Knicks vs Bulls Post Game Show | Live Calls and Reactions! EP 645

Same as before your own. All right, here we go. Salute to Knicks Nation on this Sunday evening. Another edition of KFTV’s Postgame Live. If you’re a diehard Knicks fan, hit the like button, hit the share button, subscribe to the channel. Knicks get back to the winning side of things, man. 128 to 116 victory over the Chicago Bulls at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. The first of seven at the Garden, the longest home stand in MSG history. And uh listen, man, hard to beat a team twice in a row. And the Knicks would come back with what I call an accountability game as Captain Clutch would lead the way with 31 points. You had seven Knicks in double figures, but most importantly, the Knicks defense came to play. All right, Bulls dropped 135 on them on Friday night. Knicks were able to hold them in 116 tonight, bombing away from three. 46 bench points. And back to it, man. Three-game losing skid snapped. All the panic, all the hysteria, we can hold off until tomorrow night, man. Lock in. Call us up on the KFTV Discord. CB Alaros on the ones and twos. Let’s get into it. Stop all that panicking, man. Six games in. Anyway, what’s good? How you feeling, bro? Uh, I’m good, man. I got my cat here just uh wanting to get more treats out out of me. You know, he’s just trying to Yeah. hold me hostage over here. But hey, it’s a good win, man. Knicks bounced back. Defense bounced back. I mean, the best thing I got to see was, you know, I mean, we talked about him last game, too. Josh Hart, I’m sure we’re going to get into, you know, his performance tonight, but what a hell of a bounceback game for him. Yeah. Especially when at the tip off, right? You got an article dropping off how he’s losing feeling in his hand. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, accountability game, man. Accountability game. That That’s what we were looking for tonight. That’s just what I expected. As I said opening the show, hard to beat a team two games in a row. And I expected this team, especially on the defensive end, to just play with more energy and that’s what they did tonight. Look, give credit to Josh Giddy. He was fantastic once again dropping a triple double on the Knicks at some points almost unstoppable. Uh, but by and large I thought their defensive aggression, their pressure, uh, their rotations, and most importantly, their their turnovers, which got them out into transition, you know, and and look, offensively throughout these first six, the ball movement has been there, the shots have been here and there, but once their defense starts and gets them out offensively, I think this is the two-way effort, the two-way game that Mike Brown is looking for out of this team. And so good job by them setting the tone defensively. Captain Clutch Jaylen Brunson set the tone offensively with 19 points in the first quarter. He would finish leading all scorers with 31 points. And overall good affair, man. Good affair. What was your takes? Yeah, man. Absolutely good affair for the New York Knicks indeed. As you mentioned, the defense was on point. I thought Wing Stop was fully activated. You know, you had Bridges getting a steal, OG finishing out in transition. And I thought actually if we’re going to stick on Bridges for a second, I thought he had a very well-rounded game tonight, you know, got his 10 points, got the nine assists, got the five boards. I thought defensively he was great. Even though he had one steal, he was just deflecting and being doing a good job on the perimeter and just switching wise. I thought he was really impactful. And then OG out here knocking down shots, open threes. Man, that’s what you want to see from him from uh the full effect of Wing Stop tonight. 21 points for him, four assists, two steals, one block, two boards, but OG shot 47% from the field tonight. Eight of 17. Dude was just impactful. I loved everything about Wing Stop tonight. And then if we’re going to include in Wing Stop, Josh Hart, which I think we I think we I think we clarified that last season, CP, hell of a bounceback game for him, man. it. That’s the guy who I’m like really proud of tonight because you saw him somber after what Bondi tweeted with the video just he was soaking there on the bench. You know, he didn’t play his best coming back from back injury. We know about the finger injury. All right, you have James Edwards uh III dropped that article about how Hart’s finger got more discombobulated while going through a pickup run and that he’s losing feeling not only in that uh that ring finger but the middle and pinky finger too. So, and it goes in and out sporadically. So, one minute he could be dribbling the basketball, feel it, and then next thing not at all. So, I thought for him to come back out and really perform tonight with, you know, a Josh Hartesque game, man, like he did a hell of a job. 14 points, nine boards, uh, three assists, was just wreaking havoc all over the place, man. Playing like the free safety that he can be. I thought he did a phenomenal job, especially the playmaking, man. Playmaking, pushing pace out in transition. 100%. Um big bodega Carl Anthony Towns 20 points 15 rebounds five assists um shot two or two from downtown only only two threes but knocked down both but 45% from the field overall I liked his aggressiveness it got a little dicey for him in the first half especially defensively but I thought second half especially there was that third quarter uh where the Knicks ran out it was wing stop all three wings deuce and cat and I thought they were able to close out the third quarter very Well, ultimately Shamut would come in and replace I believe he replaced either hard or OG. Uh but that unit with Carl Anthony Towns, I thought they finished the third very well. So I thought second half especially defensively um I I thought he did a good job out there. You know who I we got to give props to CP? You want to know who you got? Your boy your boy Cardiac Clarkson tonight. He showed up. Cardiac. Cardiac. 18 minutes gets you 15 points. six of 11 from the field in the second quarter. That guy was feeling it. All right, I might have to call this man Gumby because the way that he attacks the lane, he’s able to just tort his body and find guys out in the wing. It’s impressive, man. That like how he found Deuce McBride for McBride to knock down a three. That’s just stuff that you love to see from him. But I thought Clarkson in the second quarter, we’re talking about having another guy that could create for himself when, you know, you have Brunson on the bench. And granted, when Brunson went to the bench in the second quarter, things got a little dicey because the the Bulls got right back into it. But I thought with Josh Hart, Jordan Clarkson out there, McBride, all those guys, I thought Clarkson did a great job feeding off of Josh Hart’s energy to create shots for himself and then find open teammates as well. So, I like Clarkson’s game tonight. You know, it’s slowly but surely. It’s like every other game right now where he’s good, then off, good, then off. It’s slowly, but it’s coming along where I feel like he’s getting into rhythm where you’re starting to see the vision of why you brought this guy in here. Yeah, instant offense. That’s what you’re looking for. My guy Cardi Clarkson, but he was cooking tonight out. 11 points in that second quarter and the shots were falling tonight. You saw that nice whip pass that he made to it was was a sham to McBride for that three. That was I think it was McBride to to McBride. Um, so that was good court vision by Clarkson. And you know, I was saying it I think that it was the last post game is that he can get those he’s going to get you those paint touches. He’s done a good job so far of trying to get those driving kicks. He just hasn’t been finishing on those plays. Tonight was his night though. So you had 29 points of the 46 belong to Clarkson with 15 and Josh Hart with 14. So they did a good job on the bench. Uh you mentioned Macau Bridges, a team high nine assists for Macau Bridges. And you know, when we talk about Captain Clark setting the tone with 19 points in that first quarter, remember there was an early play in that first quarter. Mhm. Where the Knicks turned the the possession changed and the Bulls got out in fast on fast break and it was just Jaylen Brunson and Muel Bridges as a sold Knicks back. Mitchell Robinson, OG, and Carl Anthony Towns were all in the back court and Muel Bridges ripped him. Muel Bridges ripped him and said, “Yo, y’all got to get back.” And then on the way to the huddle, he him and OG, you know, was having a a a competitive conversation about, you know, just getting on the same page defensively. So, I just Cap is is is on an amazing run right now offensively, but Macau Bridges, man, Macau Bridges, he’s leading. And and to me that was an underrated aspect of that game where he kind of like yo got these guys like yo get on your toes. And so even though he had the 10 points and nine assists was great. I thought he had a great two-way floor game and then that little intangible right there that showed good leadership. He just continues to look more and more comfortable with this team with this offense. And he’s playing great, man. Cal Bruce is playing great, man. He’s playing fantastic. And look, I I saw it, man. And I saw when he was just next to Mike Brown this entire time at summer league, right? It was just like he was trying to get on the same page with the new head coach and trying to get comfortable because he look he understood that he didn’t play to his full potential his first year with the Knicks. Obviously, we all know about the rift that he has with Tibs and still sending subliminals up until this day, but you can see that with the extension playing for Mike Brown, he’s completely comfortable in how he can be as a player. And I love the leadership aspect that you spoke about and I feel like that also trickled down from when Brunson was just frustrated too. I mean they had an easy transition score and you just saw Brunson like yo guys what’s going on? Why are we jogging back? And that goes to that whole thing that we said last post game. Chuck D mentioned it. These guys got to play 48 minutes on a nighttoight basis. They can’t just take anyone lightly. And when you see Brunson, we see Bridges like that. They know what’s at stake here. And I like that energy because