Zayne Parekh sits as a healthy scratch as Yan Kuznetsov makes season debut

  1. Nothing like watching Weegar and Andersson turn over pucks and miss coverage from the press box. That’s how you learn.

  2. Excited to see Kuzy at this level. Could be a perfect pairing for Parehk down the road.

  3. Brutal management of our top prospect.

Why are we trying to get him to play neutered low event hockey and sitting him whenever he makes a mistake.

Rasmus and Weegar have been making non-stop mistakes.

  4. just a reminder that in his rookie season Leo Carlsson was a healthy scratch 20+ times strategically to teach him the game and give him some rest. He know has 18 points in 12 games. Zayne is a 19 year old rookie defenceman at the NHL level, i’m going to trust that the coaching staff know what they’re doing.

  5. Ah yes scratch him after having him miss a bunch of time. That’s going to get him the reps and time. Change the winning line up again.

  6. I don’t know why this is a hard concept for some to understand. Especially with how fast the game moves. A fraction of a second, zigging when you should’ve zagged, turning right instead of left…then poof, your prospect’s knee is demolished and there goes his career along with any collective hope for the franchise. The kid is learning, no doubt. No reason to put him in more than his fair share of potentially messed up situations in a tank season.

  7. There is zero reason to run Parekh out there nightly when opposing players were targeting him. The kid is 19 and he needs to put on size. What they are doing w Parekh is exactly the right call.
