[Sara Civian] All of the Potential Top NHL Free Agents Have Re-Signed, Now What?

  1. If you were trying to fix your franchise through big free agent signings I think you are an idiot of a GM

  2. A lot of them are off the market, but Kempe, Panarin, and Tuch will all likely be 8 figure guys

  3. Draft and develop. Invest in better scouting.

There’s enough teams now for free agents to sign with, so actually doing the team management part is more important than just signing the best FA available

  4. I mean the trade deadline being fairly anemic outside of Vegas getting the mob to assault Stone to create cap space to trade for a Superstar it’s pretty boring. Free agency has become boring. It’s not the most important part of marketing the league but overt parity and boring isn’t fun for the league

  5. Same thing that happens every other year in the nhl.

Free agency always has a ton of hype around it in August, and by November it’s always another weak free agency.

  6. Dont worry from my small Island JGP and Lee will be available to the highest bidder come trade deadline 🤣🤣

  7. This reads to me more like “I’m a reporter that is assigned to cover NHL Free Agency, what the hell am I supposed to do now that I can’t fabricate rumors for the rest of the season?”

  8. GMs better start hitting in their draft picks FA isn’t coming to save them anymore

  9. This happens every year. Please media understand that players cannot sign extensions until the last year of their contracts. Therefore free agent classes always look better more than one year out.

This isn’t some crisis. It’s reality.

  10. Not all UFAs have been re-signed. The Kings and Kempe have yet to agree on a deal. Not sure what the holdup is; term or AAV. As a Kings fan just sign the guy already!!

  11. I’m curious to see if we see an uptick in KHL or Liiga signings. Maybe Jagr’s phone rings!
