control it and I think he just surprises Jake Allen and he was able to elevate that puck. He goes between the arm and the body of the Devil’s net minder. First shot on goal. Becca Senica delivers the opening goal of the game. And boy, Anaheim has talked so much in the early going of this season about finding more ways to get the lead in the hockey game. Becket Senica bouncing puck through the middle of the ice and he sure is able to settle it. Drops it back and this one’s off of Dostall and out of play. Watch the positioning of Dost. Watch where he’s standing here. Right right in front of the top of the goal crease. Makes sense. Moore to the corner being tracked by Heir. Turns it over. Heir gets it back to Stall with another point blank save. Anaheim guilty that time. You can see they are thinking about attack. Every time they get that puck in the neutral zone, Terry and Carlson. Carlson pulls it in front and cars right to Crider Allen with his best stop of the game. The creativity of all the players that they have. They’ve got high highend talent. And Hughes turns it over. Here’s a short-handed break. Terry in save. Got his own rebound and it’s underneath the left pad of Allen. Short-handed chances the Ducks have had lately that didn’t go in the net. Well, first of all, it was a great read by Carlson who recognized that they were in trouble. So he pounced, dug that puck out, and Jake Allen, man, that that left knee of his just gets down to the ice in the nick of time. Arseni Gritsuku stays out now. Senica comes out of the box. Gritsuk with a great pass across and a better save by GTO and a one-time from team Omire. It’s the reason why he was able to explode off that right leg and get across just to make a wonderful save. And they responded with that 4 to1 win last night up at crypto.com. Here’s a chance for Yes. Brat drops it back and that’s off the goal post as Hamilton came right down the slot. Hits Hamilton on the skate with it as he was changing. Ducks have to get on side as they do. Ross Johnston steps into it. Got it to Harkkins. Good save. Boy Allen was moving to his left. The shot to his right and he kept it out. Ellison and Lome work out high. Now they’ll crisscross. LCM protects the puck, takes it in behind the net, tried to make a little pass, broken up by Dawson Mercer, who spins with it to the corner. He’s treated roughly there. Mercer, five goals in his last three games, including two shorties last night in LA. And he’ll move the puck up the middle. That’s a penalty coming up for New Jersey. Never mind the nut score. Frank for Toronto. First of the year for Frank. Wow. [Music] And a big weight just lifted off the shoulders of Frank Toronto. This is the kind of pressure that Quinnville was talking to us about. And it’s the fourth line that comes through. Boy, what an effort to tap that puck over to Patrono. Watch this. Lome dives, swaps it with one hand, and Vrono just buried it up top over the glove. I have been watching Frank all week in practice. practice one-times start first eight games didn’t happen once. [Applause] This is the fifth straight game against an Eastern Conference foe for the Ducks. It’s also the first of a run of slithers past people. The way I would describe it, of course, the famous nickname for Perry was worm. When you say slither, that comes to mind. Senica to the line. Trouba shakes off a hit, gets it deep, and they score. Banged in from below the goal line by Cutter Goce. A good stop there by Jake Allen. But this puck comes down low when Cutter Goce. Maybe Jake Allen doesn’t realize that it’s Gochce cuz one thing we know about Cutter, he’s going to fire from anywhere. I looked at the stat sheet after the first period, Brian, and I was poked off his stick by Moore who recovers nicely. Senica starts the ducks the other way. McTavish from Goce hits the brakes, takes the shot and it’s in the glove. Second tour of duty with the Devils for N who was originally acquired by the Devils when they claimed him off waiverss from the Ducks. He sets up Hey, and another great pass save by Doar. if they prefer Batman or Superman. [Music] Got him into trouble a lot where the the opposition had extended chips. Tavish into the slot. Nice look and Senakica can’t believe that wall. See the way he tucks his arms into his body right there. Just don’t let it go through. We’re halfway through at Honda Center. And here’s a turnover at the blue line. Stolen by Crider. Kick save Allen. rebound just knocked away from Carlson. Terry open left circle off the outside of the goal, but boy, he had a glorious opportunity moments ago. A very difficult faceoff night Friday against the Red Wings. He didn’t win any draws of the nine faceoffs he took. He opened the opening period, but Moore coming down from that right point. Crider was there as well. And good shot was looking a stick on it. kept at the line though. Nice little play by Trouba. And here they come to the slot as Deno had a crack at it. Lunching to his right. Allen has it. Oh, I don’t know how he got that. Trying to make it three straight. They win the draw to begin the third period. Ellison puts it up on the boards. Allen can’t knock it down. Krider got a piece. Oh, nearly a giveaway right between the circles as Troy Terry Moore activates from the point. Keeps it in. Gets to the front of the net. got a stick on it. Never got the shot away. And back the other way, Arseni Gretz got it across. W saved by Dostali. Rob Leno. Lucas did a lot of that through the first 30 minutes of this hockey game as Colord pokes it ahead. Both teams changing. Ross Johnston breakaway backhander. Oh, flashing the left pad. Jake Allen got a piece off the left for away to center. Little give and go. Harkkins into the New Jersey zone. Jansen throws it into the goal crease. Duck player ends up in the net. That’s Frank Petrono. He had a little help there from Luke Glenn Denny. Here’s the rush up ice. And you see, oh boy. Makes a move then spins off the half wall down low. The Toronto gives it back. Penalty is over to Mercer and on the doorstep. Senica turned away. Puck lobbed to Mercer as he comes out of the box. Hughes with him. Score. where the Ducks had the setup they were looking for on the power play of his foot and back the other way come the Devils and that was just a great pass from Mercer over to Hughes. Watch this pass. Little aerial pass over a fallen Mchov that lands perfectly flat and Jack Hughes is going to miss and the Devils have life. It’s three to one in Anaheim from behind the net trying to stuff it on the wraparound. Color put it right back into the goal crease and went off of Allen. Tipped to the corner, centered all the way out. Dylan looks across. Luke Hughes thrown to the front of the net. It skips over to Dylan. His shot tipped on the way by Teemo Meer. Good save by Dost right in front of a 10 bell stop. Timeout. So five minutes to go in this one. Cuts moved forward off the face off. Great pass by Carlson. Crider in. Allen stops him again. Luke Hughes gave it away. It went off the leg of Goce and Senica took the shot. It stayed in the building and right in front of Senica again. That time he was in too close. Left pad of Allen kept it out to the point. Moore winds and fires. Friendly fire that hit Senica. Oh, but Tamish just missed. Crit sends it into the Anaheim zone. To stall took a crack at it, but it’s knocked down by Mason who puts it right through the goal. Grease. Oh boy. Put it in front off the stick of To Stall who laid the paddle down, came out the other side. Britsuk gives it back. Brat moves it around the perimeter. Luke Hughes doesn’t get the shot through. Ducks able to get to the rebound and it’s feathered ahead. Skating towards it and getting to the empty net is Crowner who puts it home. The Devils didn’t change their personnel. Did not realize that went off the outside of the goal post. And Leo Carlson knew exactly where Chris Krider was. Just let him with a little chip as Jake Allen is forced to handle this one. And a sellout crowd comes to their feet on a Sunday night. Ducks are now 3 and one in this building this season. 73 and one on the year as they defeat the Devils 4 to one. [Music]

