[Purple Row] The Rockies’ new front office leader must end the Kris Bryant saga

  1. Yes but it’s practically impossible to “end the Bryant saga”. It will end when his contract expires ends.

  2. If youre the rockies just keep collecting the insurance checks to help pay cover that awful contract. The second you release him that coverage money is gone.

  3. I dont think there’s much that can be done. I guess trying to convince him for a deferral contract.

  4. Man, reading the way his body is letting go, this guy has gotta step away from the field and play with his kids. There’s no point in grinding your discs into dust after winning ROY, NL MVP, a world series title, and banking over $150m. He’s 33 years old and this reads like he’s mid-sixties working construction.

  5. Can they like create a subsidiary and transfer the liability and then sell it to some debt collector for a tax write off? Isn’t that how the oligarchs do it?

  6. Bring in a World Series champion and move him from infield at Wrigley to outfield at Coors. Should have been playing first base, and we would be having issues. His bat would still be in play. As you see, Colorado has a way of getting rid of players, and they go on to winning teams. Dexter Fowler, Jon Gray and Jeff Hoffman are just three examples of how incompetent the Colorado Rockies office and managers have been over the years. So let’s send Kris Bryant if to another team where he can win and continue to pay him while he does.
