1,100 points in 726 games.
Only Gretzky, Lemieux and Bossy did it faster.
Connor McDavid joins rare air.

  1. Always talk about Gretz, Lemieux, Orr, etc. but Bossy was absolutely unreal. Shame his career was cut short.

  2. 1,100 points in 464 games for Gretzky is mind-boggling. Also Super Mario! If only he stayed healthy

  3. He could have beaten Bossy too. Maybe for the next milestone he’ll pull ahead a bit and come third, but obviously he won’t beat Gretz or Lemieux

  4. boss peering out under that JOFA lid with trotts centering him and Gillies ready to cave your skull in if you looked at his triggerman or sniper mustve been hell

  5. Did you know the fastest GP to 1,000 points was Gretzky, as mentioned here. But the 2nd fastest player to 1,000 points was also Gretzky, for his next 1,000 points.

    Gretzky’s first 1,000 points: 424 games played

Gretzky’s second 1,000 points: his next 433 games.

  6. Genuinely too talented to lose out on the cup twice…

3rd times a charm before Montreal comes swinging?

  7. Boss, Trots and Jethro were a perfect line the way they complimented each other. The best sniper around, the brute power of Gillies and Trots. The best two way player Scotty Bowman ever saw. Al Arbour agreed of course.

  8. I think Gretzky might have gotten to 1100 assists in less games than Bossy and McDavid took to get to 1100 pts.

  9. It feels not too long ago he was a rookie. Can’t believe he’s already hit 1,100 points.

  10. Insane in the modern era. I am neither an Oilers fan nor an Oilers hater, but I will become the latter if McDavid ends up wasting his prime years trying to get a cup with an organization that seems incapable of helping him get there.

  11. Is the game that much different now or is Gretzky just that good to do this feat in almost half the games as Connor? I watched way back when but I was just a little kid.
