Overland Park is a brain dead take. The potential neighbors and mayor don’t want it.
I gotta be honest, I’m kind of Team NKC. I could see the Royals having a huge positive impact in that area.

I was able to vote for OP over 100 times today. So stoked for a new stadium that isn’t in Missouri and isn’t downtown. Hacking another 100+ votes tomorrow.

OP is doa. Terrible. There’s zero chance any friends or family are able to drive from Blue Springs or Liberty to get to OP to see a weekday game. Might as well stay at the K
NKC might be okay if they can get the streetcar but still not better than downtown. I see very little reason to stay in NKC for hotel or get an apartment there. Same with shops, bars, and restaurants. They will be full on game days but empty when there’s nothing going on. Downtown will capture more of that 365 day activation that NKC wouldn’t have.
