This has been one of the most disappointing seasons in NBA history. Willie Green stinks…Benson and Dumars won’t change anything. And Derik Queen ain’t even playing.

    I keep checking in, though, hoping to see if there is news of a firing.

    I’ll probably do that the next few weeks before it becomes as hopeless as the team itself.

  3. If you are disappointed by the results you should have listened to the ones of us who thought it was very clear this roster sucked major ass and then youd be less disappointed

    The only way this is one of the most disappointing seasons in history is if you were wildly overestimating then.

  5. Canceling my NBA LP. Not watching this garbage Pelicans product. Watching the pelicans play has lessened my love of the NBA these past two seasons. I’ve been watching the Pels since they were the Hornets and in Charlotte. Even 20 years ago prior to the CP3 era, the team wasn’t good but at least they showed heart. This team has no heart, no identity, no leadership. It’s shit basketball.

  7. Trying not to drown in the amount of posts talking about how miserable everyone is. Misery loves company I guess.

    Team is mismanaged, owner doesn’t care, we are a national joke, but. . .

    I love basketball, born and raised in New Orleans. Im going to watch for the rookies and to see where we have any growth.

    I will continue to crack terrible jokes and try and have actual basketball discourse. Going to love to see how the franchise shifts and tries to alter course from this dumpster fire. Go Pels. Nola vs Everybody.

  8. Not firing Willie green before the home game tomorrow night is not only unfair to the team the fans the city but also unfair to Willie himself. Sending him out there in front of that hostile crowd tomorrow would be a disaster of a move by a professional organization.

  9. I try to catch the Nuggets, OKC, and Warriors games because I like the way their team systems are run.It is just fun basketball to.watch, even if I don’t root for the teams.

    It’s insane because Willie Green learned literally nothing at his Warriors stop. This team has the worst ball movement, player movement, spacing, defensive principles, player development, etc .

  12. Need to fire WG with the hope players show a little pride in their play. Then we can get to the next problem which is the FO not knowing how to build a team properly

  13. Honestly not good… And I bought tickets against the Hawks for Atlanta Hate Week to see that game and the Saints play the Dirty Birds. Looking good for the L column for both.

    But I’ll still go.

  15. You have a disconnected team.

    The FO decided to compete. But if that was the move, you needed to move off of Willie. But your owner didn’t want to. So you didn’t. So you should have kept the pick. But you didn’t.

    It makes no sense.

    This isn’t a franchise serious about winning. They just want the rev share check.

    Team has been here for over 20 years. They put my face on a ticket as a 12 year old all those years ago. And they flushed every chance down the drain to compete.

    CP3. AD. Zion.

    All eras flushed down the drain by ownership who doesn’t care. They aren’t incompetent. They are actively working to produce this product. It’s like getting a F in high school, it’s hard to do so. You have to use effort to make that happen.

    The time to have moved on was after the OKC series two years ago. 😔

  19. Anybody who expected this roster to win was delusional. I didn’t expect no wins but no rebounding, limited rim protection no point if attack defense. Zion being focal point has failed

  20. I might be the only one here that thinks we can turn this thing around without getting rid of Willie.

    The rotations are for sure questionable, but, if we can have better transition defense, not turn over the ball so easily, run the plays at full speed, and stay healthy, we may be able to do decent this season.

    Some of the games we lost because of big runs where we lacked any defensive effort on half court or transition.

    Other games we lost just do to chance (OT game, LAC game).

    We have to be real, some of this isn’t Willie fault. Sure, he can dig into guys more about transition defense. Like how many times have we seen Poole arguing with the ref about a foul while the other team is on a fast break? How many times have we seen Zion halfway jogging in transition defense. How many bad passes have we seen no matter if it’s a handoff or across the court.

    Sure no team will be perfect, but, do we think a couch change is really going to change the effort that players give. If it does I don’t want players on the team that plays half-ass just because the coach allows them to. When we had Tony Allen he didn’t jog back on defense.

    We’ve called for the firing of every coach we’ve had for different reasons. A lot of it is on the players in my opinion (not including injuries….please get rid of oschner).

    Lastly one of the main things I see wrong with this team is we don’t have a leader as a point guard. Last true leader at point guard we had was Rondo. He got in everyone’s ass who wasn’t pulling their weight. Who is that person on this team. It’s not Zion, Trey, herb, or Poole. Nobody has enough DAWG in them to make sure we take care of the ball, get back on defense, etc.

  23. Fans shouldn’t show up tomorrow if Green is HC. Multiple reports have had that the FO wanted their own coach and Benson overruled. She obviously never spends and is cheap. The only answer is to boycott. It honestly is getting to that level now, which is so sad, but is likely necessary.

  27. should’ve focused on ingram, trey murphy played better with him over zion. plus ingram was a defensive schemer always directing our defense and now look at whats going on with him gone.

  29. By April it felt like Trump was unleashing hell on the U.S.

    6 games into the season and it feels like Dumars and Willie are making the pelicans great again

    Willie still hasn’t been fired yet, which pisses me off
