blue guys that the Clippers have. There’s a few of those guys on the roster for the Clippers. He he provides so much more than just the X’s and O’s. You know, just the knowledge of how to play the game. Excellent, excellent communicator, particularly on the defensive end of the court. Lawrence Frank told us last week in Utah that everybody at the end of the season will say Brook Lopez is one of the top three teammates they’ve ever had. And you got to overcommunicate and you can’t commit to kind of jumping to the ball at times so quickly because those slot cuts kill you and that time the given goal. Kentucky are able to complete the play. Harden gets Drew Smith on his side able to take advantage. James Harden now with eight Clippers out in front by one. Back and forth we go. Hake into the paint. This is where he does all of his damage. Gets to the rim and lays it. He’s got great footwork, a great handle, and great speed with that. He has played exceptional basketball to open up this season and a real real problem for the rest of the league. Miami by one, 1035 to play in this first half. Well, this is a Miami Heat team that averaged 66 points a game. That’s second in the league behind San Antonio in the paint. Now, they had a high this year of 72 versus Memphis. Well, during team USA, Eric Olstra’s scout was team Italy and so he was able to watch two full years of Simone Ponteio’s game. Thought this guy could really help us out. Well, he’s done that. 10 points off, make it now 11 off the bench. And Ponteekio has shot the ball as well as anybody in the NBA to open up the year. He puts Miami out in front by four. Harden whistle foul and they’ll go to the line for the three free throws here. Or James, we we we and I you have to you messed that one up. So don’t don’t try to give me queued up now. In in all seriousness though, like when you look at players, you wonder how many players are in the league that are just not in the right system to have their skills showcased like you’re seeing now with Fonteo. we saw with Norman Powell with us last year and beat his box the same way. But I would say Norman was Norman was in a great one in Toronto cuz he averaged 18 20 points a game. He needed a little bit more. And think about the number of games he saved for the Clippers when Kawhai was out or James. I mean, perfect. But to your point about Fonteo and also uh players of that, you find the right place that fits you. I’m telling you, you look at the numbers and you all of a sudden like, well, I knew he could play, but it’s it’s just the fit thing. It really is. Who you play with and what that system is determines so much for the players that are kind of not your superstar players. Of course, sometimes players will come here to the Clippers after a breakout season like, “What’s changed? What’d you work on?” He’s like, “Nothing. I just got opportunity.” As Lopez feathers it in. We’ve seen distance. We’ve seen him up close. He puts the Clippers out in front by one. 839 to play here in this first half. Ponteio deflected by Lopez. He’s been everywhere so far in this first half. And now Beal runs the show. Cradles the ball himself. Oh, crashing through a canopy of defenders. Lays it in and the Clippers now lead by three. Indication or indicator when Bradley Bill is healthy on top of his game is a coast to coast attack and finish. And I tell you what, Clear can do that. I mean, he’s struggling now this year, but a lot of talent, a lot of tools in that tool belt for that young man who’s only 21 years old, I believe. 73 of the year, made 35 of them a year ago. He ties up the score. Miami all square with the house right now. Harden drives and dishes. Lopez gets another deep three in and out. And the rebound goes to Miami. 750 to play in this first half. Yovic out of control. Beal helped it. Pocket. They’ve always been a good defensive team. Bottom 10 in offense. Now they’re putting points on the board. I mean, they’ve been struggling offensively since LeBron left, honestly. I mean, out outside of the top 10, instead of top 15, but sometimes you got to be innovative and open to change and they are this year. High five ball turnover. Rovic with hard to beat. Goes around him and lays it in. The third live ball turnover for the Clippers. 7 minutes to play in the second quarter. Derek Jones having some trouble bringing it across that court. And the Clippers getting their offense, but with 10 seconds left on the shot clock. Norman Powell back out there likely on a minute restriction coming off a groin injury. This is his first game in eight days. Harden the deep three. Not a great offensive possession on any level. I don’t think the ball ever got inside the timeline. Harden able to recover. Can Beal pay it out? The three in route scribbles off. Well, I mean that time James I mean DJ took him 10 seconds to get the ball down the court where very long inside but can’t get it to go. Clippers get the rebound and Harden brings it back the other way. Back to Lopez wide open for the three. Clippers seven of 17 from above the arc where not nice patience on the fly by. And now Miami out in front 5447. [Music] And they’re staying Miami. They’re content with staying in this zone defense. Forcing the ball to be on the perimeter for the Clippers.