they should want to bounce back after losing to the Bulls. on Friday night. Like you just can’t come back and then go home and let the same team mollywop you on your own home court. And I mean the way the second quarter was going when Brunson was on the bench, you’re like, “Oh my god, are we about to go through this whole thing where felt like it felt like it?” Yeah, man. Like are we really going to have to go with this t like the narrative is going to be crazy if you lose backtoback games against the Chicago Bulls and this is a team that you know was just a playin team last year and now you’re telling me that they have just catapulted. Like no one want to hear all that. So, I like that aspect. I like the aggression, man. And look, moving off from the players. I like that we shortened the bench tonight. Nine players. Nine players. Gerson went out there. Mike Brown said, “Absolutely not. You get out of there. I’m running with I’m running with these guys right here, which is Jordan Clarkson, Josh Hart, Landrew Sham, Deuce McBride. Those were the four guys he wanted to roll with.” So, he went from we saw the 11man rotation shrink down to 10. Now, it’s nine. And it seems like these are the guys that, you know, Mike Brown’s going to be more and more comfortable with because these guys are producing. Even Landry Shamut, you know, nine points, three to six from downtown. I thought he played a really good game as a as a just a good three-point shooter coming off the bench, which is, you know, you look at like guys like what they have out in Boston, in Philly, guys who just come off the bench and all their jobs is to do is shoot threes. I thought, you know, Landry Sham had a good performance tonight. But this is just Mike Brown. where we constantly experiment seeing who’s capable of rising to the occasion. I feel like he’s starting to figure that out right now. Yeah, you you called it, man. You called it, you know, thinking that this this was the route that that Brown was going to go with with the con constant exploring and and tinkering with different rotations and and uh you know, just looking at this thing, I’m okay with it because because he is a brand new coach right now trying to figure things out and and as you said early in the offseason, now is the time to do so. So tonight where whereas in game one you saw guys like Kohic get in the game. Yabosellle did get in the game in this game. Kohic didn’t get in at all. Yaboselli played couple minutes and then he was gone again. We’ll wait and see. I thought there was a couple opportunities that they missed that I wanted to see them get him the ball just to get him some confidence in shooting the ball. I thought there was a couple opportunities in pick and pop situations and pick and roll situations that they missed like two that I saw before he came out. thought it wasn’t his night tonight. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. You know, you have a backto-back against the Wizards. Maybe tomorrow night is his night. But Shamck gets in earlier. Clarkson gets in. He starts killing. Deuce gets in last and then he starts going in. But then we saw uh in the to end the first half and to end the game, the original starting lineup from last year. Crazy. The original starting lineup from last year. So, this is Mike Brown again going with different looks and seeing what works. Hey, and look, I think the thing that we’re seeing too is that Mike Brown is more comfortable playing with guys who are going to execute on a nightto tonight basis. Like we’ve seen this, this is not the first time he’s closed with the starting five. He did that. I forget which game it was earlier this season, but he is comfortable with going with guys who are performing and who he thinks is going to give the best effort, which is what you want to see, right? You don’t want necessarily guys who are going to be out there just because they’re a fan favorite, right? That was kind of the whole spiel with like Josh Hart, right? It’s like, “All right, we all know Tips loves Josh Hart. Why is he closing? We should go with a different lineup.” Well, tonight he performed, so he got the right to close. Simple and plain. Other nights, last last game against the Bulls, he didn’t get the opportunity to close. And that’s all you want to see from the head coach. So, I think what we’re seeing from Mike Brown is that he’s getting comfortable with the guys that he knows is going to perform. We’re still going to get some funky lineups, but I think he’s starting to rain in on like this is the nine guys I can rely on at on a nighttoight basis. Yeah, definitely. Uh three balls falling tonight out 42 threes. They got their 40. They got their 40 piece. They knocked down 20 threes tonight. Um so the they’re the shots are falling. The shots fell on Friday. The shots are falling tonight. 47% the Knicks shoot from downtown, 42% for the Bulls. So, both teams combined for 37 for 82 from downtown. It was a three-point fest at one point in this game, but for the Knicks, hey, shots are starting to fall, man. Shots are starting to fall. We just wanted the defense to pick up and they picked it up tonight. But you had OG 3 for seven. Uh Carl Anthony Towns two for two, Bridges two for five, Cap 4 for 111, Clarkson 3 for six. Hart knocked down one, he went one of four. Hey, he took four shots. Give him credit. Uh Sham three for three as you said and Duce two for four tonight. Shots are falling tonight. Shots were falling indeed. And look, this is what Mike Brown wants, man. He wants to get this team at a high volume rate when it comes to three-point shooting. I mean, what did they shoot tonight? You said 42. Yeah, 42. And they took 95 shots. So, yeah, it’s a lot of threes, man. It is. It is. You know, I mean, when it’s when it’s good, it’s good, man. But when it’s not, hey, you know, we got to switch it up when it’s not good. But hey, it was falling tonight. Can’t complain. But that’s the whole point. And you saw that the way that Brown wants to run this team, right? Where all right guys, get your paint touches, kick it out, keep swinging, looking for the open man. They did that to a tea tonight. I thought they fully executed what Mike Brown’s philosophy is tonight. Even when you see Carl Anthony Towns trailing and they found him wide open for a three. Yeah, that stuff that is like beautiful, beautiful basketball. 3 31 assists. 31 assists in this one. So, great job. Um, you know, but again, to me, the the defense was was really what I wanted to see pick up. They got embarrassed on Friday night and I expected a a more spirited effort and they did that. And and that’s the thing where where with the threes, yes, on some nights you’re not going to like it, but if they lead with their defense, if they lead with their defense and get those transition bucks, they had 24 fast break points tonight and get those transition buckets, get out to the races, get Macau those looks. They got OG those looks off of the live rebounds, touchdown strikes, like those things to generate those easy buckets where because we know in the half court it can get a little bit dicey in terms of their ability to attack the basket. Getting that in transition is going to help, especially on nights where the three ball may not be falling as much. You’re not going to shoot 47% from three every night. So, I think getting in transition, forcing turnovers, and being aggressive defensively will help them generate those easier buckets out in transition. They got to get that do that consistently for sure. They got to do that consistently, which is playing defense. But, you know, the other thing too is like when you start going out there and attacking out in transition like they did, that means you put the defense back on their heels. So, they got to figure out what are you going to do next? Are you going to go attack for the mid-range? Are you going to look for three? Are you going to go out there and get, you know, attack in a foot race? So all those things, you want to diversify the offense and how you’re scoring. And that’s kind of what was the the issue with this team for the last three games is that they were trying they were really playing at a slow pace. They weren’t co causing havoc on defense. They weren’t generating turnovers and then they were working strictly in the half court, which look, I know when you play for a long time under Tom Tibido, that’s what you’re used to, but got to change things up, man. You got to switch it up. So good to see that they did that tonight. suits to everybody in the chat. Once again, hit the like button, hit the share button, subscribe to the channel, KFTV’s postgame live. Knicks get the win 128 to 116 over the Chicago Bulls, uh, tying that home and home series. And hey, look, the way that the Bulls shut out the gates. Is it sustainable? We’ll see. But at this point, this was an undefeated team in the East. They didn’t have Kobe White. I thought the Knicks were fortunate that AO didn’t play. AO Dumu did not play because he put 22 on him. So, we’ll take that. But you never know where this Bulls team may end up. Is this a Cinderella season for them or what? So, getting these wins, you got you got to get on track. The Knicks did not want to go down 200 to this team and especially coming off a Friday when they got pretty much embarrassed, man. Didn’t want that to happen. So, uh good job by the Knicks getting on track. Call us up on the KFTV Discord and uh and give us your takes on tonight’s game. We got some super chats that have just come in. Al, shout out to uh Lord Steven Stone, franchise channel member Fight Al super chat. Great win today. He says the defense was here today and the bench helped. The ref was not it today in my opinion. Yeah, the refs I think the refs were still on daylight savings time. I don’t know what the hell was going on with the with the Zebras today, man. And they got the new earpiece to help speed things up. And it did speed things up. CP, first of all, look, man. I don’t know. Like that one rep that couldn’t get the earphones in. I’m like, come on, man. Like they they were having not listening to music. Do you not know how to do this? This is pretty like 101 basic stuff over here. Come on. Like what’s going on now? And then on top of that, you watch you watch at the back at Sakauus at the replay center and they’re like, “All right, man. What did did it go off of uh Herder’s leg? Did Josh Hart touch it?” like they still