NHL Highlights | Predators vs. Wild – November 4, 2025

night in the overtime loss to Vancouver. We are set to roll. Our Toyota puck drop will get it started and it’s the matchup on the faceoff dot. West walls mentioned during Wild Live. Ericson against Ryan O’Reilly. We’ll watch that. Matt Baldy carries out. Wilder fifth in the league with the extra man. Second best at home. Capri off sends it down low and a sliding stop by Anan. The net is loose for Nashville. 36.4% 4% second best home power play in the league and Nashville’s got a good kill at a little over 84% but the Wild cut through the neutral zone gained possession with ease and Capri off with a a one-touch pass from the slot on making Bernie in the final seconds. Here’s a chance the other way for Nashville off the postlat. Yeah, Wislat does a good job being aggressive but turns over and Johansson that puck’s kind of rolling at him. Wise initially with the stick play to to interfere with the pass from Baldi to Johansson. Then he jumps on the loose puck. Brings it. Wood tried to fight his way into the Minnesota zone. This third line for Nashville has been more productive lately. And here’s a point blank chance for O’Reilly out front. Big save of the night against Ryan O’Reilly from close range. It’s Baron dumps it back in for the Pred. Well, it’s early in the game, too. But another turnover. Hollow with a shot and that was blocked. Maraso fires off the post. Second post hit by the Predators early here tonight. Marley battling. Capriog walks off the wall with it. Now it’s Spurgeon up high to Terasenko into the middle. Capriog. Spurgeon. Capriog down the slot. A shot. He scores. [Music] [Applause] of the zone here and watch. He forces Nashville’s kill to make a choice. He’s up on top separate. He drags somebody all the way across. Now he exploits the open ice. 47 sits on that back post and Capri says, “I’ll take the ice.” Comes in head up. He’s got the screen moving through there just alongside Erikson past Anin and the power play connects on the second half. But these guys are getting there. Loose puck. Kenstro into the slot. Hartman a shot and that’s deflected wide. You know, or the fourjack. It’s just turnover. Turnover. Let’s go. Forsber into the slot. A save by Gustiffson. [Applause] Pervix holds at the line. Shay into the middle. Forsber. Back to Shay. Driving in. Saved by Gustiffson. [Music] Erikson wins it cleanly. Back to Spurgeon. Tipped in by Baldi. Pervix back to pick it up. Erikson X sweeps one off the pad of Anan and Terasenko denied on the rebound. That’s how you drop a four check. You win your one-on-one battles. You beat somebody to the net. Artman for Felo and that just misfired and the Predators have numbers at the Minnesota line. Marsha so centers and a good backhand chance denied by Gustoson on the for check here. He follows his play down. Brian Hartman with a look there and just turns it over. Now all of a sudden it’s March and Baron through the play again. It’s Gustin. You touched on this in the first period. Anthony just kind of making the big save at the right time and Baron doesn’t get a lot to get the free hand loose. He’s tugging a guy going the box. And now Minnesota on the kill. Shay with a shot. Save. Gustoson rebound and he stopped. Forsber with a pad. You mentioned they were three for three against Vancouver. Prior to that, they had successfully killed just one of five short-handed situations over a four-game stretch. Here’s McCarron moving in. He centers and they score. McCarron threw it across and Wood left alone on the back door. Able to bury it for Nashville. And the game is tied 1-1. He’s just sitting on the backside. You can see 7. He’s going for a change. He’s like, “Oh, hang on.” Wild don’t get it out. Turnover at the blue. And then McCarron, interesting choice bringing this one to the back end, but it’s the fan there from Pitlick. And then McCarron just to the back end. Don’t know they need to make that play, but he delivers it. But Guson wishes he was a little further out. Perhaps a poke check there. Who would on the back door just on his backand walks off the wall with it down to 15 in the power play. Johansson back up high. Favor. Faber fires, scores. One defenseman with a shot, the other with a deflection and Z Buiam has Minnesota in front. 2-1 on the power play. Takes his shot, but Buham sets up Favor and he doesn’t just sit there high up in the slot. He goes right through, creates some space, and then finds some open ice. Redirection high tip from Favor and the second unit continues to deliver for the Wild. Boy, what a big goal that is too. Chasing it this whole period. first group goes, [Music] you know, specifically the second minute of that final one with a onegoal lead to preserve it like Nashville I think would they were hoping that opportunity would pay off for him after a strong period but hands it off to Broaddin and a backhander save by Ottoman. Third period opens up with chances on both ends. Brodin activates from the blue line and gets a good feed here from Favor. Jones dumps it in. Jok pressured there by Uraichek. Pit got it out front. Jones a shot saved by Ottoman. This the kind of shift John Hines was. Another look at the fourth line getting on the for check and [Applause] Fick wins a couple of wall battles gets it down low. And then Jones for the chance. [Applause] Wood has it broken up by Favor. It bounces right back to Wood. He centers and a backhander by Bunting. Pushes it into the corner. Pitlick there for Minnesota. Comes loose for Jones. A shot saved by Anan. When they’re on the ice, Pick and Trion outnumber Nashville. I should say outnumbered by Nashville. Three on two. Spit this one out to the slot. Jones jumps on it. Lankenberg plays it into the corner. O’Reilly from close range. Save. Gustoson. Rebound kicked in behind the net and cleared. Probably Gustoson’s blocker side for the faceoff. Leaves it behind for Maraso. Now to Blankenberg. Lot of time outside. Blankenberg. A shot sliding save Gustiffson and the rebound picked up clear to the line. Blankenberg holds. One last shot for Stampos. He scores. Did it beat the clock or not? Wow, this is close. The the play was developing. You can see it coming. [Applause] Blankenberg with a shot. Wild at the recovery and Erikson X just can’t get it out past the blue line. Quick recovery from Blankenberg. He feeds Stamos. And we talked about this one time earlier in the broadcast. Anthony, it’s it’s all world. Gustoson sliding across. You get the goalender moving. It’s against the grain. Glove can’t catch up now. So it’s Erikson vers O’Reilly. And it’s Capri off Forsber. And Erikson, who was beaten by O’Reilly on three straight draws late in the game, wins this one to start the overtime. Capriov moves in, drops to Erikson. A shot and a glove save by Aninan. It’s a twoon two little cross and drop. Capri off Erikson. And Eriken has such a sneaky hard shot. Rossi dropped it here to Baldi. Baldi moves in a shot. It’s loose and Anan able to cover. Great goal line attack here from Baldi. He tries to open up the five hole of Anan and he does successfully but Capriov tried to get it out to Faber but it was taken away. Shay hands it off to Holla. Hala has it stripped away. Johansson carries ahead. Capri off with Johansson driving the net. Favor Capriov. Johansson and he scores. scores. Marcus Johansson with the winner for the Wild. The ability to say the continuation of the play. [Applause] Boy, that’s that’s interesting cuz actually Johansson maybe misses the net on this one. But hey, the call on the ice is goal. And the officials can rule that if the net was intact, the puck would have gone in. Not quite as clear because his first shot hit the side of the net. But that left post never leap. [Music]

