🚨JUST IN: Falcons Make Multiple Roster Moves On NFL Trade Deadline Day + Falcons News & NFL Trades

[Music] Well, that was disappointing, wasn’t it, Falcons fans? Welcome in to Falcons Today by Chat Sports. My name is Moose, and this franchise continues to just find new ways to disappoint me. I I I honestly don’t know what the hell that was for three and a half hours. If you joined to our live watch party for the Falcons 2025 trade deadline, you would have seen a big fat goose egg from Terry Fontau, Raheem Morris, and anybody in that entire front office for the Dirty Birds. This is of course why you subscribe though. Every single time the Atlanta Falcons do anything or don’t do anything, apparently, we’re going to make a video for you just in time for your viewing pleasure. So, do me a favor. If you love the daily content, if you love the updates surrounding your dirty birds, my dirty birds, hit that sub button right now. We do have some roster moves to talk about. So, it’s not like the Falcons did nothing all day long. They just didn’t do anything in the trade deadline, but we did sign Zayn Gonzalez, a kicker now that we have released Parker Romo. And Zay Gonzalez has most recently been with the Washington Commanders. Clearly the Atlanta Falcons are putting a lot of stock into this miss field goal stuff now. Is that the biggest problem the Falcons have? Not even close. And the fact that we continue to fire kickers instead of fire coaches is absolutely wild to me. However, I will admit the kicker is a bit of an issue and you should continue to rotate kickers until you find one that sticks. And then if you don’t find one that sticks, well then maybe you need to go out in the seventh round and draft someone. But with the five draft picks that the Atlanta Falcons have, drafting a kicker seems foolish considering you didn’t trade away any players today. It’s crazy. It’s crazy stuff. Another move that they made. Big- time mover here. Andrew Stuber comes back to the Atlanta Falcons who spent his 2024 preseason with the Atlanta Falcons. and then after he was dumped by the Falcons, signed on with the Cincinnati Bengals, and then again, of course, released by them and signed by the Falcons today. There’s not much to talk about with this guy. He’s played in seven total games this entire season. So, I don’t even think that he is a starting caliber guard for the uh Atlanta Falcons offensive guard. But, what I will say is that it adds a little bit of depth, which is fine if you want to look at it like that. But I don’t look at it like this at all. In fact, I’m still stewing because the Atlanta Falcons had an opportunity. They had an opportunity to make this team better in the future, did they not? They had an opportunity to get rid of a surplus, not a surplus, excuse me. They got they had the opportunity to get rid of a player with a surplus of other pass rushers in Arnold Edi. You could have gotten a third round pick. Call up the Chicago Bears. They could have used one. He could have called up a multitude of teams and gotten rid of Arnold Wati to secure and solidify at least some dignity in the 2026 draft considering you have no first round pick. But you know what? You didn’t. You didn’t. And why is that significant? Well, usually bad teams sell at the trade deadline. Now, I wouldn’t say you had to fire sail it like the New York Jets did. You didn’t have to fire it, at least somewhat like the Tennessee Titans did. And I get it. You only have 4.86 million in available cap space. But the offense is sputtering. There’s a clear and obvious indication from the locker room that things are not okay. Oh, and by the way, like I alluded to, you only have five draft picks in 2026. So, what is it, Terry? Are you happy that this team is three and five and thinking, man, we can really turn it around? Or are you so upset with this team that you feel like changes need to be made? And if that’s the case, why haven’t Raheem and Zack Robinson been fired yet? So, where do we stand, Terry? Oh, I know. Mediocrity. And not even mediocrity. No man’s land. That’s where you stand, Terry Fontno. Because your reluctance to make a move for now or to make a m move for the future proves that you’re just going day by day. And that’s the worst place to be in if you’re a football fan or an Atlanta Falcons fan for that matter. But you know what? Like I said, this continues to not shock me because every single day, this team now just finds different ways to make me laugh. So, are you mad that the Falcons didn’t make a move? No, I’m not mad about it. What I am is over it. I’m over it. And I’ll tell you why I’m over it coming up after this little ad break that we’ve got from our friends over at Prize Pick. The weather might be changing, but you know what never changes? The Falcons mediocrity. That’s what never changes. But Prize Pix is not mediocre. In fact, Prize Picks is really, really great. Use code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. That’s code CLNS to get $50 in lineups after you play your first $5 lineup. Prize picks. It is good to be right. So, like I said, I’m over it. Why am I over it? Because Arnold Debati, as much as I love the players that we have drafted and grown and developed, it’s clear that the newer additions in Jaylen Walker and James Pierce Jr. are the future. And then you have interior pressure players like Brandon Doris and like Lel London that both can do their job at getting to the quarterback as well. That’s not even to mention players like Kaden Ellis or David Onyada or Ruk Aro. So Arnold seems like the clear and obvious choice that if somebody was going to get moved, it would be him. We talked about it all week long. All week long. Abocadi is the move. Get a third round pick and at least get another draft pick. Why sell? Because this is the current state of the NFC South. You are squarely in third place. Hell, even the freaking Ants, man. They made a move today. They made two moves, actually today. They got rid of one of their best weapons and they got two draft picks out of it. You mean to tell me you couldn’t have gotten a third and a sixth for Arnold Eat? You could have. But you know what? It all boils down to one take. This team is not serious about getting better. It isn’t. And if you’re watching right now, I want you to pin the exact time that I’m saying this. The team isn’t serious about getting better. Not now, not for next year, not for the coming years. They aren’t serious about it. And it’s a shame because the city of Atlanta deserves better. Falcon fans deserve better. They deserve to be taken care of from an entertainment perspective surrounding their favorite football team. I highlighted the plan. And I’m not saying that Terry Fontnau watches this. I’m not saying that Arthur Blank watches this. I know they don’t. I’m not that important. But I did highlight what the Falcons should do. Trade Arnold for a third rounder. Then pick swap with the Browns for Shelby Harris. You solve two problems in one. You get rid of a player like Ebati who you’re not necessarily in need of having. You plug up the hole in the defensive line and get a tree stump to stop the run woes. And then you also build for the future. So there’s two birds, one stone right there. And then this is just gravy if it happens. Kirk Cousins gets traded and it opens up the door for cap space because he’s a $35 million cap savings next year. You’re going to cut him anyway. But Terry, you still didn’t do So keep thinking that things are going to be different. This is not just a message to Falcons fan, but a message Falcons fans, excuse me. Um, this is a message also to Terry Fontno. If you continue to do nothing and sit on your ass all day long and just pray that something’s going to work out, you will continue to find yourself at the bottom of the barrel of the NFL. Mic drop. Period. Stamp it. Send that out because I’m I I like I said, I’m over it. I’m over it. Subscribe to the channel. Honest breakdowns every single day. When something positive happens, I promise you, I will be more upbeat. I will. I swear to God, I don’t like being this negative all the time. But I am being honest like you guys have asked me to be. 1. Don’t do Terry like that. He works to get deals done, it takes two parties to make the deal. Terry’s roster is pretty good. The Kirk gamble just didn’t work out & it leaves us limited. Our problem is the coaching. Imagine if a good coach coached this roster.

