Myles Turner on Pacers fans booing him loudly in his return to Indiana: “It was disheartening…You give 10 years of your life, your blood your sweat your tears, you take pay cuts, you survive trade rumors, you try to do everything the right way…”

  1. He didn’t deserve that.

He gave 10 years to the franchise. He played very well.

He was underpaid. He got himself paid.

  2. he aint wrong. any fan using loyalty against players is an idiot. this is a business

  3. Pacers fans are big mad that he didn’t take less money to stay on a worse team that constantly tried to trade him.

  4. Can I ask who was the last player to play for a team for 10 years and get booed on his return?

  5. I will never understand why press is allowed in the locker room immediately after a game.

  6. Don’t take it personally Myles you know the boos are louder than the cheers because of indianas poor start

  7. Am I the only one who feels like all parties are completely justified in this situation? Myles was right to take his bag, pacers fans are right to be upset about that and he’s right to not like the way they’ve been taking it out on him?

  8. Ngl I kind of agreed. As far as I can tell, he left without drama. Kinda shocked he got booed

  9. Not his fault Pacers ownership would rather break up a core that was one game away from a ring than pay luxury tax.

  10. Nah he doesn’t get to do the sob story, the moment he left he was passive-aggressive asf

  11. If they’re booing a man whose biggest off-court problem was spending too much time building Lego sets, they don’t deserve success.

  12. He went to their biggest rivals and expected to get cheered when he returned. And people are upset at pacers fans for booing him. I don’t get it lol

  13. I mean andrew luck got booed after he retired because of injuries so ig I’m not that shocked

  14. im still waiting for the upset Pacers fans to give some evidence that Turner hates Indiana and Haliburton. It’s all clickbait clips taken in bad faith, zero clips of him talking about the good because it doesn’t get views. When you watch a clip and a narrative starts rolling and all of the fans start spreading the clips the reality blurs

dumbass soundbites caused all of this when he was upset at the owners not the team. It’s nothing like PG that actually hated his old team and made comments on his podcast

  15. Honestly I think most people would have cheered for him had it not been for all his comments from the day he signed with MIL.

The clip from the Thanalysis pod was taken out of context, but everything else I feel like he could have answered a different way or even said that he’s done talking about it.

He kept talking trying to make it sound better and it just kept sounding worse.

  16. Pacer fans are mad he didn’t play well against the #1 defense in basketball. He still played great defense in the series. They just follow whatever haliburton tells them to do. Can’t think for themselves. The hate the pacers have for the bucks is hilarious.

  17. Been a Pacer fan since 97’ and all I have to say is THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING MYLES.

  18. I am a Heat fan but have become fond of the Pacers from their incredible run. Why would the fanbase treat him that way? Wasn’t he beloved?

10 years of dedication to the organization. Thats messed up.

  19. It’s bad to boo him considering his entire career, but it’s understandable with how it ended and how recently it was. The man was a no show in the finals, was bricking threes left and right while getting out rebounded by TJ. Then he goes to a direct rival and makes some shitty comments on the way out.

  20. He spent ten years there, was constantly in trade rumors, and left because he got lowballed by them in free agency.

Players should never care about loyalty to fans

  21. I’m not mad at Myles for leaving. I’m mad at our front office for pussyfooting around on what should’ve been a straightforward re-signing instead of just paying the man

  22. Bucks fans wanna talk about loyalty after their FO discarded Lillard after he sacrificed his Achilles to try help them win. Oh, the irony.

  23. I don’t mean to hate but, he left after hali torn his achillis to their division rivals …. What kind of cheers was he expecting?

  24. they didnt want to pay homie either after 10 years so he went somewhere that would and theyre mad at him is crazy work.

  25. Turner made over $150 million playing for the Pacers. It’s always super cringy when people come out and act like these athletes are martyrs for making a shitload of money staying in one place.

Dude had every right to leave and go to a team that will pay him more and has a better chance of winning, but I’m not going to shame a bunch of fans for booing him.

  26. He went to the rivals and made some…interesting comments towards the team

You would think that would constitute a little bit of booing, reap what you sow and all that
