How Does THIS Keep Happening To The Atlanta Falcons?!

Before we break down exactly what went wrong and what went right for the Atlanta Falcons yesterday, I figure we just get this out of the way as quick as possible. Uh the Falcons have a major problem and they don’t have a kicker. So apparently we’re just taking to the streets of Atlanta now and just asking anybody if they can help out in uh any ways necessary, if you catch my drift. 40 bucks, I’ll do anything. Could you kick a [ __ ] field goal, please? That’s exactly what I’m looking for. Welcome in Falcons fans to Falcons Today by Chat Sports. My name is Moose. And before, like I said, I break down anything about the offense and the defense, the things that are positive, the things that are negative, can we just call up Lenny, please? Can we just bring this man up and give him a shot? Because Parker Romo was a band-aid on a bullet hole. I think everybody knows that it was the solution for losing Young Way Coup and and getting rid of Young Way Coup. And now we understand that there’s a reason that the Patriots got rid of John Parker Romo. All right, that’s the first thing. Now, let’s talk about the rest of the video. What can the Falcons build around moving forward? I’ve been seeing a lot of different fans get down in the comments section and they’re like, “You’re way too harsh on this team. You’re way too upset about this team. You’re way too angry at this team. What are the positives? Okay. Well, I’ll give you what you’re asking for. I’m going to break down the good, but I’m also going to break down the bad surrounding the Atlanta Falcons. Not just specifically with this last game against the New England Patriots, but just through the first half of the season so far in the 2025 season. Before I get into that, we are going to be live tomorrow for the NFL trade deadline starting at noon central, so 100 p.m. Eastern time. Make sure you’re subscribed to our channel. Hit that notification, select the all option, and make sure you never ever miss a time we go live or any video like this one that we post. Let’s talk about the positives first. I’ve been told that I need to be a more positive guy. Jaylen Walker and the pass rush. Oh yes, thank God the Falcons have a pass rush because now you can see the brilliance of a really good defensive coordinator and really talented young pass rushers. Jaylen Walker specifically, he’s got so much power off of the edge. He’s incredible on inside stunts and also dropping back in coverage. He is almost your doit all edge rusher. He’s a player that, don’t take this the the wrong way when I say this, he almost reminds me of Micah Parsons a little bit. He’s not quite there yet. He might never be Micah Parsons, but what you can see him do when he drops back in pass coverage and setting his power off of the edge is magnificent. You really see why you drafted this kid as high as you did. Five tackles, two for loss, two sacks, and a pass rush grade yesterday of 79.1. When this kid gets into his own, when he really finds his element, when he finds out what type of player he is and what mold he fits into, he is going to be a Pro Bowler and there’s no doubt about it. I really saw yesterday the full oncoming of Jaylen Walker, which is exciting to see if you’re a Falcons fan. Other pass rushers, though, they were also getting in on the feasting. Six sacks against the New England Patriots. Lel London was excellent. Brandon Doris was excellent. And hell, even Arnold Becci, who’s been listed as a trade target and trade candidate for the Atlanta Falcons. Even he was pretty good yesterday. So, there is a multitude of players that know how to get after the quarterback, and that is a testament to what Jeff Albrich has done. This pass rush gets better and better by the week. Albrich is getting the most out of these players, and it’s working. That’s the good news. You clearly don’t have to worry about players that can get after the quarterback. Players to plug up the run defense, different story. Players to solidify the defensive line and create interior pressure in the run game, different story. But that’s the good news so far. The second positive that I saw from yesterday and throughout the entirety of the 2025 season, Drake London is an absolute freak. For every single person, and there’s been very seldom of you that have said Drake London is not a true number one wide receiver, you’re fooling yourself. Yesterday, he proved exactly why he is. Now, is he ever going to be Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson? No, probably not. But then again, every other wide receiver in the NFL isn’t Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson outside of those two specifically. But if you go and you look at the the numbers, seven games, 47 receptions, 587 yards, he’s well on his way to having another 1,000yard receiving season. He’s on pace for 10 touchdowns. I mean, you name it, this guy can do it. I said yesterday, he creates separation. He’s unbelievably strong. He is a He’s a great route runner. He’s just got everything you want in a true number one alpha wide receiver. You just need to get somebody that can compliment him. Another legitimate wide receiver, too. I love you, Darnell. You’re probably the best three in the league. But it’s time to call a spade a spade. The Falcons have Drake London and then it’s everybody else. This is from my girl Tori. Shout out to her. She does a great job of covering this team. Drake London, by the way, the first Falcons player all time. This is kind of funny. to have multiple touchdown catches of two or fewer yards in a single game, which is an incredibly funny stat. But, uh, then you see the photos yesterday of his contested catches. Oh, and by the way, another little fun fact for you. There’s not a single player since Drake London was drafted that has more contested catches in the NFL than he does. Show some love to my man DL, not down low, Drake London. Type five in the comments for me. Let me see that uh support from my guy Drake London because he’s an absolute stud. I hope he’s on this team for quite some time. And then number three, probably something that a lot of you are going to get down in the comments and voice your opinion about and I encourage that. I appreciate that. Michael Pennock Jr. has moments. He’s not a finished product, but he’s not supposed to be a finished product. How many stars does he have? 10 in the NFL. I mean, there are so many good moments from Michael Penn, specifically when he has got full command of the pocket, when he understands where the ball is supposed to go out. The timing, the rhythm, the operational side of playing quarterback is sensational. Does he make too many rookie mistakes? Of course he does. He’s had multiple times this year where he’s had intentional grounding penalties that hurt this team. There’s no doubt about it. He’s got to understand situational football as a quarterback better than he has. I