they came tonight. What your thoughts on the way this one uh just kind of ended? Yeah, it’s a close game. I I you know they I don’t think we execute it as well as we have been and um I think that’s what what it comes down to is they get a a goal and uh we don’t and and long trip I think uh made a lot of excuses for ourel. I thought we battled throughout and um just didn’t get anything going. Um they do a heck of a job blocking shots. Credit to them, but um we just didn’t bury our chances overall in the trip. I mean, you showed some resilience. You have to let that Yeah, we did. and we show we can play on the road and I think in this building especially and you know I thought that was a winnable game and and uh you know we just didn’t get the get the the offense the bounces the um the puck going in the net that we needed and and um you know Gibby played unbelievable which is a positive sign and PK was good again but um you know it’s it’s a good learning lesson we got to be got to we got to execute better and and when we get our chances we got to bury bury How good is it going to be to get home and then have all the stuff that’s going on this weekend with all the the history? Yeah, it’s very exciting and um you know it’s uh always a tough challenge to come back home after a long long trip out west and uh we’re going to have to be ready and it’s going to be exciting. I hope I hope we’re uh we uh we’ve built some momentum and and we have a couple great crowds and um you know we continue where we left off at home and that’s the exciting part. Obviously a onegoal game and then what did you maybe think on the ice? What’s the difference for the group as a whole? Um I thought we played well. I mean you got to credit them. They they make it hard to score. They block a lot of shots. They play well defensively. So it’s a hard fought game. one shot and is what it is. In terms of the road trip as a whole, you guys pick up six possible 10 points. What can you look back on the last week and things you guys maybe did well? Yeah, I mean just kind of built off the things we did well. Kind of learned from the things that we didn’t. Obviously would have been nice to get one more win, but I thought we played well. Like I said, you got to give them credit. They played a heck of a game there defensively, clogging up the middle and blocking shots. How important was it to show you guys can play well on the road after how things had gone on that Buffalo Island? Next question. No, we didn’t really put any thought into that. I mean, it’s that’s going to happen. It is what it is. Thank you. Still, I mean, we won the road trip, but I think we had a lot more on the line. Uh, tonight it was a very meaningful game, and unfortunately, we just couldn’t get it done. Um, it’s a very good team. They’re playing really good defense, and I think in the end, we just didn’t work hard enough for our chances. How important was it just to prove how well you can play on the road? Um yeah, not only for for all the other people, but I think for this locker room was really crucial to to know that we can be a good road team and I think that was the right step. Um yeah, the just this whole week you guys had a couple on the power play tonight and unfortunately weren’t able to cash in. Was it Lurin talked about execution? Did you see more of that a lack thereof on the power play or maybe more of what they did on the PK? Uh a mix of both probably. I think we just didn’t really have the answers ready. Um, I mean we came prepared but couldn’t really figure out our game plan and then it’s hard uh against a really good PK. So, uh, probably a mix of both. Thanks, Mom. But, how did you see tonight? I thought it was a real tight game. Um, you know, there were chances both ways, but the the goalenders um stood in there fairly well, and I thought we gave ourselves a chance to win. It would have been nice to to be a little more effective on the at least the one full power play that we had. That may have been our our opportunity, but just not enough sustained offensive time, but uh team like that can do that to you. They’re uh uh there’s a reason why they’re picked for for one of the top uh top teams in the league. They check real well, commit to it, block a lot of shots, and uh we just couldn’t break through tonight. What can you guys take home uh from this trip? Well, I I think first of all, we got to get home and get some rest. That’s that’s a big thing. Um, you know, we’ll do that tomorrow. We’ll do that uh we’ll practice on Thursday. We’ll get ready to play again. Uh, but there’s some things that we improved on. Um, there’s still some things that need work. Uh, you know, today we we understood the net play was going to be real real important. And you look at the one goal they got, they uh they got in behind us. We were we had enough bodies around it, but we didn’t play it very well. So, we’ve got to work on that. But um you know some guys have really good trips, other guys just average. Um but we’re still the team that’s evolving and and we have work to do. Just on Gibson’s night and he obviously gave you guys a chance to stay in this one. Yeah, he did. As I mentioned, both goalenders uh you know, there were some chances. They probably had a few more than we did when the when the night was all over. Uh but uh Gibson gave us an opportunity. You know, we’ve we’ve got to get them a win and and uh you can’t do that unless you score at least one goal. Is the resilience you’ve shown? I mean, in some of the earlier games, I mean, that that ties into the what you’ve been talking about most of the season. It does. Um, you know, even today it uh you know, they had their pushes and their chances and we pushed back. Um, you know, I’ve been with teams that at the back end of a trip, you don’t get a game like this. Sometimes you get a four nothing, 5 nothing game. Uh, it’s just the way it is. Um, and our team didn’t didn’t give them that. It’s not a a moral victory or anything like that. It’s just that the resiliency and the the hardness between the years is is coming. We’re working on it. Um and and I’m sure it can get better as the season goes on.

Your creativity and warmth have touched so many lives in such a meaningful and positive way 🔥⚡
Wake up 9 years of crapy play
You guy looked good. Vages is not an easy team. The loss sucks, but let's head home and get a win. Gibson was in good form, you all put a lot of pressure on the other team, and you guys defended well.
You played awesome, Mo. If everyone played like you we would have smoked them
Mo needs to keep playing as aggressive as he did today.
And as much as I like Finnie, he needs to learn close quarters finishing from a JVR or a Kane. I also dont think he should be on PP1 or 6 on 5. He couldnt keep the zone on multiple occasions.
Sloppy, unprofessional and unacceptable! You idiots better smarten up before you face the Rangers. Otherwise, they’ll skate circles around you!
.970+ save percentage tonight from Gibson. Not too shabby.
3-2 road trip ain't too shabby, either.
Losses aren't fun, but I like what I am seeing so far.
LGRW!
the team wo Kane and Nygard and with Hamonic in for Docker is much much worse than the team we saw during the winning streak.
Larkin needs more of an ass hole demeanor.. Looks all sad and shit. Comes off as soft
I truly think Benny – Mo and Ed – ASP are the proper lines. having either Mo or Ed out at almost all times is such a luxury that has helped win us those early games. would like to see that combination come back.
why does Larkin fall apart at the end of every season when they need him most? a real leader wouldn't do that
Offense has to wake up
they look the same as last year the good teams are not as good as last year
Let’s go boys!!! it’s all good, run it back!!! 🦾🐙
