Wow. Former Nick Dante Devincenzo is set to return to MSG tomorrow night. When speaking about his return though, he made some shocking comments that show his heart is still with New York. We’re going to break down all of these latest reports today. This episode is presented by FanDuel. If you’re enjoying the content, please hit that subscribe button and make sure you have notifications turned on so you don’t miss any new content. And now, let’s get started. Dante Danchenzo comments on his Knicks return. If I took a poll right now on which former Nick player that’s still active should return to this team, I’m sure it would be a landslide in favor of Dante Danchenzo. The one that got away and the one that fans never wanted to leave in the first place. Dante Dvenenzo, he’s going to be returning to MSG tomorrow night. And the media, they asked him, “How does it feel to return to New York?” and he made some surprising comments. According to Dante Danchenzo, he said the following when asked about his return to MSG and the Knicks. And shout out to NBA insider with the New York Daily News, Christian Winfield, for giving us this following information as well. According to Dincenzo, it was one year, but it was a really good year, and they became family. Remember, Dante Dvenenzo is saying this even though he knows he has to go face tof face with the Knicks tomorrow night. Remember, we are the opponent tomorrow. But when speaking about New York, he sees the Knicks as family, and he wasn’t even with New York for that long. He wasn’t part of this team for that long, and he still sees the Knicks as family. That’s number one. Number two, what does he miss about New York or miss about the Knicks? It’s all of us. It’s the fans. He still misses a part of New York. According to Dante Devenenzo, I always go back to the fans. There’s that love and respect and appreciation for, I guess, the way I played the game and the interaction I’ve had with them. That’s what I cherish. coming back to the city and getting that love and interacting with all the fans. That’s kind of what I get out of it. So, let me get this straight. You’re taking on the Knicks tomorrow night, but New York you still consider as family. And you miss the biggest fan base in the NBA, one of the best fan bases in the NBA, the New York Knicks. You miss the fans and you miss the interactions that you had with them. But is that it? Is that all? or is there something else? Is there something more? There is. When you see somebody or a team as family, what do you normally do with family? You call them, you speak with them, you check in on them. And Dante Danchenzo, even to this day, still keeps in contact with many former Nick players and former Nick staffers. That tells you without a doubt his heart is still with New York. You’re not doing all of this or saying all of this if there’s not a part of you, even a small part of you that wishes you were still back at MSG. You were still with the New York Knicks. You were still on this team. Dante Dincenzo remains in touch with former staffers and teammates with the Knicks. That includes Jaylen Brunson, whose wedding Dvenenzo served as a groomsman in. And while Devincenzo says he won’t be playing Wednesday’s game with a chip on his shoulder, he does always enjoy facing one of his former teams. I’m looking forward to guarding everybody. I love playing against Deuce McBride, OG Anobi. It’s always fun to compete against your former teammates, but also your friends. Should I say that last part again? Yeah, I think I should say it again. But also your friends. Business is business at the end of the day. But the fans, they’re always going to have a special place in my heart. So the fans in New York will always be part of your heart. You know what that tells me? Your heart never left New York City. It’s still here. It’s still with us. OG Aninoi, Jaylen Brunson, Muel Bridges, Miles McBride, Josh Hart, all of these guys, as you just said, they’re your friends. Sure, business is business. I get it. I understand it. You’re going to try to get the W for the Timberwolves. I respect it. I understand it. However, it sounds like to me once you can make a decision on your future and you can choose your own destiny, choose what team you want to join, I think it’s only a matter of time before he chooses the New York Knicks once again. The Knicks never wanted to get rid of Dante Dvenenzo. And Devincenzo never wanted to leave. The only reason, the only reason he is part of Minnesota right now is because New York would have never been able to trade Julius Randall unless they added Dante Dvenenzo to that deal. Danchenzo was almost as important as Randall was to that deal getting done for Carl Anthony Towns. That’s what I’m talking about