The Steelers lack of trade deadline activity is actually a good thing. We’ve already sold out enough for this season, everyone knows this is not our year so why sell out any more than we have.
Trading for a solid WR would’ve cost us draft capital and Omar has shown exceptional drafting ability.
This team is clearly gearing up for the future, our vets aren’t getting any better, just older and slower.
We are one of the oldest rosters in the NFL, we need to focus on rebuilding a youthful foundation before we make any more splash trades.

Mans gotta have a code.
Not our year??? WE JUST BEAT THE COLTS.
If you have a drake maye or Jordan love… That makes sense… Otherwise you might as well try to win now while you have a quarterback temporarily.
Building for the future doesn’t make sense without a QB. You can stockpile picks but if you miss on that QB, it doesn’t matter… You just wasted the picks.
No one wants to admit this, but you’re right. If the asking price isn’t equivalent to what you think the player is worth then don’t make the trade it’s that simple. Clearly Khan had conversations but he wasn’t comfortable with the going rate for the guys he was interested in. And let’s be honest here after last year’s deadline and the upcoming draft being in Pittsburgh, I’m sure he was hesitant if not outright told to be stingy on picks offered in trades.
It’s much smarter to stand pat than make trades to make trades. If you can’t agree on a fair deal, leave it and let someone else meet the asking price it’s as easy as that.
No, we are good and I hope it true.
Yeah we are not a WR2 away from competing unless we can play like we did last week at a fairly consistent level, which the last few years have shown us we probably won’t be doing that. We really need DB help right now
I don’t think it’s inherently good that they couldn’t improve the team.
But it’s good they didn’t go all-in with 9-10 suited and a flop showing A-K.
If the organization thought this wasn’t a year to try and compete then why bring in Rodgers, Slay, and trade for Ramsey? To keep Tomlin’s non losing record streak intact? I hope that wasn’t the goal.
They are 5-3, leading the division, and just beat the team in the league with the best record.
The organization has just failed to bring in a legit WR2. They might have thought Wilson or CA would move into that role but they just havent been good enough. They needed to bring someone in, and MVS isnt the solution to that problem.
Our TE depth chart is incredible. Forget the WR trades for this season and keep utilizing those huge ass pass catchers.
It’s impossible for Khan to receive criticism here… crazy to spin the same lethargic deadline as a positive.
They aren’t legit Super Bowl contenders so why waste draft picks. We all know this. Have we all lost our minds about the team? They are going to be 1-2 games around .500. Same as it ever was.
They made all there stupid moves early. Trading Minka and Pickens.
