One week until I fly from Alaska to Detroit for a couple of games. I can’t wait!!
2nd in the Atlantic, 4 points clear of Tampa Bay, that’s some great stuff!
The Atlantic needs to chill out.
Damn the Eastern conference is going to be an absolute rock fight.
The Seider Mill™️ squeezed Celebrini into pulp last night. Moritz>Macklin. The sun is shining extra bright this morning thanks to #53

How about those Griffins? What a start to the season.
I feel like the whole standings race should slow down very soon, as long as the wings don’t consistently loose we’ll be ok. Yes, they should always do their bests but its hard to give it your all every other night for 82 games.
Need someone to pose as an Uber driver and take Jack Eichel the wrong direction on Tuesday
I don’t really understand the people who were saying that was an ugly win last night. It’s not an ugly win just because you don’t steamroll your opponent.
The Red Wings dominated play for a lot of that match, ran up against a goalie who was on his game, and still walked away with a W. The Sharks converted on a couple of their good looks because that’s what young star forwards do. It wasn’t an ugly victory, it was a hard fought win.
There’s a reason Todd keeps saying “there are no easy wins in the NHL” over and over again.
That Rayzor goal was an absolute laser beam
Daylight savings is stupid
LFGGGG..🔥💪 still jerked up from the win last night. If we can grab some points outa Vegas.. be a very successful road-trip. Something similar to the one we had last season with a few Canadian west coast teams and one in Seattle I believe it was where they won all 4 games.
GR Prospect update:
Nate Danielson – 4 GP, 5 Points (1G, 4A), +2.
Amadeus Lombardi – 8 GP, 9 Points (9A), +9.
Carter Mazur – 5 GP, 6 Points (4G, 2A), +7.
MBN – 3 GP, 1 Point (1A), +1.
William Wallinder – 8 GP, 3 Points (3A), +4
Shai Buium – still IR
Sebastian Cossa – 4GP, 1 Shutout, 4-0, 1.75GAA, 0.939 SV%
Michal Postava – 4GP, 4-0, 2.22GAA, 0.934 SV%
Everyone is looking good. Danielson is the most noticeable out there, you’d think he could get the callup first. Mazur was noticeable as well, however got hurt and we still don’t know his timeline. Ammo with the +9 is best on the roster, and looks very flashy in the o-zone, would be nice to see him get a look as well. Overall fantastic start though franchise record 8-0.
Was that our highest deserve to win o meter game so far?
Your Detroit Red Wings are on pace for 113 points.
Gotta like how the Aves are 7-6 but have more points then the Wings. I know it’s a tired thought but this year I’m following the standings much more closely and it is annoying
How good would Toffoli look on our team? I mentioned yesterday that now would be a great time to make a move to show the boys we are confident in their hot start.
If I were SJ, I’d ask for Max Plante or Ammo in return. I know we all love the guy – but I’d make that Ammo trade to get a 25goal scorer here.
SJ is about 2 years out from contending and Toffoli would be on the last year of his contract and 35.
What do you think?
The SNL NHL Cares skit is pretty fun. It’s cheap jokes at Nashville’s expense but it’s still funny lol
I think it is time to go back to Nard Dog. Hamonic giving Holl vibes with his bad decisions.
Raymond just an amazing player. I hope we have another like him in either Buchelnikov or Bear or someone else. Regardless, the Red Wings need it.
Finnie and Larkin also had a solid game.
Excellent showing by DeBrincat and Kasper. Kane coming back soon would be great.
Finally, an awesome game by Seider. He needed that goal as well. But just a solid great overall game by him. It is Edvinsson’s second season and I see him picking up his game more very soon, but we all know more is needed from him.
ASP, totally such a mobile defensemen. Love it when he is out there.
Would like to see Kasper on shootouts. They used him during the pre-season. A little puzzling why they have not tried him there.
The entire eastern conference is .500 or better.
Genborg is really doing great. Can turn out to be a pivotal player.
Genborg: 18GP 7G 6A 13TP
Kiiskinen: 20GP 6G 7A 13TP
Buchelnikov: 21GP 7G 9A 16TP
Bear: 9GP 4G 4A 8TP
Plante: 10GP 9G 10A 19TP (This young man is going to take off in GR when he comes over… hopefully, he will want to transition after the NCAA season).
While the team can use Kane again, the roster still can use either MBN or Danielson. The organization to me, needs to make a decision soon about either one being called up. There is a missing piece and I think we know it.
I’ve had my Rasmussen hater goggles on lately, like many here have so I want to acknowledge that he had a good play last night on the PK! He jumped a pass in the neutral zone and followed up with a nice pass of his own to Appleton for a shot that was gloved by Ned. He even skated up to Ned after and forced an O-zone faceoff like he gave 2 shits.
I’m critical of Ras, but dude does play like an NHLer sometimes. Okay my daily good deed is done.
I think we need to hire a new skate sharpener lol. So many blown tires recently
Hadn’t seen this posted yet. Always interesting to see his this looks compared to what you saw

The one downside to the Wings playing better defense and limiting shots against is that just a single goal or two is enough to tank our poor goalies’ save percentages. Talbs played a great game last night but still walked away with an .889 save percentage because he only faced 17 shots the whole night.
Was nice to see a W when we woke up!
Man, even if we lose to Vegas this has been a great road trip. 6 points, and got the sharks monkey off our back. These road trips the past few years were awful, giving up points to the last place ducks while we were in the playoff hunt was a joke last year or two years ago.
Blues trying to snap a 7-game loss streak tonight. That’s a tough look.
Right now, the team is just not getting enough out of its bottom six. I look forward to when our other pieces are ready and can solidify it a bit more.
The future (a nice thing to have):
A lot of questions down the road, though there is still time. Do the Red Wings re-sign DeBrincat when the times comes if there are others who will be ready to replace him? How long does Kane play, one season more? Does the organization move onward finally from Copp, Compher, and Ras sooner than their contracts expire? Of course, I do not know this and of course, it all depends on when our prospects are ready. But there is a lot of competition coming very very soon. Buchelnikov, MBN, Bear, Genborg, Kiiskinen, Plante, Danielson, and Lombardi will be making it tough for those players above and perhaps others.
I’ve been putting it off for a week, but I’m 100% buying tickets to tomorrow night’s game in Vegas. Can’t make it back to Detroit this season, so this is the next best thing.
Good morning folks I hurt my lower back making my bed
Does this make sense for our forwards post 2020 draft? All of them show they can score of course.
Players that hit and have skill and dig in the corners:
1) Finnie
2) MBN
3) Genborg
4) Bear
Shooters and skill
1) Buchelnikov
2) Plante
3) Kiiskinen (this guy can lay hits as well an digs in the corners).
4) Lombardi
Skill:
1) Danielson (Does anyone know if Nate shoots the puck enough?)
