Shota Imanaga and Bo Bichette potential Mets targets? | Baseball Night in NY
Is Andy, Emma Naga has a Mets
Target. You feeling it. Well, I, you could have asked that for
Mets and Yankees, but I think right now, he’s slots in
something that would probably be not inexpensive, but a
reasonably priced mid rotation alternative. For both clubs the
Yankees. After the colors, word own injury are going to be
looking for some rotation insurance and of course, the Mets have a lot
of needs in the rotation, so I would expect both teams to go
sniffing around that guy. Yeah, I’d agree with you, Andy.
I’d the one thing I would say is to what, what do the Cubs who
presumably know him better than anybody else now, because
they’ve had them. Why did they handle it? This
maybe they watch them pitch. He got them. I mean, he was great as first year and I
know he had some struggles last year, but he still had like
a 37 Tiara. I know that doesn’t tell every single bit of
the story of his pitching but, you know, I mean pitching
is pretty Precious cell and the Cubs said, bye-bye, to a
reasonably priced starter. So what does that mean? West. He’s also entertaining. So
I like that aspect of it as well. Alright Brian how Michael
King is here fit for the Yankees. You feeling it. Absolutely, I think there’s a
lot of people in the Yankee. Organization would love to get
their hands back on Michael King, they didn’t, but never
want to let him go in the first place, but he was part of the
price to pay to get Juan Soto and that worked out pretty well
because the Yankees lineup in the World Series. So yeah, this
is their chance here. King, the asking price might have come
down a little bit because of injury he’s certainly still going to
get a good decent offer out there on the market. So but
considering you have rode on as you mentioned Gerrit, Cole isn’t Do back to start the year Clark
Schmidt’s on the I owe. Ya Fitz Boba Fett and he feeling it
for the Mets, I am feeling it. Sell, I know that’s a little
bit unorthodox. They already have a shortstop, I
don’t look at him as a shortstop anymore. I don’t, I’m
not sure that the industry does either, but I see him as a
second base fit for the Mets. As a guy who sort of diversifies
the lineup a little bit, hit 311 last year. He’s a
gutsy clutch player with a little
Flair to him. He’s got some pop as well. You know. Look go ahead and Go
to your your, your depth chart of prospects at
home. That could keep up on your wall that, you know, the
gold. We can’t get somebody for this position because we’ve got
these three prospects coming. I get it. I get it but they can
use them as collateral in potential deals. Going
forward here. And Bo bichette fits in nicely to me as as kind
of a splash move for the Mets with a little bit of a lineup.
Sweetener there, I like it. I like looking at my bedroom
wall. Very nice. I like to Splash move
that concept of that. I like the bat, I like the
player. The reason I I would be less expecting the mess to do.
It would be to run, prevention in that we’ve talked about
before. I think you’re going to see more
of a Louis and heliconia type of second base for that
team. I think they want to really have a suit and if you
look at the Brewers, if you look at what Stearns prefers,
it’s really having an elite defensive middle of the diamond and I know he’s a better second
baseman please. Well presumably he’s a better second baseman
shortstop but I just think they’re going
to go with a real plus plus glove that if it’s Acuna it s,
which by the way, I love him and I’m okay with that, then it
better be somebody other than Vientos Arcadia. Third Base.
Like that’s the parameters here. You want to build defense
up the middle school for it? Then you better get some sticks everywhere. All
right, Brian. How about Quan Stephen Quan? I know. Last year,
I want to thank you, get him. What do you think of the
target for him? You feeling it? Fantastic Target. Yeah, I mean,
if the price is right, sure. I mean, for all the people who
complain about the Yankees and their built around a three-run
homer. This is a guy who puts the ball in play. Does not
strikeout plays Gold Glove caliber defense in the Outfield.
I mean, he is what you’re looking for and he makes
any team better but But there’s no reason the Guardians would
give him away for pennies on the dollar here he’s a
second-year arbitration eligible so he’s very
affordable. I don’t see them giving up on him cheaply. You’d
have to probably give up a top prospect at plus more but he
makes your team better. Yeah I love this idea for the
Yankees. I think this is exactly what they need. This
kind of switch to their offensive profile as well. We
got plenty of guys you can hit the ball out of the park as
we’ve seen repeatedly over the years here. This guy gets it
in play nice average. He’s also a premier Defender and he would play. A left field in a place
where you need a premier defender in Yankee Stadium. In
that left field, spacious left field. And I know we’ve had a so
much hand-wringing over. Jason Dominguez can’t play left
this guy can’t play left, get the guy who can play left.
So I agree with you Brian. It’s going to cost and it won’t make
the prospect hugger Yankee fan happy, but this is something
that the Yankees need to check out. There isn’t a more perfect
fit in all of baseball out there than Quan for the Yankees. They got
to figure out a way to get it done.

STEVEN KWAN FOR THE METS😫
Here comes the CLICKBAIT.
Bo Bichette makes all the sense in the world for the Mets.
Bichette makes no sense. Get a CF’er that can hit and has a glove. The rest?? Pitching, starters & pen.
Bring back Alonso and add bichette that’s the move
NO to imanaga
Brett Beatty is a future gold glove third baseman. If we trade him, we will be sorry.
Why do all you idiots are so happy about trading Brett Beatty. He’s not here to carry the team, but he’s a great third baseman
mets need to bring in imanaga and bo bichette in the 2025 mlb offseason
Not a chance in hell
If I'm the Mets..I'm getting rid of a lot of dead weight nothing personal..I'm going after pitching number one…I want one Japanese starter..and whoever might be available on jays.. figure out the closer and first base situation..and then fill in..I want Stearns to do his homework and really go after key players…no bargain basement or cheapness