  2. You don't need a 1st round pick to find a good player in the draft. The coaching staff is the problem. Bad play calling, no scheme ideas to confuse a defense. The defense needs to scheme better to hide it's weaknesses.

  3. We are just as delusional as the cowboy fans.Only difference always always make trade deadline trades. The other doesn’t give a damn about football what so ever.

  4. Honestly I'm not surprised that the Falcons didn't make any moves. We never do anything major when we have the opportunity to do so!!! This year's draft was the most surprising event for the Falcons. We need to get rid of Terry, Raheem, Zac, and Rich!!!! If Arthur can't get it right he needs to sell the team to someone that actually cares about winning!!! From here on out I'm watching the games with NO expectations!!!! At least this way there will be NO disappointments!!!! Our management is terrible!!!!!!

  5. At the end of the day, this team didn’t need to make moves. Not for drafts picks not for players. This regime with Terry (5 years) and rah for almost two seasons, has not shown they can build a winning team. Why allow any of them to do more with this team if they aren’t going to be here l. Raheem has done nothing with the talent he had, don’t deserve more l. And Terry do not need to prepare for the future because he will no longer be apart of the future after his drafts build no depth or real talent outside of the first round . That’s why I’m not surprised by the deadline

  6. This guy's crazy or something. Surely he knows ball better than this. To claim they didn't make a move, while true, isn't the whole story. They may of tried to make moves and the teams turned them down or wanted to much. I mean we only have five picks and I'm sure they wanna keep those and the whole Arnold Ebiketie thing is also the same. You don't normally call other teams and just say hey we wanna trade you Arnold Ebiketie. Either you have a player in mind you want and add him to the package or the teams call you asking about him, which obviously nobody did. There are several trades I would of loved to make. First would be Casey Washington and our fourth for Alec Pierce. He's a huge deep threat, that would help our offense. He had 37 catches for over 800 yards and 7 TDs, I believe last year. Averaging over 20 yards per catch. And until we got Divine Deablo back, I would of moved Jalon Walker to the middle and then tried to package Arnold Ebiketie to the Giants for Kayvon Thibodeaux. Have Kayvon Thibodeaux and James Pearce Jr. coming off the edges with Kaden Elliss and Jalon Walker in the middle until Divine Deablo got back. Idk why we haven't tried Demarcco Hellams in JD Bertrands place. Demarcco can tackle, he can cover etc.

  7. I’m not putting stuff on Terry . We know who the problem is , I don’t believe Terry hired Raheem due to the fact he isn’t the one who blocked Bill from being hired 🤷🏽‍♂️
