The NFL Wasn’t Ready For THIS Version Of The Denver Broncos | Broncos News

[Music] I want to start today’s show with a little update for you guys here on the AFC West standings. With the Broncos win yesterday and the Kansas City Chiefs loss, the Broncos are now squarely in first place in the AFC West with a record of 7 and2 heading into Raiders week who are at the very bottom of the barrel for Thursday Night Football. And if we also take a look at the AFC playoff picture, Broncos country, by the way, welcome into the Broncos breakdown by Chad Sports. My name is Moose. Currently, right now tied for the best record in the AFC. However, based off of wins and losses and tiebreers, currently the number three seed. Hopefully that changes as we go into week 10. I do want to start also by saying this, the Broncos Super Bowl window is wide open. And on today’s episode, I’m going to break down exactly why the NFL and Broncos fans were not ready for this version of the Denver Broncos. It might not be exactly what we thought it was going to be, but this team nonetheless finds ways to win, and that is the sign of a great football team. We’ve won six in a row. So, don’t be the guy that doesn’t like today’s video. I don’t want to see you jinx it. If you want the streak to continue, hit that thumbs up icon right now and keep the winning streak alive. Let’s talk Boon Knicks first because I feel like there’s a narrative going around that Moose doesn’t like Bo Nicks. And that is the furthest thing from the truth. Bo is awesome in certain specific spots. I love Bo Knicks. I’m a huge Boon Knicks fan. I Bo Leaf, but no, I’m not too hard on Bo Knicks. there is a glaring issue in his game. Other NFL media members around the internet also say the exact same thing. This is just one from James Palmer who said that Bon Knicks has something special. That stretch in the fourth quarter where he just finds ways to win football games. This is a characteristic and a quality of a team or of a player, excuse me, that you can’t teach. There is no one that can teach you how to be clutch. You either have it or you don’t. It’s like being tall. You’re either tall or you’re not. You’re either clutch or you’re not. And Bo has that gene. But for every single person that got down in the comment section yesterday and said, “Moose, you are way too hard on Bon Knicks. You think that Bick stinks.” No, I don’t. But here’s the reality of the situation. Bo has a problem throwing the ball down the field. Can that be changed? Yes, it can. You have to work on your touch. Can that be fixed? Can you develop this as part of your game as your NFL career continues? Of course you can. But this was only a snapshot of yesterday’s game. Bo was two of 10 yesterday with two touchdowns. That’s great. One pick. That’s not great. In 20 plus yard throws. Two of 10. That’s 20%. Now, you don’t have to hit 80% of your 20 plus yard throws, but you better be 50% or right around there, and 20% is not even close to where you need to be. I think it also goes without saying, Bo makes big-time plays when he needs to. Like I said, he’s got the clutch gene. Bo has the ability to make plays with his legs and make clutch throws. Bo is an unbelievable comeback ball thrower. That’s one of his best throws. When you have a comeback route from Courtland Sutton or a comeback route from Troy Franklin, Bo is on the money all the time. But it’s obvious to anybody that watches the Broncos play football and Bo Knicks play football. He’s not a great deep ball thrower yet. Now, is that a wide receiver problem? Maybe a little bit. Is that a Bo Knicks problem? Probably a lot of bit. Maybe you can mirror those two together. Maybe you go out and trade for Rasheed Shahed. maybe you go out and get another tight end. And we’ll talk about that later on today with the most recent developments from Diana Rini and from Shawn Payeyton himself. But the good news is you’re winning despite the problem areas. That’s the good stuff. The NFL, you’re never going to have a perfect game. Or scratch that, you will have perfect games, but they’re very few and far between. You had a really great game against the Dallas Cowboys. But winning in the NFL is hard. So finding ways to get the W, you should never ever apologize for. I also think that every Broncos fan, including myself, is saying the exact same thing. Bo, run more. There were so many opportunities in yesterday’s game where Bon Knicks had the opportunity to climb the pocket and he had nothing but green grass in front of him and he would choose to either dirt the football or try to make a play on the run and throw off his back foot and sidearm something. I’m like, I don’t need to see that. If there’s eight yards in front of you, take it. And that’s something that he’s still feeling out in his game. When is the right time to run? When is the right time to throw? That comes with snaps. that comes with time. I think we all forget Bo Nicks is still a very young player. Maybe not in his actual age, but in his NFL career, he is still a young player. So, Bo, run a little bit more, please. But that’s the offense. Now, we got to focus on the defense because it’s not just the best in the NFL. This defense is all time great. And I’m going to tell you about the statistics, but also the eye test and what I see from this defense, namely with the two players that stood out to me yesterday, but also from what I see from them throughout the first half of the season as a whole. Before I get to that, I got to tell you about my friends over at Bubs Naturals. Look, as somebody who’s getting very close to 30, I can honestly tell you that the collagen levels that I produce right now, not even close