Jaguars Cam Little Nails 68 Yard Field Goal, Sets New NFL Record | Pat McAfee Show

The Jags and the Raiders go to overtime. Trevor Lawrence scores a touchdown on their first drive. So that’s a big deal. Congratulations to the Jacksonville Jaguars. They kick an extra point. They scored on their first drive. They’re up seven. Now the Raiders get a chance to answer. They go down. Are they going to be able to score? 19 seconds left in overtime. They score a touchdown. Down one. Could opt to kick the extra point. They say for the good of football, we’re going for two. We love that move. Ultimately it gives them a loss though instead of having a one at the end. Raiders decide to go for two. Pete Carol says that was he was hoping for the good of ball. They went for two. And to that we say thank you Raiders. Thank you no more times. And congrats to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Not only a huge win but also Cam Little this kicker out of Arkansas drafted last year in the sixth round has hit a 68yd field goal in a regulation football game. He hit from 70 in preeason. And this dude little hits big ass balls. I mean, he is so incredibly impressive. Uh, obviously had to drive it a little bit, they say, for the side angle. Didn’t get blocked. Wasn’t even close to getting blocked. A lot of guys had their arms up obviously from 68. That thing would have been good from 71, 72 yards. Unbelievable kick. And obviously, we talk about Aubrey a lot. Cam Little hits massive balls. I mean, this dude just murders balls. In the new Kball institution that we’re in right now, guys are hitting these long balls at a more accurate clip than they ever have. Guys are also attempting it more than they ever have before. And for those that are sleeping under a rock and maybe don’t know this, the kickers are allowed to bring the balls to the game now. Used to come out of a box, have a 30 minute like session on when you’re allowed to break it down. So, it was a little beat up, but it wasn’t too beat up. Now, just like quarterbacks, kickers are allowed to bring their own balls. Have to pass an inspection for how hard it is. Obviously, the amount of uh pressure in there and then what it looks like and then guys now have gone seven for 11 from 60 plus and a 68 yard field goal has been hit and everybody’s just assuming that a 70 yarder is on the way. So, right now Cam Little has the record, but I think for the first time in the history of ball, we it’s not safe. Oh, yeah. I I do not think it’s safe, especially if you get a situation at the end of half and maybe an Aubrey 70 yarder. You know, reset the record to win by one. Oh, that’d be sick if we get a new record here just one day later. Cam Little out of Arkansas for the Jacksonville Jaguars in Las Vegas. Some would say perfect place to hit it because of the altitude and the air and everything. All Cam Little says is, “Who cares?” How much time’s left? One second. Let me go ahead and bomb one from the other side of the field real quick. Hey, which upright are you kicking at? That one? No. that one, the one that’s further away. NFL record for Cam Little who hit a 70 yard obviously this preeason and uh the game has changed with these dudes. These dudes bomb balls. Cam Little, okay, obviously last name being Little, but I don’t think he’s like necessarily biggest or tallest kicker that’s out there either. I am very fascinated by how strong this guy’s leg is. His leg speed has to be so insane that he’s able to make up for the pure force of the bigger lat. You know, you think about uh designated hitters or any good hitters. That’s like kind of generates stuff. Usually bigger bodies, stronger bodies. Think about golf who’s driving the out of the ball, you know, a little bit bigger bodies. Bryson Dshambo was eating uh eight protein shakes a day so he could get bigger and stronger so that he could hit the ball further. Like everything that’s explosive normally with a lot of mass and explosion. Cam Little, not like a massive dude, bombs the ball. and the fact that he can bring in his own game ball uh from practice that’s beat up a little bit. Special talent and I’m so pumped for Liam Co. Liam Cohen said it was like we won a Super Bowl in that moment. Like everybody was very happy. Everybody knew what was at stake. Everybody knew what happened. And then oh yeah, they’d also go on to win this game in overtime because the Raiders would say, you know what, for the good of football, we won’t kick the extra point and tie this with 18 seconds in overtime. So it was a spectacular game. Cam Little’s kick was awesome. And uh yeah, maybe Aubrey answers tonight with a 69 yard and they just got to start crawling up the board. He’s listed at 611 172. So he’s a wiry fella. Very just like uh Harrison Bucker. We will be chitchatting with uh Cam Little tomorrow morning. Okay. Uh we will air uh tomorrow on the show. Obviously that man is uh very good at his job. So is Boss right down the middle every time. He’s so good. Set your watch to it. He wanted an extra 25,000 bucks before the season. You guys said, “Nope, can’t do.” That’s That’s not true. I mean, the notion is right. I did. I believe he did. Was looking for a bit of a bump, but he’ll get it.

  4. Who cares about Vegas air…. bro hit a 70 yarder OUTDOORS in our stadium at SEA LEVEL. He doesn't need altitude. Probably could nail a 75-78 yarder in Denver. That was not his greatest kick. His 70 yarder was actually a nicer kick with a higher trajectory.

  9. @The Pat McAfee Show any kicker can make that 68 yard field goal when the referees and whoever running the play clock. Watch the full play from when the jags player was down then the referees had game clock 04 second. Play clock started after the play 40 for the kicking team to get set. it took more than 40 for kicking team and kicker to get off kick. Watching the play the play clock came down to 5 seconds or less then someone controlling the play clock reset it play clock with 20 more seconds. it took the offense center and extra 5 seconds to snap the ball for the kick. So that was an illegal kick after the play clock. The referees needed to call a penalty stopping the kick and they would of had made a 75 yard kick with 4 seconds left. Them play clock guy and referees cheated the Raiders again out of 3 points. The kick was an illegal kick on the record.

  20. I think with the amount of energy Pat brings, with his history of being a kicker, and his weekly HYPE kicking events to energize the youth to get some prize monayyy… not surprised we seeing some more BIG TIME field goals

  22. I saw mcafee bomb one into the wind with a new football at the orange bowl from 65. Dudes 50 yard field goals were going over the net behind the posts. Pat is def no slouch as a kicker in his prime.

  24. We are going to find out later, that these balls have like 40% helium mixed in. Same overall weight when its put in a box. They've already done a video on how much further they go. It's just a matter of getting the ratio right so it doesn't look to obvious.

  29. I mean after watching Tucker do it on a game winner… watching someone break the record during just a regular kick with the score 0-6 just really doesn’t hit the same.

  34. Can you believe that Arkansas had Cam Little & Jake Bates Detroit's kicker on the same team. Jake was a kick off specialist for Cam, which he didn't need. Jake can hit it over 70 yards as well.
