I would have said Jesse Chavez but remembered he finally hung it up this year.
Jagr play baseball too?
My fave Pirate !
Idk, but imma say Jaromir Jagr
Bartolo Colon?
Jagr
ME!
Idk that answer but I do have an autographed Orlando Merced baseball from May 4, 1994. Pirates lost to the Astros 7-2, but I picked up the foul ball.
I was there with my Dad. 6 weeks later, he died suddenly. When I went home for the funeral, went to another game and I took the ball with me. the Pirates won and Orlando was the star of the game. He hit a home run, and threw out a baserunner trying to score and another hit too I think.
After that game, I waited as a 36 year old after all the kids got his autograph. I was the last one and he asked the reason why I stayed around so I told him the story.
He said, “Wow, I’m sorry”. And signed the ball and then got into his car to go. I was an Orlando Merced fan ever since. Still have the signed ball and his Upper Deck card.
