Here’s My PERFECT Atlanta Falcons 2025 NFL Trade Deadline Plan

It’s the infamous trade deadline day. Dirty Birds fans, welcome into Falcons today by Chad Sports. My name is Moose and obviously we’re going to be live here in just a couple of hours. So, make sure you hit subscribe, click that little bell notification, and never miss when we go live or any video that we post like today’s. And on today’s episode, we’re going to get some last minute trade rumors and intel from our girl Diana Rini and some other talking heads throughout the NFL. So, like I said, Diana Rini just dropped some fresh trade intel. Spoiler alert, the Atlanta Falcons, because of how bad they’ve been, have not really been rumored as buyers. However, Diana Rsini does preface all of her new information with this one specific paragraph. She says the trade deadline is just days away. So, this was written on Friday, by the way, and it means that it’s time to reset what we know and what I’ve been hearing heading into Tuesday. And remember, when a coach or GM insists publicly that a player is not on the block, that does not mean that they’re not taking calls. So, because the Falcons were not mentioned in this specific article, I thought I would take the time to highlight the perfect trade plan for the Dirty Birds if they are going to make a move or two. It’s a three-step plan that I believe helps get this team on the right track, considering there have been a lot of issues with this team. Now, do me a big favor before we start. If you want the Falcons to make a move, if you want him to sell, if you want him to buy, if you just want Terry Fontno to get on the phone and make some calls and make something happen, hit that thumbs up icon. The very first thing that we have to talk about when we’re talking about a Falcons trade plan is to talk about what the Falcons should be doing first and that is trading Arnold Evati for a third round pick. Why trade away a player? Well, right now the Falcons aren’t really in a position to buy. They’re three and five, third place in the NFC South. They only have five draft picks. We’ll touch on that here in just a little bit. But Ebocati is one of those players that could still gain some tremendous value in the upcoming hours. There are plenty of teams like the Chicago Bears who need edge rusher help. Edge rusher is always going to be a a premium position in the NFL. And right now the Falcons have such a good package of pass rushers. Jaylen Walker, James Pierce Jr., Brandon Doris, Lel London got in on it. Ruka Roorero seems to be always in on a sack. There are plenty of players the Falcons have currently that continue to get after the quarterback. And that’s not even to mention Kaden Ellis or Dine Diablo. When Dine Diablo is healthy, your core pass rush is set. You’ve got all of the pieces. You can sell Ebati and not lose an ounce of sleep. So sell him. Grab an extra pick to make up for that lack of firstrounder that you got from the James Pierce Jr. trade cuz that’s right now is going to the Rams. And as of right now, where that currently stands, that’s a 12th overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft. Just a reminder, this is the only picks that you’ve currently got heading in to the 2026 draft. You got 1 second, 1/3, 1/4, 1 six, and 17th. Thanks Kirk Cousins, by the way, for uh having a loud mouth and making sure that we lost our fifth round pick because of that whole tampering scandal. We’re not going to get into that. That’s just the facts of where we’re at right now. So, you could end up getting another third to kind of replace a first. Nothing really replaces a first, but that’s a good start and a step in the right direction. What’s the second plan for this? Well, involves getting a true nose tackle. Pick swap with the Browns on a day three pick for Shelby Harris. Most likely a sixth or a seventh. I’m going to break down exactly what my trade idea for that is coming up here in just one moment. Now, before I do that, I have to tell you about today’s sponsor, and that is our friends over at Factor. Look, the weather might be changing in the fall is definitely the time to like get back to your original schedule because, you know, the kids are back at school and everything. All of that in the comments and description of today’s video. So here’s my trade idea. The Browns get a 2026th from the Falcons and the Falcons get Shelby Harris and a 2026 seventh round pick. So essentially, you’re pick swapping and you get a player. I can do without the sixth round pick if we get an extra seventh, right? So if you trade Ebocati and then you get another seventh, you get 2/3 and 27ths plus Shelby Harris, who by the way is 34 years old. He’s a rental. It’s not a player that you’re going to build around. It is just a player for the next year or two to help solidify that front line. And if it ends up not working out, you only got rid of a sixth round pick. But the Falcons need a