  1. Three starters on the offensive line beat up and one MIA. Hopefully the bye week fixes all that, or it’ll be a rough season for Mahomes.

  2. I’ve been saying this, but I was actually having more fun last season going nearly undefeated than losing half our games. 🤣

  3. It will certainly be interesting to see where Veach goes with the trade deadline. Was the Bills OL that good that our pass rush was nearly non existent? Did their run defense all of sudden snap into form? All of this and more on Unsolved Mysteries.

  4. Winning is the only thing that matters in sports. Last year was infinitely better when we were winning close games constantly than whatever the hell this season has been. We are headed for a 2024 Bungles season at this point where the offense is “fun” but finish 9-8 and miss the playoffs.

  5. Draft capital is limited. If we need to make any trades, maybe use Mitchell and Fulton to regroup what we’ll lose? Sucks we don’t have a 6 or 7 this year to play around with.

Any other players in not thinking about in terms of having trade value?

  6. I understand the point that with our record we need as many wins as possible just to make the playoffs. That’s valid. But I just can’t get past that I don’t think last night’s loss has any bearing on if they play Buffalo again. We’ve seen how this plays out too many times.

  7. We need the bye week to get healthy imo, we’re fine. We didn’t play well and still were a goal line stop away in the first half and had our chances in the second half. A few plays decided the game like most of these big games.

  8. We were scrambling and hoping for miracles every drive, while they were getting first downs without trying hard. Hunt did some good 7-8 yards runs, but suddenly we dropped the run game. We won against: The Raiders who suck, the Ravens without 90% of their offense, the Lions without their secondary, the Commanders without Daniels and the Giants without Dart. We lost against the Bills, the Eagles, the Chargers and the Jaguars. With our schedule in mind, something has to change rapidly. We are not that good at the moment. Call me a pessimist, but we aren’t getting to the Superbowl this year. We would be lucky to get out of the wildcard round

  9. I’m hoping there’s some conclusion or actual information about the Simmons situation over the bye week. Because seeing how much pressure the bills got without blitzing. I can’t imagine what the broncos will do

  10. Only 1 road win and it was against the Russel Wilson Giants. KC has looked atrocious on the road. Also, Worthy never looks like a 4.2 guy IMO

  11. Two statistical regressions from last season that I don’t see a lot of fans talking about but that are costing us:

1: Away games. Last season the Chiefs were 7-9 in away games. So far this season they’re 1-3 in away games and the only win is vs the Giants. Home Field Advantage seems to be the only way they can beat a decent team, which doesn’t give me confidence vs the Broncos after the bye and the Cowboys on a short week.

2: One score games. After going 13-0 last season, including playoffs, the Chiefs are 0-4 in one score games this season.

  12. Our pass rush is awful….awful not even the right word…it’s completely non existent.

Why the fuck was CEH getting carries over Smith last night? The coaching staff’s complete reluctance to let the guy (Smith) stay in there to get in a rhythm and see if he can find some holes against a poorly ranked Bill’s team is infuriating.

  13. Yesterday’s game was disappointing and they have some things to work on over the bye week. Still, no matter what happens the rest of this season, this team has been to 5 of the last 6 Super Bowls and won 3 of them. No one can take that away.

  14. With a bye, and some rest, we can win at least 6 of our next 8. Jags don’t look great. Chargers have a tough run home (imo – and potentially lost Alt?)… we will get it together. Chris jones will get a rocket up his a-nus… we’ll be fine. Positive vibes, positive vibes.

  15. The offense just has no balance and defenses basically never seem fooled against us.

Sometimes Mahomes can make a play or guys can get open on talent, but defenses are never fooled.

  16. Curious a bit about our o-line depth and why it seems so entirely disastrous. Around the league, lots of teams have their o-line starters go out, and the results are not instantly catastrophic. The Bucs were down multiple starters for weeks and Baker isn’t running for his life on every passing play — sure he takes a few more pressures, but they still operate the offense in rhythm. Joe Alt goes out for the chargers and of course the backup isn’t elite, but he mostly does the job. The offense doesn’t instantly break, like it does for us. Wanya Morris barely gets his hands on guys. I mean it’s like having no one there at all. What is it about our 0-line that makes it so easily broken?

  17. I’m also a Nebraska fan so this was a rough weekend. At least there’s volleyball.

  18. If we don’t trade for defensive line help I’ll assume Veach is waving the white flag this season. Seeing Philly make moves non stop while we sit here waiting for anything to happen is getting old.

Also if Mitchell isn’t getting traded why don’t we cut him? Why keep him on the active roster if we’re not going to use him? Calling up Clyde from practice squad when we have him on the active roster is crazy. What about Fulton?

  19. I feel like the whole rush 4 drop everyone into coverage should be easy to combat but apparently not.

  20. Andy Reid has put his hand up too many times to say he that he should have run the ball more. I was tired of it the last time he did that. He needs to stop putting himself in that position and just run the ball against a poor run defense. So frustrating… and I guess Nagy just does whatever Andy wants. Nonsense overall.

  21. I’m really surprised to see all of this discussion about not running the ball today. In the second half we ran the ball on 5/8 first downs for 1, 4, 4, 8 and -1 yards.

The bills want teams to do exactly what we did on first downs which is run the ball and not be successful. Kareem hunt can’t make safeties miss and generate explosive plays, which is really where buffalo has struggled.

The last few seasons we have played this matchup extremely conservatively with the play calling because Andy Reid is saving all of his exploits for the playoffs. If you’re going to be annoyed at him it should be for that, not because he didn’t run the ball. Joey bosa is a notoriously undisciplined rusher and we didn’t once use a hard count to draw him offsides despite him teeing off every snap. I truly believe this was a conscious coaching decision and just an example of Reid playing chess against himself for no reason.

  22. Im not going to be worried until we lose another division game. So possibly our next game. But we control our own destiny within the division still (almost, depends on tie breakers) but it will be tight because they have to win every remaining division game.

  23. It’s subtle but we missed Pacheco against the Bills. Not so much what he brings in terms of anything unique but instead what we do with him. We pretend to be dedicated to the run a little more with him. We use him in pass blocking to better effect. Hope he’s back to normal vs Denver.

  24. Yesterday was one of the worst sports days I’ve had in recent memory with the Chiefs losing and Denny Hamlin having the most heartbreaking championship loss possible. I’m glad we got a bye week here to get away from sports for a bit.

  25. Two biggest issues I saw was our Defensive line cant generate a push allowing QBs to get way too comfortable and expose our LBs and secondary, and the OLine was allowing too much pressure forcing Mahomes into too many prayer balls.

Hopefully Simmons comes back soon and we can start possibly moving Moore over to RT because Taylor was an issue all game

DL there isnt much of a fix there, Veatch screwed up giving all that money to Jones and Karlaftis as Jones has clealy lost a couple steps forcing Karlaftis to do more and he’s just not talent enough to do that

  26. Still bothered by that first Allen sneak TD.  They probably score regardless, but when does the virtual measurement get used?

  27. I don’t really feel bad about yesterday’s game. I went into it very confident that we would win, but I’m not feeling like I did when we lost to the Chargers or Jags.

Just something about this game felt like they were playing with one arm behind their back. The ole’ conspiracy theory that Andy won’t put 100% towards a likely postseason opponent.

Every problem is fixable, but it felt they were playing at 80% power.