will continue to say there is not a single soul on this football team that wants Kirk Cousins to start another game for the Atlanta Falcons. Michael Pennix Jr. is the future. Does that mean he is the future for the next five years? No. But he’s absolutely earned another season. he’s earned the rest of this season and at least until Thanksgiving of next season because when you put up stats like this against one of the hottest teams in the NFL, you can’t convince me that Penn doesn’t have the moments. He does, but he does to make too many rookie mistakes. He’s got to clean it up. You have to understand that you cannot just dirt the football, even if it is a botched snap and clapgate, which we’ll talk to touch on here in just a little bit. But um you you got to be smarter with the football in your hands. I understand it’s a wonky play. I understand it’s a weird play, but you can’t just dirt the football and take those egregious type penalties because that’s bad. That’s really bad. And coming up, I’m going to tell you more about the bad, specifically when it comes to this coaching staff, because there is a glaring issue that nobody continues to touch on outside of the legitimate dayto-day watchers of this show and Falcons fans who watch this team every single week because it is all coaching. Before I do that, I got to tell you about today’s sponsor and that is our friends over at Prize Picks. Prize Pick. It is good to be right. So, I think it’s important to start uh this where it’s bad by mentioning that the season is not out of reach completely, but it continues to slide down the hill. Now, the Carolina Panthers actually have a good run game. Bryce Young might suck, but they’ve got a lot of things that they do right. They just beat the Green Bay Packers. The Atlanta Falcons comfortably sit in that third area. And thank God that the New Orleans Saints are a dumpster fire because the Falcons right now look like one of the worst teams in the NFL outside of the Saints and uh maybe the Titans. But let’s go to that clapgate that I was talking about because I told you I’d bring that up. And look, Raheem, I don’t understand how you’re getting this information because according to Carlos A. Lopez. This is a uh Patriots beat reporter here. The he captured what Raheem Morris had said that they were clapping and they simulated our snap. They got us to snap the ball early and that’s why we had that problem. So, first of all, the first thing I noticed about this is that one, Raheem Morris is not taking any accountability. The second being I don’t know what the hell he’s talking about. We diagnosed this play from every angle. Patriots host uh Brett Alper. I did as well as our Cleveland Browns host and multiple other people here at the Chat Sports office. We cannot find a single moment where the Patriots players simulate their snap with a clap. And I highlighted this screenshot because as you can see there is the ball that snap there. If you look right at that Patriots logo, you can see that little brown speck. That’s the ball getting forced into Michael Penn Jr.’s chest. The one other thing that I noticed is Pennix is not ready for this snap. So clearly there is a miscommunication from the offensive line to the quarterback. There wasn’t a necessarily ready readiness for the snap. But I don’t see a single player on that Patriots defense that has their hands clapping. Not one. So I don’t know where he’s getting this. Now, Mike Vrabel, coach of the Patriots, was asked about this, and Vrabel said, “Nobody clapped, but I can maybe hear this from the fans. This could be a testament to the fans.” And if you’re blaming the fans, Raheem, for this loss, for that botch snap, you’ve got way bigger issues than even I originally had thought. So, the bad stuff is as follows. Not just in the game against the New England Patriots, but from an overarching umbrella takeaway through the first eight games of the Atlanta Falcons season. Raheem doesn’t take accountability. Zack Zack Robinson’s play calling continues to be predictable and there is no understanding of situational football highlighted by this specific sequence yesterday. There’s two minutes and 3 seconds left on the clock. You choose to punt, you have two timeouts. The punt eats into the two-minute warning. So, if there’s 203 on the clock left and it’s fourth and 20 and you’re choosing to punt the football away, what you’re essentially saying is we don’t trust our offense to get the first down. That’s the first problem. But if you punt the ball away, the two-minute warning no longer exists because they’re going to get the ball back at the two-minute warning. And then you have two timeouts and they have three downs. So even if you get them off the field, even if you force a three and out, all they have to do is run three running plays and bleed the clock. So essentially, you have the choice to either go for it right on fourth and 20 and if you don’t get it, it’s essentially a turnover on down or you can just turn the ball over with a punt no matter what. I I just I I’m a YouTube host and even I am like this is the last shot of the game to get back in it. This is your final attempt to get back in the game and you choose to punt the football away. It is unbelievably insane, porous, whatever adjective you want to throw at it. It is ridiculous coaching from Raheem Morris. And I just want to end today’s episode by reminding you that Raheem Morris when he was hired established and assembled a staff of 26 coaches for his first season in Atlanta and then said, “When we win, we will have the backups and the replacements to supplant the coaches that end up leaving for other jobs because eventually they will.” Well, Raheem, you’re not wrong. Those coaches will eventually be moving on from the Atlanta Falcons, but they’re going to be moving on with you because you stick. And I don’t need to yell anymore. I don’t need to get volatily angry. I don’t need to spew hate and venom. You know where I stand. You know how I feel about Zack Robinson and Raheem Morris. And it’s just time to acknowledge that nothing’s going to change until it actually changes. How are the vibes today, Falcons fans? Probably not good. They’re not good for me either. They’re not. But you know what? I’m going to continue to give you non-stop Falcons coverage every single day, good or bad. And it’s going to be a lot of bad until we decide to do something about it. There is too much talent on this football team to completely rebuild, but you’ve got to pivot off of somebody or somebody’s. That’s all I’m going to say. Remember, we’re live tomorrow. Hit that bell icon right there. Make sure you make make sure you make sure to know exactly every single time we post. Subscribe to the channel, like today’s video. 1. In my humble opinion, Moose, you've been way too generous of the Falcons. Especially when it came to Morris. I still hyped you, but I'm curious who said you were to hard on the Falcons