plug-and-play nose tackle. They’ve got to stop the bleeding against the run. The run defense continues to be a problem. The New England Patriots have been statistically the worst team in the NFL at running the football and they ran for over a 100red yards. Like, it’s bad. We know it’s bad. The stats going into the Patriots game proved it was bad. You were second in yards per game, first in passing yards per game, 23rd in rushing yards allowed per game. That is egregiously bad. And it’s not because Jeff Albrich isn’t a good defensive coordinator. The problem is is that you don’t have the personnel. You don’t have the plug. You don’t have the tree stump of a human being to just take up space in the middle of that defensive line. So you got to go out pick swap with the Browns for Shelby Harris. That’s step number two. Step number three, trade Kirk Cousins. Open up the cap space. I said this a couple of videos ago. I was like, I’m tired of hearing about Kirk Cousins. I’m tired of hearing about how good of a backup he is in case Michael Penn Jr. goes down. We saw what he did against the Miami Dolphins. Kirk is washed. He’s washed. And here’s the problem. Kirk might still have the arm. Kirk might still have the accuracy. He might still have the brain power. But if he doesn’t have the mobility, if he’s an aging quarterback, what makes him different than every other backup in the league? I have the answer to that. The answer is he costs $27.5 million. So you eat up the space for the rest of the year. You could get a conditional sixth or a conditional seventh round pick because no matter what happens, you’re cutting him next year. So you’re either getting nothing for him or you’re getting a conditional pick for him. you make the decision because it’s going to happen. It’s gonna happen. There is a team, by the way, the Vikings are out. JJ McCarthy is going to be their starter for the remainder of the year. They just beat the Detroit Lions. A trade to the Minnesota Vikings is out of the question, but there is a team that could use their uh Kirk services. It’s a team that he also has some familiarity with, the Washington Commanders. At the time, he was with the Washington Redskins. Jaden Daniels now looks like he’s going to be out for an extended period of time. might not be the entire season, but at least the next five to six weeks. If the Commanders still believe that they have a shot to win that division or at least make a wildcard appearance, you could go out and trade for Kirk Cousins. He would start and end his career in the exact same place that it began. He was in Washington to begin with. That’s where he got drafted, if you remember, behind RG3. He can end it there, too. Make the call. Make the call. Please, because if Jaden Daniels, if if we know anything about who they’ve got rolling out right now, it’s Marcus Mariotta. Falcons fans know too much about that. They’re not going to win games with Marcus Mariotti. They might might win one, maybe two. Kirk Cousins maybe could go out and get you competitive. I’m not even saying that it’s going to work, but it could be competitive considering they’ve got Zack Z, they’ve got Debo Samuel, they’ve got Scary Terry, they’ve got some offensive pieces. You could plug and play Kirk and just hope that he gets you some wins. Is it likely? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, I just know I want him off my books. Will the Falcons make a move today? Give me a yes, give me no in the comment section down below. I’m inclined to believe no. Um, but if they do, I could see them selling rather than buying. So, if they do end up making a move, Terry Fontnau is going to be selling off to get draft picks rather than trading for a player given the current status of the Falcons at three and five. That’s going to do it for us today, Falcons fans. A reminder that we will be live in just a few short hours. So, hit that subscribe button, turn on that notification bell, and as always, rise up and be cool.

Atlanta Falcons trade news: The Falcons are currently in a terrible spot heading into the 2025 NFL trade deadline. 2. The problem is atlanta is on its way to germany, it would make it very hard at this point to trade away players for draft capital when they might not be in the country.

  3. Terry's on the phone right now doing what he's been doing since he showed up. Putting in work for the Aint's by doing exactly what daddy McKay says.

  4. We don't have a good run stopper…. good thing we've got Johnathan Taylor and the Colts next week… fml. calling it now. 160 yards and 2 TDs.

  5. $100mill+ for a 6th or 7th round pick 2 years later. No one is allowed to say Terry… er' Rich is anything but terrible at his job.

  6. We have a long history of not making moves during the trade deadline. I gave up when Rah defended Zac Robinson. We’re clearly delusional. I don’t just want a playoff appearance, I want a run in the playoffs to set us up for the next year
