Two years ago, when I watched the Lightning, they appeared slow, uninterested, and sloppy. They did well because of all the obvious talent.
However, this season, even with the losses, they look fantastic. They are faster, and everything seems sped up. D’Astous has brought some energy to the team, and getting rid of some dead weight on defense has helped.
I’m just glad they seem to be playing to their potential. I don’t know what changed in the locker room, but last couple of years, I could feel the tension through the screen. I don’t see that anymore.
I’m not talking about stats, just the feel of the team. Do you see a difference this season?

For some guys, yes. For guys like Hedman, Point and Gonsalves, no. At least as of now. Vasy has been fantastic and the third line has been dominant. Also like Dominic James. He could be molded into something special.
