Miguel Rojas dedicates speech to his teammates: ‘It’s not about me’

Miguel Rojas gave a memorable speech during the Dodgers’ fan celebration on Monday.

While he was introduced as a World Series legend in Game 7 and a “name that will live forever,” Rojas chose to make his speech about his fellow teammates.

“You pack this place every single day. We play in front of 50,000 people every single night, and you deserve this day. We’re back-to-back champions!” Rojas said, addressing the fans.

“It’s not about me. It’s about all of these guys behind me. We couldn’t be here if Freddie don’t hit that homer in Game number 3. We couldn’t be here… if Yamamoto didn’t pitch Game 2 and threw a complete game, we can’t be here,” Rojas said. “We not be here if Pages don’t catch that ball in center field in extra innings. It’s not about me, it’s about everybody in this organization doing what they need to do.”