couldn’t get it. Still couldn’t get it right. You and I made that decision in like 2 seconds. They had to take a good whole 5 to 10 minutes to make a decision. Insanity. Yeah. Uh shout out to Nelson Carolina Contraras watching on the Facebook side. Shout out to you, Nelson. Uh made a good point, man. 22 of 22 free throws out. When What if we said that? Nick shot 100% from the free throw line tonight and got there 22 times. That was a good job by them being aggressive and converting on their free throws, man. I am happy when I see the Knicks actually shoot their free throws because we all know how bad they can be. So, thank thank you for doing that, New York. Thank you for hitting your free throws because that’s what help you win games. Shout out to Jay Thompson on the Facebook side. Ron G McDaniel says team looks injured. That was another thing in this game that I was like, man, we had so many scares in this one from from Josh goes down. He’s hold well first we came into this game the game starts and we get the update that Josh Hart is dealing with nerve damage in his hand right so we’re like okay that’s crazy then Josh goes down holding his ankle he gets up and he finishes the half then Mitch goes down holding his foot and I said oh boy here we go it’s over with here we go it’s over with again but but he came back he came back into the game he came back I couldn’t believe it I couldn’t believe I knew I thought it was over, bro. You and me both. As soon as he walked back, I was like, I could already picture everybody in my DMs telling me, “Yo, this is why we got to trade Mitch.” This is Oh, yeah. Like, all right, man. I’m like, “Okay, let’s go out and go get Walker Kessler. Go. Let’s go deal with Danny Age and his crazy butt out in Utah.” Yeah. Crazy. Crazy, man. So, shout out to Black Nest. Welcome back. Thank you. Thank you, Mitch, for saving us. Yeah, thank thank you [ __ ] for saving us. So, oh man, just just tough. Just tough. Uh, we got we got some more franchise channel members that we want to welcome to the channel. Some new people who’ve just joined. Shout out to and welcome William J 1980. Welcome to Dennis Moses 27, Paul McWh 5388, uh, X-Mad Mex, and Tony Hammond. Salute to you guys. Welcome to the franchise channel members. everybody in the chat at those people and welcome them to the show. Okay, speaking of franchise channel members, we’re going to load them up on the Discord. We’re going to load up some franchise channel members on the Discord. William J, are you there? William Jay, kick us off tonight. William J, are you there? Unmute your mic. I think you just did. I’m here. I’m here. How you doing, fellas? Good, man. First time calling in? No, no, this is not my first time calling in. I’ve been I’ve been talking to Alex and CK a couple of times. Uh it’s been kind of busy, so I haven’t had a chance to call in for a minute. But no doubt. Um how you guys doing tonight? Yeah, good, man. Good to get off the wind. So, it’s been busy. I’m about to retire from the military, so I’m just I’ve been getting all my stuff together. So, nice, man. Thank Thanks for Thanks for your service, man. What division are you in? Uh I’m in the Navy, man. No doubt. No doubt, man. Thanks for your service and um congratulations and good luck, man. Appreciate it. So, I I think the biggest thing that everybody’s got to understand, man, is the biggest thing with this team right now is comfortability. when they are um when they’re comfortable, they play very well. But when they’re not comfortable, especially when they’re not hitting their shots, then it affects it on the defensive side and then they they’re they’re getting long rebounds for the other team, then they’re chasing and they’re getting tired. And I just think if you see the difference between the games that we lost and the games that we won, the games that we won, we were really comfortable. The games that we lost, it was just a really up and down pace and uncomfortability when it comes to the players. And I think it was just, you know, I think once all that comes together and they can start all getting real comfortable and everybody kind of knows where the their niches are, then it’s it I think you’re going to really see how this team is going to click as the games go on. I mean, look, it’s a new system. Like I mean, last year we had Towns, it was a new player. Now we got a whole new system for everybody on the team. So, it’s going to be a learning curve for everybody, especially Mike Brown. And today, he even said it. He said, “Look, my last game I did way too many substitutions. The the flow was just not right. I just think I hurt the team more than I did when I was doing all the substitutions. So, I think it’s just a learning curve for everybody. And I think once all that stuff just starts to just settle out and everybody just gets real comfortable and you can see some play. Look, this is the perfect system with Muel Bridges. Yeah. Like I think this is the system that he’s been playing in his whole career and now that he’s playing it in again, I think he’s going to shine throughout the entire season. I think everybody else is just kind of getting to the flow of it. But I think once the games go on and on, I think you’re going to start seeing more and more. I mean, look, we’re going to have bad nights. Every team does. But the consistency I think is going to start to show more. Yeah, 100%. You know, my I think I think and rate that call in the chat. Good people in the chat. Rate that call in the chat. One being trash all the way up to 5 being facts. This is what we do on KFTV postgame Live. You guys in the chat, you guys are the judge. Let us know what you thought about the call. Um I’m with him now. Number one, like you said, it’s a work in progress, man. We have to be patient. I mean, five games in the panic has just been OD. Yes. is some of the some of the signs from last year still rear its ugly head, but they still also had a good team last year. Like, let’s let’s let’s not make no mistake when when when they’re on their game like they are tonight. They are a very good team still. So, we got to let this thing come together, man. I’m with him, bro. For sure. And look, it’s the thing is that we know that this team has talent. It’s the effort. That’s the big thing with this team is the effort. Yeah, they’re the hunted now, man. You can’t you can’t This ain’t a cupcake league. Rest in peace to my guy Cory Homicide Williams. I I I said that the other night cuz he was a Josh Giddy guy. He he used to cover Josh Giddy down in the NBL and unfortunately we lost Homicide way too early. But that’s what he used to say. This ain’t a cupcake league, man. You got to be you got to be on your P’s and Q’s, man, every game. Absolutely. And look, tonight they were on it. They were they came out focused and they just got to keep doing it, man. Especially when it’s against top tier competition like like I said last postgame, you got the Chicago Bulls, you’re facing them, they’re 5-0. You should go want to go out there and prove that you know you’re better than them. Bucks Sixers are on a roll right now. Any team that’s ahead of you, you should want to go out there and prove. So hopefully they stay dialed in as the season progresses. Let’s get the MSG report from our guy STG Nick. STG Nick is a season ticket holder. Uh calls in every night with his arena report. STG Nick, how you feeling, man? I’m feeling good. Um, a lot more calmed down than I was on Friday after the loss against the Bulls. Um, but I definitely like the way they bounced back and I mean, maybe for a change, they’re be going to come a little bit more of a dominant home team. I mean, it’s 3 and 0 now at home. I feel like over the seven games, man. They should be they should be locking these in and getting back on track, man. No reason not to protect home court. Definitely. This is a seasonl long seven game home stand here. So, you want to rack these up, especially with winnable games tomorrow, Washington. Um, and then Minnesota’s a tough one. And then they have like Brooklyn, Memphis with their whole situation. And then, um, they play, I think, like Orlando who’s struggling. So, definitely want to, you know, take care of home court um, for sure. But I liked overall what I saw from everybody tonight. I like that, you know, Browns shorting the rotation um, to nine. Was always a fan of when Tips did that. And you can see like there’s a reason you know tips didn’t play some of these guys like they gave Kick and them a chance and then um you know they gave me an evaluation period and it’s done now. But what’s just interesting to see like Yaboo has kind of been pulled kind of almost completely which is a little interesting. Um wonder if they continue to you know do that or get maybe it’s based on matchups but um cuz I think he can provide some things but also I liked what I definitely saw from Josh. I think Josh people were overreacting to Josh um big time. I mean like he didn’t even play in the preseason like basically at all in the preseason and then he’s a player that he typically ramps up as the season goes on like he doesn’t you know take early season super seriously. So that’s why I can never even overlook things. Remember last year in the preseason he didn’t he scored like no points at all and he’s like I’m lost and then he had the best season of his career. So I don’t know I’m not too concerned about him. He he showed it tonight. He was excellent. Well it’s it’s it’s it’s um the defense and then the finger. It’s like, is he going to take the shot? How is he going to do tonight? Look, he took four shots. He knocked down one. The confidence was there. Uh, but I also felt like his energy kind of set that tone. You know what I mean? Definitely. Yeah. No, I agree. The finger though, that that will be a concern throughout the course of his season, especially after the game. That thing is how I don’t know how much bandages they use. They might use a whole roll. Real talk. Oh, yeah. No, definitely. For sure. And then Oh, yeah. Also Mitch, too. Mitch gave me a heart attack. The second he went out, I was like I said, we got to like start looking for backup base. Blockchess had me shook, man. Absolutely shook. How was the vibes at the Garden, man? How was Celebrity Road tonight? How was the vibes, man? You you you It was good. The vibes were good. Yeah, the the vibes were good. Um I thought people left a little bit early when they were up by