My key takeaways to fix the issue are
-
Quicker decision on both cutter and Wemby
-
Stop spamming passing the ball to him at the elbow. Do more variety
-
Pass much higher. Many of the passes to him near the rim could have been a lob if they were higher
Excellent breakdown of how the Suns defended Wemby

Hack him, hold him, pin his arm down, push him. So that’s how to stop him.
wemby definitely watched the film already, won’t be surprised if he starts implementing these solutions fairly quickly
this is already frustrating watch how okc grab and hold him whole game using caruso wallace and dort
That “offensive” fouls on Booker was pure comedy.
I’m glad this happened 6 games into the season. Now we have 76 more games for Wemby to hone his decision making and for the team to come up with all kinds of counters.
I was at the game. From the start Wemby didn’t seem to have much energy. I think this game is a huge outlier.
I remember CMB and Bam being just as physical with Wemby too, and they’re much better defenders, yet Victor was still able to do damage.
The Suns didn’t mastermind some brilliant scheme, it was Victor being very passive and pass-first in the beginning.
Yeah this how u know wemby a problem lmaoooo GoSpursGo!!
I think Wemby should start learning some cheeky ways to use his elbows the way Giannis does
I mean, teams learnt how to slow Shaq down, so Wemby was not goping to be different. Now, he will adapt.
This is the perfect moment for it to happen.
Now Mitch can find solution to go against it.
Fox will feast on those double and triple team on Wemby.
video won’t load for me but imo wemby is not that dominant and not that forceful to be defended like shaq. what makes it worse is he is the only one feeling it. if you look around the league, no franchise is treated like that during the regular season. also, if your franchise is treated like that, the opponent’s franchise should have it as well especially when you are loosing because of it.
as per wemby, don’t flop and choose what you want to sell, have a go to play and move, chill and make the opponent guess what you are going to do when you receive the ball, figure out double teams, pass more, and learn to help other players take over games. j
