  1. He’s gonna learn fast how much Lakers fans could love him if he keeps putting in the work

  2. I’ve lo….well I’ve liked Ayton since Phoenix. I’m happy he’s happy and is playing better.

  3. Well his previous coaches were Monty Williams, who scapegoated him and owns one of the worst season records in modern league history, and Chauncy Billups, who is alleged to be a kind of game fixing bookie who cheats at poker.

It’s no wonder he’s happier here.

I am once again reminding you, that the vibes are immaculate.

  5. Honestly, this coming from Ayton of all people actually makes me a bit emotional. Like he just wants to be understood, the same as all of us. You just didn’t expect something so real from someone like DA.

Dude has played like a top Center for JJ.

I hope Spoelstra asks JJ to be an Assistant Coach for Team USA. Team USA is like the All-star team for coaches too. It would be so poetic if JJ eventually became Head Coach for Team USA, following his mentor Coach K.

JJ would be excellent in that role. He knows how to build systems around the players he has available, and he gets the most out of everyone.

I’ll always be a fan of JJ’s Lakers.

  6. Redick still has some chapters to go through before panning out as a good or a great coach. But one thing I have zero doubt about is he really cares about his players and has zero ego over the team

  7. Marcus Smart and Ayton both have a chip on their shoulder, plus they are going to want to ball out this season to secure their last bag in the NBA.

  8. This man has found his people. I think he found his love for basketball again.

I don’t care what other team fans have to say about him while he was playing for them. He seems to be very happy in LA.

  9. Ngl I am nervous to be excited about this team it feels almost too good to be true how things are going

  10. It really does feel like him being thrown under the bus and disrespected in Phoenix got in the way of his love of the game and I haven’t seen him be all smiles in a minute. I remember reading stories about being driven to crying and no team should do that, no matter what their aspirations are, and their crummy behavior clearly affected him. I think LA is going to be a very good home for him because our team does tend to have a very intense ‘fight together die together’ comradery vibe and we’ll happily welcome him as one of us when he’s playing this selflessly and excelling within the system.

  11. I think Aytons rep was largely unwarranted.

The Suns dicked him around on his contract after he cut back on his offensive game like they asked and helped them get to the finals.

Then he got shipped to the Blazers where they weren’t trying to win and their coach was participating in a gambling ring.

He’s going to be a valuable asset here.

  12. Wow, this is one of the most heartwarming and encouraging things I’ve seen.

I feel like Ayton can have a long and successful career on the Lakers as a top 5 center in the league.

  13. He was the scapegoat of the suns finals, Kyrie had a similar performance during his Mavs finals but the Mavs did not chastise him to the ground.

  14. Good to see the chemistry and Ayton taking the lead when our 3 starters are out

  15. Well if he keeps being consistent along with Luka, Rui, Reaves and other important pieces…maybe just maybe this team could make a very good playoff run. One game at a time and slowly creep up and surprise everyone.

  16. I understood the signing but wasn’t thrilled with it. I think I just fell into the reddit trap of listening to the hate. He’s great! He’s always grabbing offensive boards for Outbacks, very confident in his short jump shots and hooks. Respectable on defense. Very happy with his play so far. Definitely turned me into a fan pretty quickly

  17. Redemption arcs… how Hollywood.

I would love it if Ayton played his butt off this season and we make him part of our Luka-AR-LaRavia core for the next 5 years.

  18. Effort was Ayton’s biggest downside coming into this season imo. Gladly proven wrong. Smart has also contributed heavily in terms of hustle. Looking forward to watching this team grow throughout the season
