Uh, I mean it felt like a pretty physical game. Yeah, we we we from their end. We just didn’t have it tonight. Um, you know, you can see it early. Thought we could play through it. They never did. We were late on everything. Um, I thought their energy, their quickness, uh, their physicality took us out of the game. Um, so give them credit. I thought they were very well prepared. When it comes to Giannis, he only took six free throws tonight. Now you kind of pulled him a little bit early, but there were a few times there where he got frustrated with the physicality. What What happens in those? No, no, no. You mean there’s a few times he got fouled and they didn’t call it. Um there’s nothing you can do about it. You know, Giannis is not going to change. He’s going to keep playing the same way. Uh plays, you know, the one thing with Giannis and and that’s why he’s such a treasure. He doesn’t complain very often. So I always tell officials like if if that guy’s complaining, you’re probably doing something wrong. uh because he plays through hits, contacts all the time, gets hit all the time, rarely says anything. Uh but when you see that he’s frustrated, that means it’s probably happening more. Um but that’s just part of the game and he’s just going to keep playing. But give him credit, right? Really, I thought, you know, we played last night, they didn’t. They were sitting here waiting for us, but more importantly, they just played the right way the entire game. Um, so I I actually think when you watch their improvement from this year to to uh last year, uh, they’re doing a great job over there. Coach really got those guys buying in and uh, so give them a lot of credit. Uh, co, you you were mentioning a moment ago like the physicality, uh, maybe some calls that uh, some falls that went called. Uh, do you feel not just in this game but in general in the league, Dariska been allowing more physicality? Yeah, you know, it it’s night to night. You know, actually fouls are up um this year, which I don’t like. I would rather have us play less fouls, you know, overall. Uh but they’re just right now I think fouls are up then you will get a game where there’s no calls. So, it’s just been inconsistent right now. Um I think we’ll all catch up and figure it out though. I’m not concerned by it. Yeah. And to follow up on the question and also about kind of defense last year one of your principles it was like you didn’t want the two bigs to to rotate ahead of the season. What are the defensive principles that you are trying to implement regarding the the two bigs? Uh well tonight we had no principles. We scored 128 points. Um but overall same thing. Uh not as much you know last year we wanted our bigs to be low man 90% of the time. They helped each other. Uh now when we have coups at three or bigger guy, we can we added another guy to help us. So um we last three games we’ve not been very good defensively and we have to get that fixed. Thanks guys. Thank you.

  2. Against teams like this I'd at least give Sims a shot or stagger Myles minutes or something. Bobby ain't doing much on defense (or offense tonight for that matter), so it's like it's up to Kuzma to be our big man for the bench unit against this fast oversized team.

  3. Freak is getting manhandled and abused and this guy is talking about how much physical they were. lol stop crediting the other team and stand up for your guys. Bucks shouldn’t be bottom in the league in free throws with Giannis on the team. Someone has to speak up about this or at least man up and take a fine. It’s pathetic

  7. Just a bad beat on the night of a back to back. Portis has to get it going, he's been pretty awful this year so far. He was our energy guy off the bench for the past 5 years. Seems like age is catching up though, even last year I felt like his game was declining already. I'm not a big fan of Kuz, but Kuz is actually out playing Bobby. And if Kuz isn't doing much offensively, at least his defensive effort has been good this year. We might have to start shopping Portis around. Hate to say it, because he's such a fan favorite & has fully embraced MKE. But he's our 4th highest paid player while playing like the 9th best player.

  13. Not a great game, but I'm not too worried. I think that we're still very early and I understand why Doc wants to run the all bench lineup for so long in the 2nd quarter (if those guys can get it figured out, that would be huge) and dropping a game to a raptors team that's really shown themselves to be significantly better than last year is great. Very difficult to defend when good defenders like Gary Trent and AJ Green are getting called for the most minor of contact. Not saying the refs lost us this game, but it does change how the game is played. The 3pt % was abysmal but that's kind of what this team is going to have to deal with – can't be hit every night, and the nights you arent you'll likely lose. True for any team that relies so heavily on the 3pt. Love Bobby but he's struggling a lot to fit into this new version of the team and our new identity.

  14. Back to back or not we have some rough weeks ahead. Need KPJ to run the 3 guard line up with Giannis and Turner. It's concerning to score 135 and lose to Sacramento, then to squeak out a win against a depleted Indiana team, and then get blown out by Toronto. At some point if a team has somebody big at the 3 we need more Kuzma out there. Maybe that's kind of hard because he's so important to the second unit as somebody who is big and can drive. And maybe they're worn out by the pace they're trying to play at. This is the first game they out right lost, where they could have been undefeated to this point as Sac was winnable and Cleveland was winnable. But you could flip that coin the other way and the only team that didn't have a chance at the end to beat the Bucks was the Wizards and we could be 1 and 6 going into the game. I don't know who this team is yet, but they're not what they were last year when KPJ was out there with GT, AJ, and Giannis. That's concerning. Giannis was hilarious grabbing Barnes shorts while driving.

  16. Doc you can't start AJ green because he's foul prone, takes him out of the game. Teams are hunting him. Put Kuzma back in starting lineup it will help your rebounding. Love Myles Turner but he's not a good rebounder. I see why Indiana was hesitant to pay him big bucks. And is there anyway we can trade Portis?

  20. If Bucks are going to be a high 3pt team then they are going to have nights where the shooting is off and they lose. They shot 28% and only attempted 38 shots. They really need to be shooting closer to 50 and getting 40% to land. But the problem is the bench is not as comfortable shooting 3s. They either don't take the shot or they miss too much. Get them to work of 3pt confidence.
