Here’s My PERFECT Houston Texans 2025 NFL Trade Deadline Plan To Save The Season
Welcome into Texans Today everybody. I’m your host Jeremy Chugs and coming up on today’s show, can the Texans save their season at the NFL trade deadline? Today I’m going to give you three players that Houston could trade for and possibly help them make the playoffs. And I know everybody just rolled their eyes whenever I just murmured the words playoffs, but it’s not as out of the reach as you think. Here’s the current AFC playoff picture. And if I told you the Colts, Pats, Broncos, and Steelers would be the division leaders halfway through the year before this season started, I would be put in an insane asylum because nobody had these four teams leading their divisions. But as I mentioned, the Texans still in the hunt right there. and at least are in the wildcard race. And no matter what happens, if the Texans make a move, if they’re stagnant, you know, we’re bringing you videos. So, if the Texans do make a move, I’ll break it down here on the channel. That’s why you got to hit that subscribe button. Free Texans content all year long. You know where it is. Texans today, we got you covered. All right, let’s go with the uh the name that uh everybody knows, everybody’s talked about, and maybe you are tired of hearing linked to the Houston Texans, but there’s a reason why everybody’s talking about it and why he’s continuously linked to the Houston Texans because I think this match is uh is pretty good. The Texans, they need help in the running game. That was evident in week nine up against the Denver Broncos when Nick Chub and Woody Marks combined for 60 what was it 61 yards like not good enough. Not good enough whatsoever. And insert Rhys Hall who is maybe one of the best running backs in the NFL this season on a putrid New York Jets team. Over the past four seasons he has been fantastic. like seven games played in 2022, had almost 500 yards, almost 1,000 yards in 2023, a little bit over 875 yards in 2024. And this year, he’s on pace to hit that 1,000 mark. And what this doesn’t show you, these are his rushing stats. He is also fantastic catching the ball out of the back field. And you look at what the Texans have had this year, Woody Marks and Nick Chubb, you know, I think Woody Marks is a good running back and Nick Chub, I don’t think he’s washed, but in terms of a premier running back, I don’t know if either of these guys are that. The Texans, they need somebody who’s a differencemaker and who can elevate the offensive line even without great run blocking. And I don’t believe Marks or Chub hit that mark. You know who does though? It’s Bree Hall. But would he be available? Maybe at what price? Albert Brerier had this to say on the latest Jets trade rumors in a article he released this week. Maybe the most interesting one here. He was talking about other trades as well, is Breeze Hall, who’s the centerpiece of the offense. There might have been a point this summer where he have gone for a fourthrounder, but at this point, even on an expiring deal, it’ll take a day to pick to pry him from the Jets. Well, funny enough, I sent this trade out there maybe a month ago. Bree Hall and a 2026 six round pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for our third round pick in this draft. Let me know down in the comments section. You making this deal? Yes or no? Let me know your honest thoughts. If you get hit with the YouTube ad break, all good. Scroll on down and give me your answer. At this point, I’m saying yes. If the Texans are serious about trying to make a playoff push, I’m saying yes. Because unless they’ve just been, you know, lying to us the whole time and Joe Mixon will be ready to go in a week or two, this team needs help at the running back spot. This team needs a playmaker, somebody who is a, you know, game changer at that position. Woody Marks, he shows you shades of that, but he’s not at the level that the Texans need if they’re going to seriously contend in the AFC this year. You know who he is? Bree Hall. He’s somebody who can immediately step in, will elevate this offensive line, will elevate the entire offense because it gives you a legit threat in the back field. Right now, teams, they don’t respect the Texans running game. And because of that, they’re just pinning their ears back. They’re sending pressure at CJ Strad. And the Texans continuously get three to four yards a carry, if that. So, if the Texans, they want to elevate their offense and maybe help out a defense who is the number one scoring defense in the National Football League, yeah, I think Bree Hall would be a good trade for the Texans to make before the NFL trade deadline, which reminder is tomorrow, 400 p.m. Eastern time. Now, coming up, I have two more trades that could possibly save the Texans season this year. Before I get into all that though, quick word from our sponsor. This episode is brought to you by our friends over at Prize Picks. Get started today with America’s number one daily fantasy sports app out there. The hard-hitting football action is even better with prize picks. The weather might be changing, but the feeling of being right. Oh, that never gets old, Cullen. So, keep the season rolling on prize picks by getting $50 instantly in lineups when you play your first $5. It’s super simple to play. Just pick more or less on at least two player stats. If you get your picks right, you could cash in big time. And it’s available in more than 40 states, including California, Texas, and Georgia. And I was a big winner this past weekend. You know, somebody had to be if the Texans weren’t. And the reason I was a big winner is because of prize picks. They have an injury reboot policy, which basically means if a player exits the game in the first half and doesn’t return, prize picks basically takes them off your lineup and doesn’t count it as a loss. So CJ Strad unfortunately exited this game in the first half, but lucky for me, Prize Picks took him off my lineup. Still got that dub. And so