Carolina Hurricanes at New York Rangers | Game Highlights | 11.04.2025

[Music] Brenberg, Darren Pang, Katherine Tapen. Happy to have you with us on a Tuesday night for NHL on TNT double header. First of three games we have on the air here this week as the puck winds up in the Rangers zone right off the opening face off. Seth Jarvis, Alfred Walker in the first shot is from distance coming off three straight wins as the headman pass winds up on the stick of Paner and crossed the ice and all that JT Miller could get on it was a backhand chip to Coach Gong. long time getting this puck down and it’s one with authority by JT Miller. Yeah, they knew I was stuttering with my statements. That’s why Fox to the net and from a tough angle. Where is it? Coachov not 100% sure. All that matters is it’s not in the net. Behind the net. Coach out to play it. Pass up the wall. It’s Robertson aster in on net low and lava gloves it down. Forced it off the goender and then wide under pressure from Will Borggan. And it’s Jackson Blake to the line. Chatfield tease one up. No traffic, no problem for Sister Sturken. He’ll hang on. He actually fell back on his rear end as he was trying to get back towards the net. Off the draw, a wrist from Yoel Nestrom, another rookie who’s been forced to Rangers have won three straight. Last two coming in overtime coming off a West Coast trip that started with a loss in Calgary. Then they won three straight for the first time. An outstanding coach. anybody that’s worked with him on the bench, played for him, he’s a he’s got a a great mind and a a demeanor about him that’s solid for the long haul. Well, he makes the point about trying to use Carolina’s aggression and that’s just a fact. They’re that good at it. Schneider elevates it. Twoon one. Miller has Panera. Now he’s all alone. Save made by Cochkov. Caneran tried to beat him. Blocker side. Coachov still standing. There’s a chance for Carson Susi off the setup from Panera. Yeah, I think Paneran’s pass actually went off a stick and went right on the tape of Susi. Rangers re-enter. Laba throws the break sign gets roughed up by Cooki. Puck stuck there along the boards. Lafernier dug it free. Defensive play by Mike Riley, but the puck still out high. That shot tipped in front by Lafrnier and still stopped by Cochov. Coachov has been very, very sharp here. The puck might have had some spin on it. He thought he could maybe control the first one. Now it rolls off your stick. Now you’re in trouble, but you do whatever it takes to keep it out. Band of Pharmaceuticals power play for Carolina. And they score. Nikolai Eers finally has his first as a hurricane. Just a little wrist right there. They’ve got the power play goal and all it took was one shot on goal. A faceoff win. That’s the key by Aaho. He wins it cleanly against the bandage head and just a wrist. All you could hear the clank of the of the puck off the post go to the short side far side beyond Susi. It looked like Susi was going to be able to block this one, but it found its way through today at b.org/hfc. Oh, Catherine Tappen is standing by. I kind of went kind of the way that he did it. The way that they moved his shoulder over kind of exposed maybe the back side of the shoulder. Chris shot scores. Oh, that wrist got through from Walker straight in. It’s a two nothing Carolina Hurricanes lead and another shot from range that gets by Shurken. Sullivan’s looking at the replay, but Dishian blocks that shot at one end of the ice. to get an offense his own face off and long shot right there and it just goes clean in and let’s see if there’s any kind of goalender interference. I believe it’s his own player Robertson. I don’t believe he was pushed in at all. His skate looks like it gets caught up in the right skate and leg of the goalender Shooken. Now that would be different if he got jammed right in there. Jeff has got to matter for every one of the players of the New York Rangers. Now on the other side of it, I think Carolina’s playing a beautiful game. And now their job is to is to really put the hammer down here and take any will, any life, any possibility. And that one officially does not count as a shot and is headed wide. That’s Lafernier now for Zabanagette. [Applause] Around the boards, Miller flipped up. Adam Fox can’t come up with it. Seth Jarvis can. There’s no one to stop him. And Jarvis puts it away. An empty net for Seth Jarvis and the Carolina Hurricanes and the lead now three inside of 100 seconds just to get out of the zone. But you see the defensive zone coverage there by Jordan Stall. I mean Jordan Stall and Martin Hook. I mean they’re checking with Seth Jarvis. They go against other team’s best players and Seth Jarvis is the recipient. Look at the response by the bench of the Carolina Hurricane. Final seconds tick off of a three nothing win for Carolina. 66th win for Podor Cochet of his career and his 11th shutout in what is his season debut in the National Hockey

  1. Often is said that the goalie needs to give the team in from a chance to win the game. It feels like this game the offense played solid enough to give Kotchy the chance to take the W home. And he did.
