I always like seeing these updates from Jfresh (On Twitter/X) to see how the team is doing from an analytics perspective.
Looking at these results, it paints a fairly optimistic evaluation of the team through 11 games so far. The team remains strong offensively in terms of quality (xGF/60, image 2), and despite the angst of our defending from some, they remain one of the stronger teams in limiting quality against (xGFA/60, image 3). Combining these first two metrics they maintain a positive (greater than 50%) outlook in quality generation compared to opponents at 5v5 (image 1).
Image 4 shows goaltending could be a little better and is hurting us somewhat, but not to a significant degree, and the 5th image shows that we've largely been unlucky given the strong 5v5 numbers and lack of a goal differential to show for it. Granted I think a big portion of that is 1). Being unlucky and 2). A power play that is struggling.
All in all, these are good numbers to see and evidence that the early part of the season was a blip on the radar. Now, recent competition hasnt been as strong…see weak 5v5 numbers from Anaheim, Nashville, and Dallas, but you play who you play.
Hopefully, they continue this good play and like Hagel said, were laughing at that earlier start by game 60.

Goal differential needs some work
Hint: SHOOT THE PUCK
It’s a good team. Some of you people on this sub after 2 weeks sounded honestly insane.
The team is 1st or 2nd in posts hit so that supports the unlucky/puck luck theory.
Absolutely hate that the Panthers are right there with us. Frig off, already.
The story I am telling myself is through the first 5 games, most of the team was sick with what knocked Kuch out for a few games. That is based on zero facts.
Yes, they are playing well but not finishing.
