[McMenamin] JJ Redick: “I became a Dodgers fan when I played for the Clippers. Although … as a Clipper, I remember going to games multiple times and they were like, ‘Hey, can we put you up on the jumbotron?’ I was like, ‘Hell no! I’m going to get booed! I’m on the Clippers!’”

  1. Clippers shouldve just moved back to San Diego tbh. I get LA is a bigger market but they would’ve been a lot more accepted down here. We got MLB, MLS and thats it for pro sports.

  2. They booed Chris Paul and his son.

    From [2014](https://www.espn.com/blog/los-angeles/clippers/post/_/id/6340/cp3-expected-boos-from-dodgers-fans):

    > When Chris Paul was shown on the big screen at Dodger Stadium on Friday during the Los Angeles Dodgers’ home opener against the San Francisco Giants, he was booed louder than any Giants player on the field.
    >
    > The reception didn’t come as a surprise to Paul, who smiled while being jeered and playing an in-stadium trivia game with Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford.
    >
    > “I expected it,” Paul said on Saturday. “When they came and asked me to that thing with Carl Crawford, I said they were going to boo the life out of me. I told Cat (Belanger, the Dodgers’ broadcast and entertainment coordinator). She’s been there every time that I’ve been there for games and she was like, ‘It’s cool.’”
    >
    > Paul was booed last season when he threw out the first pitch to Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp along with his four-year-old son, Chris.
    >
    > “The craziest one is when I had ‘Little Chris’ with me,” Paul said. “But he didn’t know what was going on. Now if I take him he’ll know what’s going on.”

  3. This is damning on both dodgers fans for booing a 4 yr old(Chris Paul’s kid), and on clippers ownership for never being able to make the Clips a true “LA Team”

  4. Maybe Balmer should move the Clippers to Seattle. Those guys need a team. Also, Seattle is in the same state as Microsoft right?

  5. Seems kind of weird to me she’s asking a question about championship DNA to someone who has never won one.

  6. When the Lakers were really bad from 2014 to 2018 the city kind of somewhat got behind the Lob City team in like the flakiest possible manner. I went to a couple of the Clippers’ playoff games in 2014 and 2015 and they had a really good playoff atmosphere.

  7. How is he talking into the mic but it still sounds like we are listening from the hallway?
