I wanted the Jays to win, solely so Mattingly could get a ring. The Jays losing and Mattingly elected to the HOF via Contemporary Era Committee would be way better.
I feel like this ballot is going to get just as fucked as the writers ballot when Bonds and Clemens were on it. At this point either put them in or just ban them so everyone can just accept they will get in when they are dead like I fully imagine Rose is about to.
If it’s not Bonds and Clemens, then it shouldn’t be anyone

Mattingly belongs in the hall. No question.