right now. And honestly, sometimes when I look down at the bench, at the Knicks bench, and I look at certain players on the bench, I can’t help but wonder, what if we didn’t have that player, but instead had a player like Dante Devincenzo, who gives you defense, who gives you three-point shooting, but also who brings a little bit of toughness that we need off the bench. Jordan Clarkson and Josh Hart, they add to that toughness. But Dante Danchenzo, he would take it to another level because Danchenzo when he’s in the game, he is just that type of player. Now, unfortunately, I don’t believe that this reunion is going to happen anytime soon. Do I think it’s possible? Absolutely. Do I believe the Knicks want it? Yes. Do I believe Dante Danchenzo wants it? Yes. That’s why Do I believe Dante Danchenzo wants it? Yes. That’s why I believe sooner or later Denzo will make his return to MSG as a New York Knick. But don’t get too excited. That type of reunion, that type of move, it is not happening anytime soon. But is it a possibility? Is the possibility of Dante Danchenzo one day returning to the Knicks on the table? Given all of the comments by Danchenzo, I gotta say absolutely yes. He misses the fans, still considers the Knicks family, and he still talks to many Nick players and many Nick staffers. That to me tells me that Dante Devenenzo, his heart has not fully left New York. A part of it, a piece of it has still remained with the city. And shout out to channel sponsor FanDuel, America’s number one sports book, for giving us this updated information and these latest odds on which team is supposed to win the Atlantic division this season. And as you can see, the New York Knicks are still the clear favorites at minus 180. After them, the 76ers are right behind them at plus 390. Then you have the Boston Celtics at plus 600. Then the Raptors at plus,100. Then you have the Brooklyn Nets rounding out this list at plus 25,000. Yes, that’s right. And that is not a typo. It is clear without a doubt. The Atlantic division is the Knicks to win or lose. It is all up to them because the odd makers in Vegas clearly favor them to win this division. If the Knicks want to win the Atlantic Division, they need to continue to play the exact same way they have been over the last few games. Lock in as a team. Play together as a team. Keep moving the ball. Keep playing team defense. Go out and attack in transition. Attack the rim. Attack the basket. Get to the free throw line. But even more than that, shoot when you are open. When you’re generating all of these open threes, shoot them. Even if you miss, shoot them because if they’re open, you got to take them. You must take them. Open threes. No matter how many times you take them, eventually they’re going to start going down. We saw that when the Knicks took on the Wizards, and I promise you, the same thing will happen when New York takes on the Minnesota Timberwolves. They’ve been playing very good basketball as of late, including Julius Randall, who at times out there looks like an allstar. Now, obviously this is without Ant-Man in the lineup, and maybe once he returns things change a little bit, but as of right now, Julius Randall is playing like that guy. He is playing like an all-star. Tomorrow night’s game is not going to be a cakewalk. If the Knicks want to win this game against the Timberwolves, they’re going to have to treat every quarter like it was the third quarter against the Washington Wizards. You know what I’m talking about. Great defense, consistent defense, ball movement, attacking inside, moving that ball all around until you get to an open shooter or an open cutter. If the Knicks play like that, it doesn’t matter who they’re taking on. New York playing at that level, they can go toe-to-toe with any team. Minnesota, you better be ready tomorrow night because the Knicks are ready to take another victory and add to their win column. We are undefeated at MSG right now. And the Knicks, they’re going to look to continue that tomorrow night against the Wolves. But what about you guys? What do you think about Dante Danchenzo and his surprising comments about returning to the Knicks and MSG? He calls the Knicks family. He says that the fans are very important to him still. And he also said that many players and former staffers he still remains in contact with. Let me know how you feel about that in the comments section below, guys, because honestly, I would love to hear from you. But that’s going to do it for this episode. I hope you enjoyed it, and if you did, go ahead and smash that like button, leave a comment below, and of course, guys, please subscribe to the channel. Until next time, Nick fans, take care of yourself, your families, and each other. Peace and