can you with our sponsor, Prize Picks. Download the Prize Pix app today. Use code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize Picks. It’s good to be right. Next up, another name that has been off linked to the Houston Texans, Jackson Powers Johnson. And this would be my number one. I know I was just talking about Bree Hall, how he could change the offense, this, that, and the other. If I could choose one player out of anybody in the NFL that’s legitimately going to be traded for the Houston Texans during this trade deadline, it’d be JPJ. The Texans need help on the interior. And that was more evident than ever when the Texans were inside the two-yd line twice up against the Denver Broncos and could not punch it in for a touchdown. That’s unacceptable. And the interior of this offensive line was getting their asses whooped. Insert somebody like Jackson Powers Johnson, a 63, 330 lb mer second round pick just a year ago from Oregon. These were his 2024 PFF grades where he played predominantly center for the Las Vegas Raiders. Overall, 63.9, the run blocking grade of 70.4. He is a better run blocker than he is a pass blocker. Two sacks allowed last year. And you know, there is some to be wanted as a pass blocker for JPJ, but like I said, he would instantly be maybe the best run blocker on this Texans offensive line. And for some reason, JPJ has fallen out of favor with the Las Vegas Raiders. I can’t explain it. I don’t know why the Raiders refuse to play him at center. They also have repeatedly benched him this year. The other question though is the Raiders, they’re weird. They’re they’re coming out not really as sellers even though they have a lot of guys. They have Jacobe Myers who’s requested a trade. They have other guys easily could be on the trade block. I don’t know if they’re going to be sellers. And also, if they are sellers, are they willing to give up on a former second round pick this early? If they are, Nick Cacerio, get the phone going. Do it right now. Call up Pete Carol because we need to add help on the interior of this offensive line. Juice Grugs, Lake Tomlinson, Jake Andrews, Ed Ingram was hurt in that game up against the Denver Broncos. But I we just need help. We We need help on the interior, especially if we want want to run the football. And I think this offense is going to be stagnant until we are able to run the football. And if they do make this move, if they trade for JPJ, they need to put him at the center spot. I’m sorry. I’m I’m tired of the Jake Andrews experience. He sucks at run blocking. He is so bad. You insert JPJ, those lanes start opening up much more easily for a Nick Chub or a Woody Marks. I think that would help this offensive line tremendously. So, if the Texans were able to trade for a Jackson Powers Johnson, I would put him at center because honestly, I’m sick and tired of this buddy buddy experience that the Texans have, I get it that Jake Andrews played college ball with Texans offensive line coach Cole Papovich. They’re they’re best friends, but who who cares? He’s not getting the job done. Let’s put somebody else in at that center spot and let’s try to run the dang football. So, let’s see if maybe Jackson Powers Johnson is available. All right, last one. And yes, all three guys in this video I have talked about on this channel previously. Last up is David in Jooku, the tight end for the Cleveland Browns. And you know, one thing is for sure, I think CJ Strad is playing his best ball when he’s able to rely on receiving threats at the tight end spot. Daltton Schultz, I don’t know if you would call him like a legit receiving threat, but when CJ’s in the game, they have a connection. He likes finding either like big guys in the slot. All uh Nico Collins when he plays there or Dalton Schultz. The only problem is though. Oh well, we can we can get to this. Schultz is having a great year. And if you add somebody like a David and Jooku to this offense along with a Dalton Schultz, I think this offense goes to a whole another level. And with two tight end sets, you’re playing Harrison Bryant right now who’s okay. He’s meh. And Jooku steps it up. You have two legit receiving threats at the tight end spot and Nick Kaye can do a lot more with that. The only problem is this though, per Adam Shfter, the Browns do not sound inclined to trade David and Joker. Um, for some reason, the Browns look to be maybe buyers at the deadline. I don’t know. I don’t know. Uh, who knows what’s going on in Cleveland. But what I do know is in Kayle’s offense, he wants to use multiple tight ends. So if for some reason the Browns do come to their senses and want to be sellers at the deadline, send D and Jooku to us. Please send over David and Jooku. That would help this offense tremendously. Over the last four years, you know, not a top tight end, but every year has put up good numbers receiving from the tight end spot. So, you add that to the Texans offense. Yeah, I think that could help this team tremendously moving forward and possibly for a push for a playoff spot. That’s all I have for you on today’s show, folks. If you want to hit me up on Twitter, my DMs are always open. You can hit me up, Jeremy Chugs. And made it to the end of the video. Obviously, we’re doing something right here. Houston Texans trade targets before the trade deadline:
Breece Hall – Jets running back
Jackson Powers-Johnson – Raiders offensive lineman
David Njoku – Browns tight end
Even though Texans offensive coordinator Nick Caley would love to add another tight end to this Texans offense it doesn’t seem likely. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter: “The Browns do not sound inclined to trade David Njoku… looking to add young talent”
Albert Breer On Jets Trade Rumors
“Maybe the most interesting one here, though, is Breece Hall, who’s the centerpiece of the offense. There might’ve been a point this summer where he’d have gone for a fourth-rounder, but, at this point, even on an expiring deal, it’ll take a Day 2 pick to pry him from the Jets.”
