Who would have thought that letting him sling the rock was a good idea
I’m glad there weren’t any turnovers but it pisses me off when he dirts it. Not to mention him ignoring between the numbers.
PFF need to start grading coaches. Maybe then Zac will work out he doesn’t know what he’s doing when someone talks to him in his language
LOL. Thanks to some SPECTACULAR catches by London, Robinson, and Pitts. They did that. He didn’t.
Idk man, his passes were not very crisp or accurate on numerous occasions. I dont think Penix looks great out there and I dont think Zrob is doing him any favors with the playcalling either.
Drake London, Robinson, and the rest did most of it for him. Either lobs or bad passes tbh
Ppl need to get off penix back until zac is gone
The hate for Penix so weird on this sub
Never forget these are the same fans that hated on Matt Ryan his whole career
The talent is there but he’s so in his head when it comes to pressure. He’s either quick to ground it or he does that real distinct panicked throwing motion where all fundamentals go out the window. That is something that can and should improve over time, but it’s ugly for now.
I dont think the numbers match with my eyes. I see so many mistakes that penix makes consistently, over and over. I liked that he finally felt comfortable getting out of the collapsing pockets though.
When under pressure he still does this stupid ass little hop and throws off his backfoot – its only a matter of time before we get punished for that. He double pumps so often. I thought yesterday he was bailed out by like 6 or 7 amazing highlight catches by Pitts Bijan and Drake. When he needs to hit guys in the chest right between the numbers he just doesnt. That goal line fade he tried into double coverage was so stupid and we got so lucky they fought for the pick. It was a bad throw and decision but I blame ZR for calling a 3rd goal line fade to Drake after 2 already worked.
We drafted Penix under impression he was most pro ready qb in draft, he sat a year and watched a professional qb do the job. I just expected more from him this year – even his good games sometimes im like damn ok…
And yet people still sang Cousins praise yesterday.
Geez people, does anyone remember Desmond Ridder? I will take Penix all day every day. It hasn’t even been that long since that dumpster fire. Give him time and he will be our next franchise quarterback.
I think Penix has a lot of potential, not there yet, which is why it’s so important we get a competent coaching staff to develop his talent. We don’t have that.
I actually thought the Falcons would win this game. But I’ve learned my lesson and will not bet on any Falcons games any more
Inflated stats. Having to make your recievers be forced to try and make one handed or acrobatic catches for everything is less than ideal.
Edit- downvote all you want but keep that same energy when someone gets put on IR or is lost for the season when they get fucked up jumping 2 ft in the air trying to make a catch lmao
Don’t worry Penix will be good… Not with the Falcons of course. He will have a Baker Mayfield, Darnold or even Geno Smith level of success elsewhere just not with this putrid organization.
I don’t think that we can rely on QBR for any QB. How do they even measure it? Nobody knows and it’s like 153.6 for a perfect score.
That said, Penix is definitely not the issue. The owner, front office and coaching is
He should thank Drake… Matter of fact please throw jump balls to him more often. He’s a one on one killer.
He has the potential, I’ve been arguing that with ignorant fans. The problem is, I don’t think this coaching staff will consistently use his talents properly.
That and after Drake London we don’t have the WRs we need. Mooney doesn’t look the same and the rest are practice squad guys.
Don’t get me started on the oline with two backups in now.
If penix got drafted by Denver, people would be talking about him like they do about jayden daniels
I’d love to see the QB stat comparisons of before and after Christian Gonzalez leaving the game. Yesterday to me, moreso showed how Patriots passing defense relies so heavily on him being on the field.
It is entirely possible that Penix has a record of 8-3 on his career if we had a kicker.
He finally looked comfortable in the pocket, I hope it’s because the game is starting to slow for him.
One of the best defenses?
Also massive shout out to Drake for being a dawg with safe hands.
Riding with 9 til the wheels fall off
No hate on Penix. Sometimes reminds me of Kaepernick though.. 😅. He doesn’t have his running ability just some of the throws. Like the build is similar or maybe I’m just tired 🙃
Seeing hate for Penix on the sub (and lowkey in the real world too) has been wild because I thought it was a fairly broad consensus that he’s pretty good, might be the real deal, but is fresh and needs development. Seeing this doesn’t surprise me. MPJ doesn’t enter into the top 5 of our issues right now.
Penix ain’t it ….. 😂
That’s because Penix is a good to great QB
Problem is our OC is a DUMB ASSHOLE
Surely with such great qb play, 6 sacks and +2 TOs we won right