  2. I think this show is totally disgusting and disrespectful to women in showing this type of picture of a prostitute hustling for money, no wonder the falcons keep losing because of idiots like this! 🤢

  3. And please if I hear this coaching staff say anything about the dam rams and that QB over I’m just start putting on my flacons stuff in the 🔥

  4. Moose, thanks for the positivity but f that!!! Go hard on the team because every other podcast be all happy and jolly when this coaching staff needs to be booed off the field. Coaching is trash and makes idiotic excuses every game. They suck

  5. Bates, please make a play, eventually. I always record the game to watch play by play. You seem to always show up at the end of plays, jumping up and down, if though you almost made a play.

This lack of efforts happens every game and every play.

  6. Y'all are forgetting about the PK currently on the practice squad, Ben Sauls. Homie put up a conversion percentage of 81.3% and earned all-american honors at Pitt

  7. Problems I see: 3rd down offense, redzone offense, no WR depth, kicking, stagnant offensive playcalling, Penix needs some time to develop

  8. The vibes are bad as usual. Morris keeps repeating the same speech and hopes that he can take a football and make it stick to a dart board and say, Hmm that sounds like a good plan this week. It's a joke. There are 9 games left yes and there is time left but for what. The best they have is maybe winning 7 to 8 games this season? Isn't that Arthur Smith territory? Nothing has changed.

  9. Don't let anyone tell you that you are too harsh on this team. I've been losing for 30 years now with this team. They need to hear the truth. Thanks for your candor Moose

  10. I say we give the international dude a shot… can’t get much worse than missing an extra point to tie a crucial game late in the fourth quarter on the road 🤬
