In football, it’s much harder to get a player onboarded than it is in other sports. I agree. Like, so when you sign a player in free agency or you trade for a player in the offseason, you have OTAAS, mini camp, training camp, preeason, you have this whole buildup of how to get that player integrated into your system, integrated into your scheme, that sort of thing. Whereas, when you trade for a guy at the deadline, they are basically going to get a crash course on your offense or your defense, and you’re going to get thrown in

Do we really need to give cover for the Krafts' cheapness? Yes, it's more difficult in football. Yes, the really good players cost too much draft capital. But they couldn't find even one good depth player to trade one of their four 6th round draft picks for?
