Not particularly surprising. He wasn’t *terrible* but with all our options for starters we really don’t need him now.
This will free up the money we need to compete with the Dodgers and Mets.
Is any of the Meche money still hiding in a piggy bank somewhere?
So that sets the tentative starting rotation to be: Ragans/Lugo/Wacha/Cameron/Bubic w/Kolek, Falter, Wright, and possibly Marsh waiting in the wings for a shot? Damn. It’s weird being that deep (potentially.)
My brain read this as Michael Wacha, and my jaw dropped.
While Lorenzon was definitely a gap filler for us, he ate up some important innings. Really curious if he stays in the bullpen with a more favorable deal for the team.