to what they were back when I was in my early 20s. If those stiff joints in the morning and the recovery gym is t or recovery from the gym time is taking longer. If your hair is thinning, nails breaking, and your skin is losing that smooth glow, you have to start using Bub’s natural collagen peptides. Aging sucks, but it doesn’t have to. Please support the Broncos breakdown and let them know Moose sent you.” All of that in the comments and description of today’s video. All right, the two defensive studs yesterday as I put my bubs away. Studs, bubs, little bit of a rhyme there. Zack Allen and Talenoa Hofunga. Um, look, Talano Hafunga is clearly proving to be the very best signing on defense that we’ve had all off season. And it it isn’t close. I mean, Dre Greenlaw, I still believe, has a lot of good football left in him, but he’s barely played. You know, he’s got two games and a total of like 48 snaps. Hunga is an absolute beast. and Zack Allen yesterday proving exactly why or proving, excuse me, exactly why you signed him to that massive contract extension. Here’s his stats from yesterday that might not wow you when it comes to like it’s not a Miles Garrett type game where he goes out and has five sacks against the New England Patriots, but he had three quarterback pressures, one sack, one TFL, one PBU at or excuse me, two pass deflections at the line of scrimmage and three quarterback hits. He is making opposing quarterback’s life a living hell. And it’s not just this year. Allen is one of five players in NFL history to record 60 plus quarterback hits in a 25game span. Quarterback hits are probably the lost stat in the NFL because it doesn’t really show up in a box score. But what it does do is prove that he is forcing the quarterback to either get rid of the football or forcing a turnover worthy play. The other five players or excuse me, four players on that list, Nick Bosa, all pro, Aaron Donald, Hall of Famer. TJ Watt, future Hall of Famer, and JJ Watt, Hall of Famer. Short list. That’s how good this guy is. And it might not translate into the finishing of the play, right? The sack is the finishing product of a quarterback hit or a quarterback pressure, but Zack Allen is easily your best defensive lineman, and it isn’t close. And without him on the field, the Broncos don’t have that interior pressure that can both stop it in the run game and make the opposing quarterback’s life a living hell. Let’s flip on over to Talenoa Hava. Awesome season so far. Awesome season. Like this guy is ridiculously talented. He is so aggressive, not only in the back field, but also can climb the box and make tons of plays happen. Now, believe it or not, these aren’t his actual stats. His 2025 stats after this last game are as follows. 61 tackles, two tackles for loss, so he can climb the box. He does have eight pass breakups, and if it weren’t for that drop yesterday that he had, he would have had an interception, but he’s got none on the season. maybe doesn’t have the greatest hands in the world. I’m willing to sacrifice that because his PFF grade has also been one of the very best among starting safeties in the NFL. And Denver is the perfect spot for Talenoa Hafunka. He was asked yesterday about the Broncos defense and what he finds value in. And here’s what he said. I’m proud to have a defense that is willing to go out there and put their helmet in the pile and get dirty. When it’s time to make a play, we do it. Boom. Bingo. Because he knows, Pat Certan knows, Vance Joseph knows, Bonito, Cooper, every player on this defense knows this defense isn’t just great. It can be all time if you stay healthy, you continue to make the right plays, you continue to get sacks, and continue to be aggressive. But it’s not just the sacks. We are limiting opponents to not scoring. Did you know the Broncos defense has not allowed a touchdown in four out of nine games this year? What? That’s crazy stuff. Crazy. Almost half of your games, you’re not allowing the team to find the end zone. And your most recent performance against the Houston Texans is just a brief snapshot of how good this 2025 defense is. four sacks, seven quarterback hits, six passes defended, zero touchdowns allowed, and a third down conversion rate of 17.6. It’s too easy. It’s too easy. Way too easy. And and producer Alper, you don’t have to go to that. I can just make sure that uh I read it off if you if you’re cool with that. from the 33rd team, which is PFF’s kind of Twitter uh profile here. You could bring me up full screen here in just a second. And anyway, uh the defenses in the NFL that are generating the most pressures on dropbacks are the Denver Broncos at number three. The Vikings come in at 45.8%. That’s because Brian Flores blitzes a ton. And the Bills coming in at 44.3, but the Broncos are at 42%. They are nonstop in the backfield. forcing errant throws. The one thing it hasn’t really translated to are the turnovers. And I have a feeling that later on in the season, those are going to come. This is the best defense I have seen from the Denver Broncos since the Super Bowl. It It’s not close. Since the Super Bowl that they won in 2016, this is the best defense I have seen maybe on an NFL field. So, I can’t go the full nine yards and say it’s the best defense I’ve ever seen from the Broncos, but it’s definitely if it’s not one, it’s two, period. It’s just every week it’s fantastic. So, is this the best Broncos defense you’ve ever seen? Give me a yes, give me a no in the comment section down below. That is going to do it for us on today’s episode. I’ll be back later today with more Broncos content coming your way. As always, my friends, mile high salute. Be cool. [Music]

