  5. I think he was pointing or yelling at Hayes prior to this. Jaxson was kind of creeping up to double or “fire” and that led to an easy pass and layup. JJ did not like that lol. So it’s a freak out, but a freak out with a reason. JJ will never yell at missed shots or just getting beat by a hot team, but he will absolutely hold you accountable if you don’t play with effort or make a bad mental mistake like Jaxson did.

  7. Lakers basically put the game away after this so this was some great coaching. Lakers badly needed a guy like this who would be willing to do whatever he had to to win, versus Ham who just aura farmed on the sidelines

  19. Beyond JJ high basketball IQ you really got to like his intensity.

    He always looks like he’s on the verge of having a stroke but the NBA is missing coaches like this that are not just babying their players but actually holding them accountable.

  28. NGL, had my doubts about him at the start, but when I saw him slamming his chair and yelling last season… I loved it. Let’s hope the intensity doesn’t backfire, but so far, so good.

  37. Actually just before that timeout he caught the lakers defence sleeping in the patient and basically ran to the paint while calling Timeout.
