I’m shocked.

Of course he did, nobody else would have paid him.
Considering we gave Cobb 15 mil to do literally nothing, I won’t complain about Flaherty at 20 mil even if he didn’t quite live up to his expectations this past season.
I was expecting this after the up and down season he just finished. Hoping he can work with the coaches this off-season to get right again.
Hope he puts some of that money into more lucky pants.
No surprise there. He wasn’t getting that in free agency
He’s due for a good year. Still hope we sign a few starters
I am not bummed out about this.
People might think “Of course he did”, but he picked staying a Tiger for another year over getting a long term deal elsewhere.
So many guys are opting out because no one knows what contracts will look like coming out of the upcoming lockout.
He could have left and secured a deal of multiple years @ $16m+ easily elsewhere.
He must actually like it here.
He’s a fine 4-5 guy. If he can get back to 2024 form, that would make the rotation really good, assuming they keep Skubal for the year.
Well at least that’s one less player we have to worry about this offseason…
Good to have him back
Flaherty is fine. I still wonder how things pan out this year if Jobe and Olson don’t go down.
I’m cool with it
Can never have enough SP
It’s a solid arm and price for a #3 SP.
He wants to be here and he showed that he’s a good pitcher. Just had a down year. This is a great situation
Shocker
I like Jack and I approve of this decision.
I think we all knew that one was certain.
I’m good with this.
TWENTY MILLION
I’m happy
Awesome 👍🏼
MY WOKE GOAT IS STAYING HERE 🥳🥳🥳

Solid arm for the end of the rotation. But we need to resign Skubal, Mize, and get someone to fill the 3 spot.
I don’t hate it. I like the dude and I think it’s cool he wants to be in detroit. Hoping for a solid season from him.
He had a frustratingly inconsistent season, but honestly I’m fine with this. He’s a veteran guy who clearly likes Detroit, and has a solid chance for a decent rebound season in 2026.
I ain’t mad about it. He will bounce back and it will seem to be a steal.
It didnt bother me either way. Hopefully harris sees this as the Cobb equivalent and doesn’t sign another random starter that won’t perform.
Woot! A solid 4 pitcher and with a bit more consistency a nice 3.
He knows he sucks.. wont get 20 mil anywhere else…