Lukas Dostal made 32 saves on the night, Beckett Sennecke had a goal and an assist, and the Anaheim Ducks earned a 4-1 win over the New Jersey Devils.

  1. Whatever people say about Coach Q, what an outstanding job he is doing in Anaheim. He has come in and turned one of the biggest whipping boy teams into Pacific's #1 in just 1x month!!

  2. Love this team. The D are so active and kill plays instantly with their stickwork and mobility, there’s close support around the puck and the forwards have been great about covering the point for punching D. This team actually wins puck battles down low now and can generate sustained pressure off the cycle. They can get out on the rush with the best of em. And Dostal’s a franchise stud netminder. Having a blast rn

  3. good to see Frankie finally got his goal! Hopefully many more to come. And how about Ross? he seems to always be around when pucks are going in the net. go Ducks!

  4. I'm a Canucks fan but it's nice to see the Ducks having success again, rebuilds are always painfully slow but it's always fun seeing young guys slowly coming along and finding their way. You guys got a talented crop of young guys there.

  5. Can I get a like if you’ve been watching every game since at least 2010 lol. I’ve watched good players come and go through out the years and, this year looks like the 2014s-2018 even before those years yikes!

  6. Last year Anaheim was just an avarage team that would capatalize on other teams mistakes and go on the rush. Now they are establishing lengthy plays in the offensive zone 5 on 5.

It's crazy to think Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier and Sennecke are just a bunch of 19 and 20 year olds with the production they'r having already.

  7. Another year when the Devils are” scary” and” cup favorites” after a basic win streak occurring. A soft team that cannot defend and has mediocre goaltending. An absolute laugh in front of goal. It could have easily been 7 goals today for Ducks.

  8. What a great team is being built before our eyes in Anaheim. The Ducks had a great group of young players, but they lacked an effective system. The highly experienced Quenneville has built a very effective offensive line in his six months in Anaheim. And young guys like Сarlsson, Gauthier, MacTavish, and Senneke are getting better and better. I especially like Leo Сarlsson, a very smart center who manages his offensive line well. Today he made three or four truly magnificent passes.