Marcus Johansson scored the overtime-winning goal as Filip Gustavsson made 32 saves to push the Minnesota Wild over the Nashville Predators 3-2.

  1. Rule 63.7…so we're now suggesting the zebra predict the outcome after it's clear the shot was wide of the post. Think the Preds got screwed here…

  2. no idea how that is considered a goal, sure it was an accidental knock off the net and it should be a penalty but how is that a goal?

  3. Если бы нападающий стормозил и не стал бросать шайбу за ленточку,
    то гола бы не было.

    А так: – ворота сдвинуты умышлено, – игра продолжается,
    – шайба пересекла ленточку. – гол!

  4. These last two games show what the Wild are capable of when they don’t show up drunk. Still like to give the puck to the other team way too much to be winners though

  7. Nashville and Evangelista absolutely emberrased the refs the other night after embeleshing two calls. The refs were happy to call that OT goal and hand the wild the win.

    Это прописано в правиле 63 IIHF (умышленное сдвигание ворот).
    Если шайба уже летела в ворота и защитник/вратарь их сдвинул — гол засчитывается.
    Даже если шайба фактически не пересекла линию ворот, судья оценивает вероятность гола.
    Если шайба не была в зоне броска или не было очевидного момента, тогда:
    игра останавливается;
    игрок, сдвинувший ворота, получает мелкий штраф (2 минуты);
    если это сделал вратарь в конце игры (например, чтобы выиграть время) — возможен штрафной бросок (буллит).
    Особый случай: если воротарь сдвигает ворота в концовке матча или в овертайме, чтобы избежать гола в очевидной атаке — назначается буллит, даже если шайба не шла прямо в створ.
    В сухом остатке:
    умышленно сдвинул ворота = наказание, а если момент был голевой — гол засчитают, даже если шайба не залетела физически.