like 22, whatever it was, and the Bulls like kind of low-key cut it to like 12 with like two or three minutes left. Um but the vibes were good. It was a Sunday, early, you know, November. I thought it was solid. Um, but yeah, I think you know, hopefully it’ll be good Wednesday, especially Wednesday against Minnesota. Tomorrow they have Washington, so take care of business and keep it going. Got to got to get that Minnesota game. SG Nick, appreciate the call, man. Call back anytime, man. SG Nick on the Discord. He says, “Hey man, go easy on Josh.” He says, “Uh, Josh Hart’s demise. We’re a little too early.” Rate that call in the chat. One being trash, five being facts. That article by Trilogy though is so interesting like when you read it and uh I don’t know if you want to go over it CP, but there are some things that stood out to me in that article because Josh Hart talked about wanting a consistent role on this team like it to like towards the end of the article, Trilogy mentions Josh Hart wants a consistent role. Like he doesn’t want to have to go back and forth between, oh, tonight I’m a starter. you know, most nights I’m sixth, seventh, eighth guy coming off the bench. He wants to know what his role is on a night-to-ight basis. I find that very interesting. He also like and also, you know, I know they said it was going to take what, three months if he got surgery right now and he didn’t want to miss it. Those two things stood out to me. I’m going to start with the not wanting the surgery right now because people like, why not just get the surgery? Why not do that right now? And Josh Hart is a role player. Like it’s every season is not guaranteed for Josh. His currency is his availability and how good he could produce while being a role player. Yeah. And the best example I’m going to use right now is Malcolm Brogden won six man of the year with the Boston Celtics. Yeah. Yeah. It was essentially doesn’t play like two seasons cuz he goes to Wasteland out in Portland in Washington. Gets to the Knicks. You see how rusty he is. We’re we’re like, “All right, this guy’s gonna be 10th, 11th man, like break glass in case of in case of emergency if you need him.” He didn’t want that. He wanted a larger role than that. Yeah. And he’s also worried about injuries, too. And now look at him. He he retired right before the season started. Right. The fear for someone like Josh Hart is that if you’re not playing, you start to get forgotten. if someone else supplants him in that role. Now, this team, especially since you don’t have Tom Tibido, right, who’s going to advocate for you every single night, the fear is, all right, where do I get traded to next? And he talked about not wanting to be traded. He wanted to find a home. The last thing you want under a new head coach saying, “Hey, I’m not going to utilize this guy. Go move him somewhere else and get me something in return that I could use.” Yeah. Like that’s why I that’s to me why he doesn’t get the surgery now. But the but the article also said he doesn’t know how he’s going to feel after the surgery. It’s not a slam dunk that is just surgery recovery and then your good money, right? Is it’s not an exact thing even if he gets it. That’s why I think it’s a offseason thing. I I agree with that too. And it’s like they also said that even if he got this if he if he waited until the end of the season to get surgery, there’s not going to be any more damage. So all of that in conclusion, like what I’m saying, what you’re saying, I get why he doesn’t want to get surgery. Yeah. Now adding that with saying, “Hey, I want a consistent role.” I think this is a little bit of PR, man, because let’s say let’s say he does take a downturn. I don’t think he is. Like after tonight’s game, you see he’s still got some energy, still got something left in the tank. if if the minutes are not as crazy. I feel like he could produce what he’s doing tonight very consistently throughout the reg throughout the regular season and postseason. A little bit of PR saying, “Hey man, I’m not looking to be a starter. I’m comfortable coming off the bench. I’m happy doing that. Don’t worry about me. I’m comfortable because I want to prolong my career in the NBA.” You know, some guys want to say, “Hey, I I’m a designated starter. I don’t want to do that. All I want to do is start. I need my minutes X, Y, and Z.” I think it was also good PR by Josh saying, “Hey, I’m a good I’m happy coming off the bench and being a role player.” I want to shout out a couple super chats that have come in in here. Shout out to Tom from Huntington. $50 super chat. It’s a salute to the number one show for the fans by the fans. Salute to the chat and the sponsors. Great win. Let’s keep building that team chemistry. Rapid fire king. Shout out to our god Tom from Huntington for the love, man. Shout out to Tom. We got a $10 super chat from the rhyme animal. Chuck D fan charge channel member Al says Josh Hart is a basketball player, not just an athlete like so many of these new players. You need basketball players who play basketball, not just stunts. Long season, y’all more than half a year long. Yeah, that that is absolutely true. And um speaking of Josh Hart out, he did meet with Bill Pedo after the game and uh here’s what he had to say. Man, let’s play this Josh Hart soundbite and we will react to it. to everybody in the chat. Hit the like button, hit the share button, subscribe to the channel. Here we go. Oh, did I have this on mute? Let’s unmute this. All right, here we go. Here’s Josh Hart. So, Josh, coach Mike Brown, pregame said he was hoping for a full 48 minutes from you guys. How close did you come to accomplishing that tonight? Uh, not as close as we want to be, but uh, you know, we’ll take the win. Uh, we got another one tomorrow, so now it’s time to recover and get back to it. Your best game of the year. What keyed your great play tonight? Um, you know, just trying to get back to being myself, man. Playing with joy. Um, having fun out there and just being myself. The bench that you were obviously a part of had 46 points. Mike mentioned the high last year for the bench for a single game was 52. That’s how good you guys were tonight as a group. What was the key to your great performance? Um, yeah, man. We just wanted to come in to bring energy. Obviously, JC had an amazing game today. Um, Landry came in, everyone that came in, Deuce, um, they contributed on both sides of the court. Josh, thanks for stopping by. We’ll see you tomorrow night. Appreciate it. So, Josh. All right. So, that was Josh Hart meeting with our guy Bill Pedo of MSG Networks and um Al, you know, they’re saying that I might have uh helped him, man. They’re saying I might have helped uh uh Josh, man. They say that, you know, after after Friday night and I I’ve I’ve I’ve been feeling this from last year like the fan base was slowly turning on him and I just felt that energy and and Friday night was a rough go for him. You could see it. His body language was bad. We showed the video. He’s at the end of the bench with, you know, hand head in his hands. He was really in a tough go. 15 minutes he was getting smoked defensively. The AO, all of those guys were crushing him. He was getting killed. So, I shot him a message. I just shot him a little message on Twitter and a message said, “Keep the faith, man. Keep the faith.” There you go. There you go. Yeah. I just felt like at this moment he needed some words of encouragement, man. Keep the faith. Yeah. Because everybody’s dooming and glooming. Dude, they should have traded him. They should have traded. You know, everybody’s crying after five games. You know what I’m saying? And I’m like, this is a guy who’s never cheated the game. He’s never cheated the fan. He gives it 1,000%. He’s been an engine for this team for the last three seasons, bro. When Julius and them was gone, it’s Josh and Cap doing what they have to do. Hella high water. We can’t forget that, bro. And I see it. I I you can see this the slow decline with him, but I’m I’m not with the the dumping on the guy. The guy has given us warrior effort night in and night out since he’s gotten here since he since he unpacked the bags in the mid trade deadline. You know what I’m saying? He has his flaws. The defense has been atrocious. We know it. The three points been atrocious. The injuries bad for him. We all know that. But I’m just not with the dumping on the guy, bro. the the the guy’s poured his heart out for this city for the last three years. We got to do something to lift him up, man. You know what I mean? It’s counterproductive to not We need We need him to be successful. We need him on that bench to be the glue guy, to be the grit. He’s one of the only grit on this team. We need the grit for sure. And look, he is a great rebounder, solid playmaker. You know, he causes havoc, great out in transition when he gets the opportunity. Got to support the dude, man. Although, I gotta say, I like your Chris Collinsworth, uh, you know, nation. Now, here’s a guy. Oh, I didn’t know that was Collinssworth. I didn’t know that. I didn’t know that. Real talk, I didn’t know that. But yeah, I just, you know, just came to my spirit. I said, you know what? We We got to lift him up. We got to hail up our guy, man. We We can’t turn on him. Yes, we see the decline in this game, but we we got to lift him up. There might this something there there’s just a little bit left. There is there’s for sure something left in the tank, man. And like look, he probably even tuned in to Friday night’s post because, you know, we were talking about, hey, you’re not doing it right now, man. And it’s like we’re starting to see like how much longer do you have based on your knee, the finger, you know, you gave everything left in the tank last season, like the way your play style, you’re all hustle guy, like that’s your bread and butter. Like to see that for you to be effective and, you know, just calling it out like we see it. And I feel like you listen to that. You mentioned you said keep the faith. Look, man, this is a guy that is truly like there I go doing the whole Collinssworth thing. But look, seriously, this is this dude, man. This dude is a is a legit is legit the heart of the team. Like you can’t just give up on a guy who has poured everything since he, as you mentioned, came through to New York, whether it was against Cleveland, Philly, Indie, like all Detroit, Boston, like this dude has given everything that you’ve wanted from a player. You know how we talk about, oh, New Yorkers know like, well, we love the grit, the hustle, and everything. How are we going to turn on a guy who literally does all of that for us? That’s the grit. That’s the grit. Like you, we ask for this all the time. A guy who actually gives a damn about wearing New York across his chest. Nobody more than Josh Hart does that for this team. And we’re ready to ship him out because ah, we don’t know what he offers anymore. Ah, this that, and the third. Oh, man. You know, he doesn’t shoot well. Come on, man. Do I agree that maybe he doesn’t have to play 48 minutes and we got to reduce the role to make him effective? Sure. Yeah. But we got to be respectful of like what he actually has done since he’s arrived here, man. Give him some respect. So to everybody in the chat once again, hit the like button, hit the share button, subscribe to the channel. 