Nico building the team around Luka, including signing a historically elite shooter who can’t create his own shot, and then trading Luka and being surprised the rest of the players are way worse without him is… stupid feels like an understatement
Being a supportive father is what brought Kobe out. Gigi said her favorite players were Luka and Trae Young.
Kobe and Gigi also attended a Hawks game to watch Trae Young just a few weeks before the Mavs game.

Luka challenged his power dynamic and Nico didn’t want anyone there who challenged his authority. It was heading in this direction anyway, he started firing anyone it seems got someone close to.
It appears he didn’t want Cuban there either.
What a sad scenario for such a pretty good team before trying to adjust things but in the end he really screwed things up.