Jackson Powers-Johnson 2024 PFF Grades
Overall: 63.9
Run block: 70.4

They're not going to do any trades and IF they do it will be for a position not needed. Main concern is the offense. But they will trade for defense player and the offense will still suffer or trade for offense but a subpar player
Dammit Chuggs!!! 😢 I was hoping for an OC trade. Love ya man!!
Not trying to be pessimistic here but I think it would be pointless to make any trades at this point. We still have Caserio at GM and Caley at OC. Caserio has been running thru cap with no vision in sight. Caley isn't exactly a bundle of confidence. I'm so tired of tanking and waiting until next season but feeling kinda hopeless right now.
I question how much of the run game challenges are due to the o-line vs being an indicator of solely the RB position. If it’s a trench battle…is any defensive front really worried if they can move the Texans line?
Colts will crumble under heavier defenses and the Chiefs will miss the playoffs this year
No! We need some interior ol
Houston doesn’t need a running back. They need blockers and stronger guards
Save the season? Ok 😂
We need a left guard
Who's gonna block for him????
I swear if Nick doesn’t make a single move
His head will be called for by absolutely everyone
I think you have to trade Danielle Hunter and make sure you can resign Anderson and Stroud. Trade for all three you just said and draft o lineman next year. This year is likely done with the tough remaining schedule.
We need O line but you know damn well the Texans would rather trot out dare Ogubawale over breece hall that’s how Nick Caserio does that’s why we’re ass
We not going to make the playoffs
No! Not even the whole season. Then he could walk or we have to pay him. The backs we have are serviceable, but our O line sucks
It's unlikely that we make the playoffs this year. The only kind of trade that would make sense imo is a on-line trade. A better guard or center to protect CJ. The most important thing now is not destroying cjs confidence at least from what's left.
Why are you talking up this bench warmer. There's a reason he's not starting in Las Vegas
It is just one Barry Sanders nuff said nuff luv ❤🎉
In this order I would say JPJ, Hall, then Njoku. C.J. has that connection with Shultz.
My trades
1.D.Hunter
2. Captain Kirk
3.D.P
4.J.Taylor
5.ogubalawa
6.C.Harris
7.Barios
8.F. fodekosi 😅
And more to come im sure.😂
I really don't think it would be a big difference. This year, but in the long run, hall makes sense. If we can get him on the cheap
You’re part of the problem, they need to trade for lineman and lineman only
No need to burn draft picks. Grab Mike McDaniels next year and let him cook. This season is lost.
No they're taking too long because teams have already made pickups over 2 weeks ago it's the same sad story every year we wait until the last moment and then we pick up some scrum that really doesn't fit our criteria
Unless there's a probowl guard or center any trade is a waste of draft capital
The running game starts with the offensive line…address that not running back .
Texas don’t need no running back to Texas need a office coordinator quit hiding behind sand a running back. It’s not a running back dude office coordinator and another that’s it but y’all Trippin y’all Trippin
They need a offense coordinator
Yes get Breece Hall now ! Because isn’t dead line to trade November 4th
We aren’t trading for anyone, we never make any big moves. I’d be surprised if we try signing anyone at all and if we do it’ll end up being some random guy from your local high school lol
Unfortunately, there is no saving this season. The rest of the schedule is not very favorable and I don't see the Colts stumbling.
We should trade but for draft capital. Let players that are on their final year go.
All we need are lineman. We can’t run because of our offensive line.
We either need to trade for draft capital or not trade at all. Breece Hall will it help this offense. Just watch this past weeks game. The problem is online and OC
You know what would had saved it? Making pre season moves for o line. You know what else would had saved it? Not running the same run play 3 times in a row at the goal line yesterday. Pathetic
Genuinely curious, who is available for the Texans o-line besides Jackson Powers-Johnson? Free agent and potential trade target? I’ve seen so many comments across all of my social media just blasting the needs for more depth in the o-line but nobody has thrown a name/s. I love my Texans but I’m not about to play fantasy GM look lololol all of my stress is focused on my fantasy football team 🤣
My wish list would be new management. , but favoritism is the name of the game. Unfortunately.