Denver Broncos news after the 18-15 win vs. the Houston Texans continues to swirl in the NFL media. Broncos Breakdown host Trace Moustakas gives his honest and thoughtful analysis for the Broncos win over the Houston Texans and talks about Bo Nix and the Broncos defense for the majority of the episode. Moose claims that although Bo Nix is one of the most clutch quarterbacks in the NFL, he still clearly has an issue with accuracy throwing the ball down field. Moose continues to implore that the Broncos must trade for another pass catcher for Bo Nix as he continues to struggle throwing the ball down field. Moose continues the episode by claiming that not only is this Broncos defense the best in the NFL, but could be considered to be one of the best NFL defenses of all time. Moose names Zach Allen and Talanoa Hufanga as the defensive players of the game.

  1. 1st. The Raiders may as well start pumping their adrenochrome, because the Broncos are going to make Thursday look less like a game, and more like a ritual sacrifice.

  2. This why I don’t watch your channel no more coming back today reminded me lol you don’t sound like a true Broncos fan. Bo Nix is solid bro his deep ball game is improving. It’s the receivers…

  3. amazingly, the Broncos only have 1 strip-sack this year. McMillan on Ward in the opener. Imagine what it will look like if they start getting some of those.

  4. We need to make like 3 trades honestly. Need a true WR1 or 2 because our passing offense is our lowest ranked area on the entire team and the answer to that is trading for a wr. Next we need to trade for an ILB 1 because singleton is dreadful in coverage and second he’s hasn’t been great in run defense. We currently rank about 10 in run defense and we need to get a little better in that area. Maybe trade for Chris Olave and Bobby Okereke. Maybe Demario Davis if they can swing a trade for both Olave and him. Then if you haven’t spent a whole lot go out and trade for Njoku as well and get a true TE. That trade at worst gives you another reciever or blocker in that room and adds more depth in case of an injury to engram