128116. Nick snap a threeame losing skit. Uh let’s get to the key stats of the night brought to you guys by DraftKings Sportsbook. Uh both teams shot the ball fairly efficiently on the night. Uh 45% from the field for the Knicks, 48 for the Bulls. But downtown, both teams are on the money. 47.6% for the Knicks compared to 42 and a half for the Bulls. As you mentioned in this game, Knicks go perfect from the charity stripe out. 100%. 22 of 22 from the charity stripe compared to 81 for the Bulls. Uh Knicks did edge the Bulls in a rebounding battle, 47 to 46 on the assist side. Much better night for the Knicks. 31 compared to 28 for the Bulls. And then uh total turnovers tonight, 11 for the Knicks, which led to 16 Bull points. It was a little bit less than what happened Friday night. They gave up 25 points off of turnovers because their transition defense was just atrocious. Now tonight, they cut it down to about 16. For the Bulls, 14 total turnovers led to 14 Nick points. Knicks turning it up on the fast break side, 24-9, which I thought was much better. still gave up way too much points in the paint to the Bulls 54. Uh but conversely, they got uh 42 back and then largestly the of the night 25 for the Knicks compared to two for the Bulls. Hey man, we talked about my favorite by the numbers is the 100% free throw rate. So, let’s go knock down every single one that you had the opportunity to knock down. But look, I think the biggest thing that stands out to me is that the interior defense is just not there. This Bulls team loves to get downhill. You talked about 54 to 42. I know Mitch went out. He only played 13 minutes tonight. And he’s somebody else that needs to get into rhythm to offer what his best asset is, which is rim protection. He didn’t have him out there, so everyone’s just going walting into the paint and just attacking at uh a high clip for Chicago. But that one is going to stick out to me until Mitch gets healthy because if guys are if we’re going to have a hard time defending the paint and I know some may get tired of it because this is what Tibs had a big emphasis on it’s just not going to be good because then they’re going to generate easier looks from downtown if the team is a good three-point shooting team. So you got to have that balanced defense. I thought they did a solid job from the perimeter even though Chicago shot well but they were forcing them off the line to attack the paint. But we need to sh up that paint presence. And that’s just Mitch getting healthy, Ariel Hooki like improving his game, Carl Anthony Towns just being locked in on defense as much as possible. Like those are the things you’re going to need for this team to really hang with some of the top teams that can get downhill cuz you think about a team like OKC, right? Shay is going to get downhill relentlessly, man. That’s that’s what he wants to do. Same thing with JDub. So you you got to come correct when you’re facing these top teams that can score in the paint, man. And and and speaking of getting downhill, man, that boy Josh Giddy is still carving these boys up. And give credit where it is due, man. This kid has arrived. Or at least it seems so. A triple double tonight. Uh I I think it’s in his future, man. A triple double tonight. 23 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists. He came into this game averaging 199 and8 against the Knicks between his career with OKC and the Bulls. Shot 52% from the field. Uh as I said the 12 dimes. I mean he is making it look effortless out there. And to me the most impressive thing is that on both nights whether it’s Mau or it’s OG he’s finishing through contact. He’s finishing over them with e with relative ease and strength. I mean, he doesn’t even look like he’s sweating out there. He’s impressive, man. Give credit where it’s due. Very impressive. Right. They did a good job extending him, man. I mean, yeah. Yeah. This is what OKC was hoping for. And, you know, this is the this is the issue when you have a lot of talent, you’re trying to get everyone the rock. It’s like too much overlapping. you see that him and Shay could not exist, but now that he has his own team here in Chicago, that guy is just ridiculous, man. I mean, he did everything and anything he wanted, which is that’s scary. That is absolutely scary. Always he always finishing through the dog like no problem. It’s crazy. Shooting over McBride, man. McBride has some good perimeter defense. He’s like, “Nah, that that doesn’t bother me. I’m going to just shoot right over you.” Like that type of stuff. If if the Chicago Bulls fully fill out that roster to match his play style, that’s going to be a dangerous team. I mean, they’re already like they’re just for as an NBA fan, they’re fun. They’re exciting to watch because of how they play at such at that pace, but man, Giddy is just doing everything and finding pe finding everybody like he draws so much attention and knows where everyone is on the court. This is why he’s racking up assists, man. Yeah. Just top tier playmaking and scoring at this point. He’s living up to his draft potential and uh hey it’s an embarrassment of riches for OKC but for him certainly working out and and now he can he he wants to claim the Bulls as his as his team and looks like it’s slowly taking taking and he fixed the jumper CP like he’s knocking down threes now knocking down Yeah, he’s he’s knocking them over 40%. Yeah, worked on his game, man. Anyway, the key stats of the night, ladies and gentlemen, brought to you guys by our friends at DraftKings Sportsbook. TP Alex, what up fellas? How you doing, bro? What’s going on, man? Yeah, I was about to uh crack a joke on Pitty, but I was like, you know, it’s a family show. Let me hold off. Okay. Yeah, please. Please, please. Yeah. Yo. Yeah. Um, I like the game tonight, fellas. Yo, Josh Hart looked quick. Like, it looked like he was back to form. Um, but the the only thing I was talking to Grabber in the in the uh members lounge, like we’re a little bit short, like small, you know, on that lineup. We got cuz we’re basically playing Hart, Clarkson, Deuce, Shamut, right? So, it’s like four guards. I don’t know if Yaboo is even really playable. I I appreciate the fact that Mike Brown probably listening, man. He’s like, “Yo, let me shorten the lineup a little bit.” Yeah. Uh the team looked like they had purpose tonight. Uh everybody looked like they was But yo, man, Mitch, when Mitchie went down, bro, I I was in Applebee’s eating. I took like three shots. I was like, “Come on, bro. Come on.” He came back in. Hopefully hopefully he’s all right. So, let’s see what Let’s see how it goes. We have tomorrow night, so I’ll take this W, fellas. Take it easy, man. There you go. There you go, man. Salute to the Knicks Fix. Uh, you had something out. I’m just shocked you at Applebee’s, bro. That’s all I’m shocked at. Me? No. Oh. Oh, the Nick Fix said he’s at Yeah. Yeah. I I mean, I haven’t been there in in years, bro. I couldn’t tell you what Applebee’s got on me. I don’t even know what Apple be. I don’t even I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen an Applebee’s. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, here we go. It was revealed, Al. Uh, you know, the Knicks do this thing in the locker room once they get a win for the defensive player of the game. And the the the winner gets the pair of Tims and the construction hat. It’s going to the dog. Clap it up for the dog, man. He gets today’s defensive player of the game. And and there he is in the locker room with the squad. So squad showing off that that camaraderie. I like that. You know, build up some chemistry. And shout out to the dog, man. You guys know the dog is my guy. And uh he’s been great, man. He’s been great so far. He’s off to a good start. 21 points for the dog. Three of seven from downtown, 42%. He had the two steals, very aggressive, four assists, one block. So, you know, when I talk about this team really just getting out there and forcing the issue, um the dog has to set the tone and and guys will follow. So, you know, Cap and and Macau were able to do that on the offensive side and the dog has done that on the defensive side. But, you know, Allie’s he’s uh you know, 16 points, six rebounds, two 2.4 assists on the campaign so far, shooting 45% from the field and uh 39% from downtown. So far for the dog, man. Shout out to OG, man. And look, this is now I guess he’s two he’s got two defensive player of the games. Clarkson one. Yeah. So, hey, looks like it’s And look, I I thought Clark’s defense was good tonight, too, in that second quarter. Which has been shocking, honestly, because this is a guy that’s a guy who I’m like, yo, he’s usually a turn style defensively. But, hey, he’s competing. You like to see it. And uh yeah, good for OG, man. Want to see how many I want to see how many defensive player of the game awards he wins by the end of the season. But the good thing about OG too is that, you know, when he left Toronto, right, we remember how he talked about saying he wanted a larger offensive role. Looks like he’s just buying into the role that he currently has, which is just knocking down threes, getting out in transition, getting limited opportunities here and there. And I like what I’m seeing offensively. Defensively, we already know who he is, man. He could guard one through five. Doesn’t even matter for him. He’s just that strong, that impactful, that just like has great intuition on when to just jump passing lanes and just steal the rock. Fantastic