Brandon Montour should have been could have been the hero of the night, but unfortunately for the Seattle Kraken, it’s Cole Cfield whose two goals and one assist get the win for his team. The Seattle Kraken fall to the Montreal Canadians 4-3 in overtime. This was not a pretty game. Both goalenders with a sub 900 save percentage, some sloppy play for the Seattle Kraken. Once again, we saw 50/50 puck battles by way of the young Berkeley Kton be an issue. Vince Dunn tried to clean things up defensively, but then similarly to what we have talked about on the show before, Joey Dord just cheated a little bit, gave enough room for Cfield to poke in the game-winning goal in overtime. You can definitely take some good things away from this performance in this game, but ultimately it’s what we heard on the radio broadcast that this Seattle Kraken team still needs to find a way to play 60 minutes of a Lane Lambert style of hockey if they want to be successful. We’ll talk about this one more on Locked on Kraken.
