JFC it’s a rebuild year and we are dead with injuries.
Did you want him to trade our rebuilding draft picks for 1 year rentals?
I’m happy we didn’t do anything and are thinking of the future.
No trades are better than bad trades.
cant wait to see the “we love what we have in the building” speech shortly!
I didn’t think they’d do anything big, but I thought something in the vein of what they did last week for White just to get more D-linemen that are at least NFL-caliber
QB on big contact or trade deadline moves. Pick one.
Looking at what it took to get Sauce Gardner, the market was a bit too pricey.
He gave up on the team it’s time we gave up on him. Every 1st round pick he’s had has been terrible. Don’t even talk about Bosa who’s been injured far more than he plays. He traded away capitol for Trey Lance and then got lucky Shanahan scouted Purdy. He doesn’t draft O lineman in early which this team needs and explains why all the homegrown talent is atrocious. The team has key injuries year after year. He traded for Jimmy G and Brady because he can’t see talent and thought Jimmy G had the better upside. When do we move on from him as GM? How many times are we gonna say he’s building for the future? How many times are seasons gonna be a wash? The team is 6-3 not 3-6 and still can win the division but he gave up.
Kyle has control of the roster that gets put on the field every Sunday but he doesn’t have control over the draft or free agency that’s all on Lynch. He would be long gone if not for Shanny bailing him out with his coaching.
What do you want him to do? Resurrect bosa and Warner? This isn’t a championship roster with those two out (plus many many others)

Yeah, I think it was the right move. I would’ve loved more help on the defensive side, but not for the price of high draft picks. It is what it is. We’re still technically rebuilding so theres that.
Imagine trading a first for Trey Hendrickson and he tears his ACL stepping off the team plane.
This season is shot. Better to keep the assets we have.
honestly would trading a possibly top 15 draft pick (Even if we make the playoffs we’d probably not do anything) be worth it
Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don’t make. This Lynch guy knows what he’s doing. Even in a rebuilding year, the team this year was pretty well stacked until generational injuries set in. Even so, we still have a pretty.good chance of making the playoffs.
Punted on the season at 6-3 and 3-0 in the division. What a disgrace
I mean you could definately make the argument that this year trading isn’t a good idea. We’re so hurt there is no way we’re going to the bowl.
good no need to make any trades. it’d be like putting on expensive top of the line brembos on your 1991 toyota tercel.
To be fair.. We don’t have the resources to cover enough trades to be meaningful after this many major injuries
I’m glad we’re standing pat and playing it out. Some of you forget that we’re a team with older players with too much wear and tear on their bodies. We need to get young and build for the future. Stop disrespecting the other teams like we didn’t get our ass handed To us by a “weak” team 2 weeks ago smh. We are not a contender! We can’t generate a pass rush to disrupt Patrick, Lamar, Jalen or Josh just to name the top dawgs. Our defense is shell shocked and our offense is leaky and inconsistent. Our newly announced franchise quarterback is already dragging a bad foot through the year. Be realistic and enjoy the damn ride. We been here before many times. It’s is what it is. 6 will happen one day…just be faithful.
After losing Bosa, Fred, and now Mykel for the season, I was ok not doing anything. 3 starters, 2 of which are your most impactful defenders. That’s just too much to replace without depleting your draft capital. Sucks that is where we are while being 6-3, but it’s just reality.
100m in deadcap
100m on IR/Reserve.
WHY DIDNT WE SPEND OUR DRAFT CAPITAL?>!?>@!>
A few things about this
1. The FO said they will and have looked at anything that can help them
2. But within reason. Just because some teams are paying outrageous prices doesn’t mean it’s a good idea
3. There is no CMC level player that we can get for a 2 and 3. Plus we are at a point where those premium draft picks are far more valuable than they were a few years ago
4. It takes 2 teams to generate a trade. Maybe they agree on the player but not the price. Jets fleeced the Colts and Cowboys. Niners are not getting fleeced
5. Even for Trey H. I wouldn’t feel comfortable parting with a 2nd
Would I have liked them to pick up another end, yes but with reason. Cant overpay
I don’t know why we didn’t at least snag one more replacement d line or linebacker. Even just a mediocre player. We are so thin now
People here saying we should not mortgage the future. Trading 6th and 7th rounders to add depth pieces is not going to cripple you. There were guys out there that were not A list talents that we could of added just purely for depth. What a middle finger to guys like McCaffery and Kittle who get to waste a year of their dwindling prime cause of a gutless and unimaginitive GM
Best case scenario: Niners wins the SB at Levi.
Worst case scenario: More injuries pile up and Niners miss the post season with a second half of season meltdown.
Current trajectory with no additional trades: Niners make it in the post season but lose in the wild card game against the Seahawks or Rams.
Anyone expecting a big trade today hasn’t paid attention to anything John and Kyle have been saying for weeks.
Finally get to stop hearing about Trey now… geez
We’re too many pieces away now. Too many guys are out on defense and it doesn’t make much sense to trade for an offensive player. Except a lineman
With how strong the Seahawks and Rams look this year, probably best to save our draft capital and look ahead to next year once Fred, Bosa, Williams all return healthy.
I’m just going to enjoy the remainder of this season stress free without expectations.
Why are yall surprised
I just want this moment to be acknowledged if the 49ers regress further or improve with what we have plus solid coaching so far. But should it be the former, let it be known: didn’t do shit when you could have with picks you may waste or fuck off on anyway (see infamous picks like Trey Lance, Pettis, arguably Moody as well).
I mean, we’re not a superbowl contender this year. If this zombie team does win a superbowl ill be ecstatic, but its not a team that’s a trade or two away from greatness
Development year. Punt the season. I’m not watching this team get beat to shit on defense with no care to replenish or help. Thank god basketball started, I can just watch my Lakers, I can’t watch this team get beat to shit week in and week out. This defense is not good. The offense is too injury riddled to do be relied upon this year. Rest everyone. Punt the year. Hopefully everyone comes back healthy.
LoL at Cowgirls for thinking they were buyers at the deadline.
Nevermind the fact that there’s 31 other teams also going after all the same guys.
I think the 49ers should’ve spent everything on this year, with the Super Bowl being at Levi’s this year nothing could’ve been better for the organization then to be contenders.
I’d rather they trade for players because they can’t draft for shit.
Eagles got Jaelen Philips foe a 3rd rounder. Can’t wait for the niners to draft another 3rd round rb that won’t even sniff the field. 👍