game, man. Well, well, make or miss, at least what we’ve seen from him and since he’s been here, is he’s not afraid to be aggressive. He’s he’s taking him he’s pulling up. He’s pulling up from three and he’s attacking the basket and we know sometimes the finishing can be a little bit dicey, right? Whether he’s hitting the deck, bro, when he’s at the end of this like, come on, man. So that that could be an adventure in itself, but at least he’s aggressive because with the Knicks lack of that athletic guard or Wayne who can get there with ease, hey, the dog uses his size and he gets there. You know, the dog uses his size a lot. And the pull-ups are nice, too. Yeah. And I think the most impressive thing is that he’s willing to dunk as a finish. Not like his layup. He wants to dunk. like he he doesn’t mind embracing the contact while he’s midair, especially with a guy who has an extensive injury history. So, I love it, man. I love it. Absolutely. All right, back to the Discord we go. Uh Grabber Grabber, let’s go back to the members lance and get Grabber in here. How you doing, man? Yo, yo, what’s good, y’all? How you feel, bro? Man, I’m all right. Uh good dub tonight. You know, I like how I like how Mike Brown, he’s showing the rotation, you know. get, you know, get guys more consistent with it. Um, I feel like defensively, if we could play like this, you know, on a nighttoight basis, then we’ll be really good. I think MueL kind of how we tried to do with RJ a couple years ago, like RJ run with the second unit and really make that like his unit. I think we need to do that with MueL. like he he need like we need to take the little bit he he was doing in Brooklyn that with the playmaking transfer that over here with the second unit because like I was telling the Nick Fix like we got a lot of we got a lot of play finishers but not a lot of playmakers you know what I’m saying? Yeah. And I I think that’s like you know regular season is cool. I think we going to get by, get our wins just off of talent alone. But, you know, when the the playoffs start rolling around and things start slowing down and, you know, the defenses, they they starting to pick up on Brunson, trapping him, double triple team him and all that. We need, you know, other people that could really connect the dots and get everybody else rolling, you know, cuz that that’s what we we fell apart, you know, against the Pacers. Like, they was like, “All right, Brunson, we’re not going to let you kill us and we going to see what anybody else can do.” And nobody was able to pick it up. You know what I’m saying? But I I think we going to be good for the regular season. You know, shooting was good tonight. I ain’t going to lie. We we was we was hitting them. We was bombing away tonight. So, that was look that looked good. JC had a good game off the bench. That that’s like another big key thing. Like if Fica hoop like that coming off the bench, I think we going to be solid. Yeah. Yeah. Good points, man. Appreciate the call. Grab on the Discord. Rate that call in the chat. One being trash, five being facts. How did you guys like that? Uh those takes from Graba. Oh, we got to shout out our guy out. Shout out to our guy, man, Christopher Abbott. Salute to our guy, Christopher Abbott, man. $50 super chat says, “Solute KFTV fam. Allaround good chemistry tonight.” Uh, Bench stepped up big tonight. Let’s go. Shout out to Christopher Abbott, man. He was he was in the building tonight. So, shout out to Christopher, man, for repping KFTV Nation. And we had a good good crowd at the Garden, man. Good crowd. Yeah, man. Shout out to Christopher Abbott. He was on the Jumbotron. They’re showing all the, you know, they’re showing Celebrity Row. Shout out to you, my man. Yeah. Shout out to Christopher, man. He he hit me right before game time. Uh I wasn’t at the game. I didn’t make it to the game tonight. I I’ll get uh get to the garden soon for one of these on on the home stand. Just figure out which one I’m going to get to, but um yeah, shout out to We all know it’s going to be the Raptors game, CP. We all know you want to go see IQ and RJ come back through. We all know. You know, I got to see my boys, man. You know, I got to see my boys, man. But yeah, you know, I’ll probably get to one or two of those. So, you know, I’ll get get to the garden. Will it be against the Timberwolves? Who knows? Oh, Wednesday. Yeah. Julius. Julius. Ant-Man’s not going to be there, though. Ant-Man’s got a hamstring, though. Yeah. Get to see Dante, though. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Big Ragu. That’s a good game to get to. Yeah. So, a couple good games on the on the home stand for sure. And my Wizards, my Wizards are coming into town. Oh, here we go. Are you conflicted on Monday, CP? Let’s What is Is there Is there a song like Let’s Go Wizards. What’s the Wizards thing? What’s the thing? Is there a Wizards fan out there that can like teach me the ways of the fan? You know, how dare you? This is disgusting. We got to do what we got to do, man. Hype these Wizards up, man. Let’s go. The captain, the conductor is is rooting for the Wizards. Watch the draft position. Are you actually rooting for them on Monday night? Is that what you’re going to do? Never. Never, man. Come on, man. I could never. God, I could never do such a thing. But I am watching. I am watching that. Yeah, I don’t know how that post game would go if the Wizards somehow won. Like, oh man. Well, thank God for draft position. You know, you get these teams that get that, man. Like, you know, Golden State got that when they when they had the the Minnesota pick and they were able to turn that into, you know, they mistakenly turned that into Wiseman, but they it should have been somebody else, you know. Uh uh the the Thunder get those things. Why can’t Why can’t it be us? Why can’t we cash out this year, win the championship, and then say, you know what? Oh my god, the Knicks just got the 10th pick in the lottery with a big draft. Crazy draft. You want that answer? 10th pick and the 15th pick. Let’s go get two dominant wings in this draft. Uh and a backup center. We need a backup center. Get a give me a wing and a center at all. I can answer that question for you. Adam Silver doesn’t want to have it, man. You know, why can’t we be that lucky team, man? Never say never. So, let’s go Wizards. That’s all I’m saying. That’s that’s all I’m saying. Let’s go Wizards. Uh Mike Brown met with the media after the game, man. Let’s hear what the coach had to say on this one. Salute to everybody in the chat. Once again, TP and Alex on the ones and twos. Call us up in the KFTV Discord if you want to get your points across. Here’s Mike Brown. Here we go. Uh tonight we were closer to playing a 48minute game on both sides of the ball. We had some hiccups throughout the course of the game. Uh we had a stretch where they hit some threes and you know we just went to switching everything and our guys did a nice job once we went to doing that to take away the pick and pop threes and then we got a little sloppy in the second half and we settled down and and close the game the right way. Um so again I still think our ceiling is is a lot higher but I think you know you guys can see some of the potential uh on both ends of ends of the floor. Um, this group is more than capable of playing fast. Like we we scored a 128 points and, you know, I probably could have scored a few more in in my opinion if we would have taken care of the ball like we’re capable of. Yeah. I I can’t see. Uh, I I need progressives. Is that what it’s called? Progressives. Me and you, coach. But I don’t. Um, but I I got a real good eyeglass place in Westchester. Uh, they didn’t give me a discount, so I’m not gonna say their name, but if they do, if they No, Yo, I gotta pause that. Coach thinks like me. Yeah. You know what I’m saying? Oh, brother. You don’t say the name if they didn’t cut you a deal. I like this coach already, man. That is good business right there. Next thing you know, we’re going to see that we’re going to see that brand doing some deals with uh the Knicks for commercials. Look, look where I bled it. Look where I blows it right on him. This is my kind of guy. He’s saying he’s an A. Cut the check. So, we’re not dropping the name. I like this guy, man. Watch him come through with some like Gucci or like glasses next round, man. Watch. Watch. Shout out to coach. Going to have some designer frames next time we see him on the sideline. Yeah, I like this guy, man. All right, let me play Let me play some order. Shout out NBA New York for uh clipping this up. There we go. They they got a lot of different specs that I could pick from. Um and if they do, maybe I might say their name one day. Um but but our defensive player of the game was was OG. He did a heck of a job. We made a little bit of an adjustment by putting him on G uh Giddy and uh and we switched pick and roll. So heck of a job by him. Uh Jaylen, 9,000 points. It’s unbelievable. Um we we won the possession game uh 25 to9 and again that’s uh free throw attempts, offensive rebounds minus turnovers and and you know verse a good team you got to win the possession game. So it was great. We had 20 sprays and then you know a lot of great individual performances you know starting with with Cat Cat 20 20 points on 11 shots. 20 points on 11 shots. fantastic game, but more important than that, he had uh 15 rebounds. You know, a heck of a game. Muel, he had nine assists. And I don’t know what his career high is in assists, but nine assists, it’s a really good basketball game. Um we had 31 as a team. And and then Josh, you know, Josh had nine rebounds. I mean, I could go on and on with the different contributions that we got throughout the course of the game, but good team win and it feels good to to see us string it together for longer than just 24 minutes like we did the last two games. All right, so that was Nick’s coach Mike Brown really detailing what what where he thought the game went well. Couple interesting things there, Al. He talked about um what they calculate as the possession battle and he he he said he calculates it as uh the amount of free throws plus the amount of offensive rebounds minus the turnovers. So he calculated that as 25 to9. So he thought that was a win for the Knicks. And then he said uh 20 sprays. So we got 20 sprays um there. That’s what he wants. He wants those good driving kicks. That’s the the staple of their offense for the Knicks to be able to generate those threes. Um, but again, you know, second chance opportunities. I don’t think we we we pulled out that stat when when we did the key stats. Uh, but they did get a good amount of second chance opportunities off of those offensive rebounds as well. For sure. And I like how Coach Brown is bringing up these, you know, even though it’s statistics, he’s making it more advanced stats, right? Like saying, “Hey, this is what I really want.” Using advanced numbers, saying, “This is what I want from this team. This is what I think a good metric for this team is based on a 100 possession game.” You know, I like that he’s bringing that to light for us to understand like what his philosophy is, what he’s looking from this team on a nighttoight basis because it helps guys like us really gauge like is this team actually buying into what Mike Brown is selling and are they doing it on a consistent enough basis based on their matchups. So, I like I like all that, man. Telling us how he’s breaking it all down. Yep. True. True indeed, man. We’re going to get to uh we’re going to get to P Mc in just a second, but we got a couple super chats that we want to shout out. And so to everybody who’s been calling in and great show, shout out to Melo Mike. Shout out to Melo Mike. Franchise channel member File Super Chat says, “Uh, Nicks did well shooting tonight, but still needs to work on their defensive rotations. Coach Brown did well on keeping his rotations nine to 10 players. Let’s go Knicks.” Yeah, he did talk about, you know, it’s a game of run. Chicago did uh go on a couple of their runs and and uh but you know I thought the Knicks did a good job of closing the door cap as well as the the rest of the starters plus Josh did a good job of uh just closing the door. Shout out to the rhyme animal Chuck D once again. Fight out super chat says I remember when CP said before the heart trade tibs would have played him in street clothes day one. From there it’s been non-stop. That that’s a fact, man. That’s a fact. We can’t bail on him at the first sign of struggle. Can’t bail on him in the first sign of struggle man. So we got to we got to stick with our guys, man. He He’s He’s a needed member of this team. So we we just got to ride the wave. You know what I’m saying now? just got around for sure. Especially when if you’re talking about not having a lot of center depth. Well, wing depth. He gives you a lot of rebounds or or wing depth. Yeah, that’s that’s true. Wing depth center like big depth. Like he gives you a lot of rebounds. So, you got to rely on you got just be you just got to embrace the the struggle that him just getting acclimated, man. It just takes time for some guys. Yeah. Like we we we we’re willing to give how are we willing to give Frank Noakina like five years to develop. Yeah. And then after we’ve seen the development of Josh Hart here in New York, we’re like, “Ah, all right, man. Let’s throw this guy to the wayside.” Craziness. The honeymoon always lasts for so long, man. It just happens. It’s just It’s just the It’s a cycle with players. It just happens. It happens in all sports. Obviously, New York, it’s it’s magnified just based on heavy expectations to win a championship, but you know, nobody uh nobody stays on top forever, man. You know, it just happens that way. And it uh it becomes frustrating for the player, becomes frustrating for the fan because the player is not living up to that standard that they set. They set a high bar. Hart has set a high bar, right? I mean, look at this is last year. This is a guy who was a triple double capable machine every single night. Prior to that, he was the Energizer Bunny. The rebounds, leading the league in rebound, rebounding with centers, leading as a guard in the rebounding category, playoffs, his three-point percent, like he set such a high bar that now that he’s not consistently there and now that his role is not there, you know, the criticism starts. It’s just part of the part of the deal, man. It’s part of the business, man. I I get it. But as soon as like say he’s gone, we’re like, “Oh, we need somebody like him.” Then it’ll be like you go through the whole like get your flowers when you come back. Yeah, man. But people will be reminiscing like, “Oh, remember what he used to be a Nick and what he used to do for That’s what the Legends Row is for. You get your flower. You go sit on Legends Row. You go sit with Nate and Strawberry and and LJ. He’s not talented for Hart yet, but he’s he’s getting there. That’s what Legends Lounge is for. He’s not getting there yet. Relax, man. He’s still on this team. Okay, relax. No, but I’m just going over his words. He He said it last year that like he didn’t feel like he was going to stick around that long. Remember he said 35, man. He said 35. How old is he right now? 31. That’s not that long. Oh my god. That’s not that long, bro. I take it one day at a time. All right. Hey, there there it is. So to everybody in the chat once again, hit the like button, hit the share button, subscribe to the channel. P McH, what happened to P Mc on the Discord? We were going to you uh but we’re going to have to settle for uh Michael White. Michael White on the Discord again. I’ll meet your mic. Michael White, are you there? You going to settle for me? How are you going to settle for me? And you know, let’s go. And I ain’t even been drinking tonight. Okay. Well, that’s a good thing. It’s Sunday. It’s Sunday. I’m going to cuss you out today. Okay. Let’s go. Yo, how you feeling, man? What’s good, man? I feel real good. And I just listening to y’all talk about Josh Hart. Yeah, man. That guy had more minutes than anybody in the league last year. Yeah. Yeah. And we have to ask the question, why did we fire Tibs? I mean, the guys, they want Tibs back. According to some people, man, man, they’re losing their mind. You know, we’re going to win a championship this year. Let’s go. Yeah, we are. And uh I think everything going to be all right. But and I love the way the coach coaches and you’re right. You are actually right about something that you said last game. You said that, you know, the coach kind of has to let Brunson be Brunson. I was watching him today. He was doing some things that nobody else can do. So, while we’re running this offense, we also have to allow him to be him. So, you were right about that. Yeah. Appreciate the call, man. Appreciate the call, Michael. You got the TV going on in the background. So, I’m going let you go. He’s watching Wheel of Fortune or something in the background. So, we’re going to cut cut him off because the ambient noise is not conducive to a productive co postgame show. So, you call back tomorrow, Mike White. But, thanks for calling in, OG. Yo, cap is cap, man. And like, you know, you have people complaining, oh, he’s holding on to the ball. He’s holding on to the ball what? Every time he scores 30 points. Like, do we not want our best player to be the best or not? Do we want to be the best or not? Man, Cap is going out there, he’s killing 19 first quarter points. And I have people at me on Twitter like, “Oh my god, what? This is the same thing. We’re not going to anybody else.” And then you finish with six guys in double figures. And this has happened how many times out of the six games already? Like like do we not want Cap playing like the all-star version of himself? He’s getting busy out there, man. And he’s moving the ball, Al. And I’ll say this, the third quarter, did you notice that he was going to towns a lot more in the third? Did you notice that? Yeah, I did. Keeping him active, man. Look, that’s something that they definitely talked about, spraying the ball around, looking for guys, trying to get them involved. Then look, this team is only going to go as far as our best our two best scorers go, which Cat and Brunson have to be able to work together, pick and roll, pick and pop, like there’s still more that could be worked on between their like d like their play calling together, but it’s a good starting point because outside of last season where we saw some pick and pops, then January comes around, we don’t see that anymore. Like you got to figure out a way to get these two guys in the same play in the same area involved because that’s just going to wreak havoc for any defense. Like how are you going to say, “Hey, we’re going to just, you know, be comfortable with either Brunson or Towns working in the paint or shooting from downtown.” You can’t. Yeah, Cap is uh is actually is he’s going in. He’s seeking and destroying and he looks fantastic. Uh he’s looks fantastic. 19 points in the first quarter. He finishes with a team high 31. And this is another accountability game for Cap. Al, we we talk about this time and time again. After a tough game or maybe a tough stretch, Cap delivers. You don’t got to worry about him. Everybody else, okay, this guy is he doing this is and we we know Cap’s flaws. We we know all of it. But we know that offensively he’s going to lead and that’s his strengths. play to your strengths. And he and he’s doing that efficiently, too, might I add. Very efficient. Very efficient. And you don’t want to change like he it’s a delicate balance of letting Brunson be who he is and having him play within what the system that Mike Brown wants to play. Cuz let’s keep in mind like the reason why Mike Brown’s here to implement that system is because he wants to see what we saw these last two games where you’re getting guys, multiple guys in your starting lineup getting over 20 points. That’s the goal because last year as everyone talked about it’s only Brunson. It’s only Brunson. It’s not only Brunson when you get three four guys against 20 some odd points. That’s not only one player. So that’s the only thing though like but I think as of right now we’re seeing a good balance right now but it will continue to evolve as the senior as the season progresses. For sure. For sure man. Brunson delivers. And you know who else delivers Al? You know who else delivers? Michael. No, not Michael White. Wayfair on all items, big or small. We haven’t gone past Thanksgiving yet. Well, that’s what I said. I I didn’t get it yet. I didn’t get mine yet, but she’s planning. She’s She’s already planning. It’s just November 2nd. You know what I’m saying? It’s just November 2nd. I got to go through my stages. I got to go through my stages before I’m fully in holiday mode to But today was like my semih holiday. I I told you this on the uh on in the green room. I told you. Y’all know this. Y’all know that I’ that have been watching this show. Daylight savings time is one of my favorite days of the year, man. Next to Christmas out, it is one of my favorite days of the year. I we we must have slept like maybe like 12 hours last night. I kid you not. It was fantastic. We went for a hike yesterday. We went up to uh uh which hike did we do yesterday? Anony’s nose. Yes, we went up to Peak Skill. Anony’s nose. The the trail is called Ah, you went to Westchester around. I was in your neck of the woods. Uh yeah, I was in your hood. I was in your hood, man. So, we were up there and uh I had a great hike. Great hike. Great scene and and uh and nice just overlooking the uh the the Hudson. It’s beautiful. This is very nice up there, man. Very nice clean air. So, we went up there and then got home. I was I was cooked after we ate dinner and yeah, I must have slept from like, bro, I missed game seven of the World Series. Wow. I woke up, Cave 7 was over. It was a classic. Totally missed it. And then I crashed out in and out of consciousness. Yeah. Woke up, watched the marathon. That’s my thing, too. I watched a marathon. Did you watch a marathon today? I did not watch the marathon today. You’re so you you’re such a sellout, man. You went all the way up to Boston completely. Do you you must watch the Boston Marathon, don’t you? Don’t you take part in that? No, I don’t actually. Anyway, I watch Yeah, watch the marathon. You know, I usually watch see who wins the first two winners. Ladies winner, the men’s winner. Okay. And then uh what do I do after that? Watch the Gmen game. That was horrific. Oh, whoa. Yeah. Sorry about that. Yeah. Well, I’m at the point of the season like like I told Marie, I’m at the point of the season where I pitywatch the team. You know, you you go it’s there’s stages to watch in the Giants game. You go from, you know, o overenthusiastic, very enthusiastic in the beginning. You don’t have any expectations, but you know, it’s that that fresh tear the bow off the season, new team, the quarterback, and all of that. So, you want to see the guys. So, you go from optimistic for the first two games, and then you get concerned, you get worried, and then it’s all out the window. It’s like, all right, it’s completely cooked. Y’all do what y’all do. I’m still going to pity watch. And that’s what I did today, man. I pity watched the team, bro. It it it sounds like uh watching the Knicks back in the day. Yeah, it that’s exactly that’s exactly how it was. So, pity watched, you know, watch Sllayton drop another critical pass and wonder why he’s still on the team and then I moved on quickly to the Knick game because I knew they were going to deliver tonight. There you go. Get my spirits back. For me, it was a good day. Uh Knicks won and the Jets didn’t lose because they had a by-week. So, you know, that’s You didn’t lose. Good. Yeah, that’s what I thought. Man, I’m happy for you, bro. Thank you. I appreciate it because you know how it goes being a Jets fan. You talk about open up the season with optimism. Jets fans, they they still do it, man. I open up the season with pessimism and like I have no idea what’s going to happen. So, I’m like, “All right.” And then you say it’s pity watch, it’s hate watching at this point. Cuz I am just like, “All right, man. I’m just putting myself through torture cuz nothing else is on TV.” You know, around that time, actually around 1 p.m. is when my son goes down for a nap. The MS goes out. So, I’m like, “All right, I got nothing else to do around here.” So, let me just throw on the Jets game. See what happens. And then I just get progressively more and more angry as I watch the game unfold. Except for last week because they won. So, that was just a nice surprise. So, so you’re riding high. You riding high, man. Salute to you, man. Thank you for the New York Knicks for being good. Yeah. Yeah, man. Salute to everybody who’s been enjoying this daylight savings time, man. As you get older, it is Christmas, man. Cuz literally time just flies so much, man. You just, you know, you’re trying to hold on for daylight. Except for me, CP, as I told you, uh I I put I I was like, “All right, it’s day savings time.” Yeah. My son likes to wake up around 7 a.m. I’m like, “All right, we’re going to hang out a little bit longer than normal so that way you you’re up a little bit longer so that way you potentially sleep in.” Yeah. Well, that backfires. Backfires, man. Backfires. You know, he will I hear him on the monitor saying, “Mommy, daddy.” And I’m like, “It is 6:30 a.m., good sir, go back to sleep.” Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, you’re getting to the point, man. You’re getting to that transition phase, man, where, you know, you’re going from three naps to two naps to no naps, and then before you know it, you know, you’re going from baseball practice to soccer to, you know, taekwond do just you just you’re just in demand 24/7, man. It’s over with. There’s no breaks for you. Then you then then you’re going to start appreciating these daylight saving times. you going to come to me in two years like, “Yo, CP, man, what’ you do with daylight savings? How was that sleep?” I’m like, “I told you, bro. I told you get that nap in dog.” I’m already I’m already on the dad the dad nap, right? Yeah. 8:00 p.m. comes along, he goes. Taking a nap. It’s powerful. Hey, you need it. It’s powerful, man. For sure. Um, shout out to our guy Eugene. Our guy Eugene just sent us a super chat checking in from the Bay Area. Shout out to Eugene. [Applause] $50 super chat says, “Uh, normally replay gang, but catching KFTV live. This team reminds me of the Celtics two years ago. Looks dominant when the threes are falling. Good games though.” Yeah, it’s one of those, man. Live by the three, die by the three, and tonight was their night. But I also thought uh tonight was important for them to get back on track defensively. Friday night, they shot very well from the field. The Knicks shot very well from the field Friday night. Uh more than enough to win. They dropped 125 points. And you had the same situation here where multiple guys in double figures. The offense is fine, but they needed to apply some pressure defensively and I thought they did that behind the home crowd and had had the energy going that they needed to uh to set the tone and close them out. So, uh, good job by the team. Shout out to Eugene. Hope you and the family are doing well. And and shout out to you guys, man. Ow. Who’s this name? Hang on. Shout out to Tommoyuki Maria. This is a guy. He ordered a snap. He ordered the same snap he got on, man. KFTV royal blue. Uh this is a New Era snap. Shout out to New Era uh for uh producing these for us. And we got him in black, too. We got them in royal blue as you see 3D embroidered. Uh we’re sending one to Tokyo, Al. We got Let’s go. My man just ordered just one snap. We got one snap going to Tokyo. So shout out to Tommoyuki Moria. Yeah, we sending this to Tokyo. Interesting, man. You know, so just for you will be hand delivering it. He’s getting a plane ticket right now. Yeah. You know what? Um yeah, shout out to my guy my guys at Lettuce. They’re they’re doing a uh they’re doing a tour out there. Um my guy Adam and them they’re out in Tokyo right now. I haven’t been to Tokyo. You you’ve been out there? You you’ve been in the Far East? I have not. I wanted to make that truck trek out there, but I have yet to go out there. Yeah, I want to add that to the list. We’re going to get to Tokyo and check it out, man. You know. Okay. All right. Let’s get some more people on the uh on the Discord and then we’ll wrap up. Great show. Great session. Let’s go to Who we got here? Fire Killer. Fire Killer. Go ahead. Unmute your mic. Uh what’s going on, guys? What’s good, man? What’s your name? Where you calling in from? Um I did see I’m calling in from uh 23rd Street. Okay. All right. New York City. How you feeling, man? Did you go to the game or what? No. No. You know, I wish I could afford that, but I went to see Tamon Paul at Barclays last night, so I I don’t have any money left after that. Nice. Okay. Okay. You know, tonight was tonight was exactly how I talking about, boy, let him uh the team to look like with, you know, with Mike Brown’s new offense. And I think this is exactly what he was hoping for. Yeah. You know, I think people are saying, you know, the players are getting really used to the system, but I think he, you know, um Mike Brain said something very interesting. I think it was really important. He said he said that he’s getting used to the players. And I think we’re seeing that more and more. You know, you guys were talking about how he seemed a little bit uh hesitant to let Brunson, you know, just like do his thing, which makes sense because, you know, you don’t want to need someone to drop 40 every night like it was in 2023. But I think they found a really good balance today. And I think this is exactly what Mike Brown is going for for the rest of the

  1. Is Josh supposed to feeling in his hand crippling him in order to win games?

This is shameful He should not be playing

If a surgery is the solution he should have it

  2. Bottom line, the Knicks did what the Knicks was supposed to do. They are the lead team in the East, so they should be sending a message that they are indeed the best team in the East. I didn’t panic, my main thing is the Knicks must be focus and put forth a strong effort each game. They cannot take any night off.

Defense Defense Defense. We must play defense at a high level at all times. The offense will be there. We enough talented offensive players that put the ball in the basket.

Now this particular problem is a concern to me. Too many Knicks players be falling to floor. Which definitely makes you hold your breath. They must learn to stay upright. This win is the blueprint they to develop to be a consistent threat for a title.

  3. 🫡 Take the win. However, every 10 games I’m taking a barometer reading. Right now, I’m not convinced the Knicks as a unit are buying into Mike Brown’s system. It’s inherent when Mike Brown disavowed any knowledge of Josh Hart’s nerve damage to his hand injury; followed by Josh Hart admitting, “Yeah I suffered nerve damage to my injured hand.” It’s gonna take about 20-25 games to see if this system is gonna work. Keep the faith! 🙏
