NHL Highlights | Mammoth vs. Maple Leafs | November 05, 2025

He’s capable of four. Starting lineups are brought
to you by Molson. Molson. Everyone in Leaf looking for a better start. They’ve given up the first
goal in six straight. They have trailed in eight consecutive games. Circuit across one-time. Easy
pickings. Across it goes. Nate Smith shot bounces to the side of the net. Here’s Logan Culie back
and a shot on goal from the six most shots on goal and they’re second best in shots against. So they
are playing well at the moment. But here’s Max Doy a backhand and he has points in each of his last
seven. He’s got it again. The key contributor in the comeback win against Pittsburgh and Matthews
with a shot with 18.8 per game. They almost got capitalized on that one. Nick Wah along the
boards. It’s kept in at the line. Rick W. It goes to JJ Burka. Puts it right on. Burka heard some
booze last night in his first return to Buffalo. They didn’t even give him a video tribute, which
I know uh you’re not too concerned about it. I don’t think he is either. Here’s Nick W into Utah
ice. W battling behind the net getting some help from Joshua. It comes loose from Achelli. He’ll
play it back to Philip Meyers. Meyers incoming. Manek turns that away. Got tied up there with
the referee and Kyler Yamamoto turns back. Kevin Stland in the middle. He’ll get it back from Tan.
Stland in and Stonewall has got that back down inside the Utah line. Max Doy chasing after it.
Here’s Scott Lton. Doby forcing a turnover and a chance in front for Lorent. And Steven Lorent
with an opportunity to break the ice for the Leafs in his first game back and you get a good
scoring chance from your fourth line. McBain over the line. Carone sends it on goal. Philip Meyers
collects and a great lead feed. Tracking certainly for a lot higher this season in what is a tough
central division. Here’s Tvarz and he rigs that off the post. Another shot that the last few weeks
about the John Tamaris in his preparation. Here’s another example of it. Watch how quickly bats
it out of midair. Turns quickly and gets that shot away. You don’t just do that naturally.
You work on that time and time again. Plays it back towards Circ. But Keller takes it away from
him. Kellard curls from the corner in front. False stop. That’s a tough save by just getting back
there so quickly. It looked like it was going to be a twoon-one chance and it was taken away with
his speed. Now lead feed the knander. Tvaris out of the block fires that good strong chip for 81
McCabe. Machelli great move to the slot across and Vanichek with a stop off Riley. Knocked down
by Mermis. That’s out of the reach of Cole and here’s a twoon one maybe threeon one McMahon and
Tamaris. B. Stopped by Vanichek. Nice setup there. Carlo dashing back. Lawson Crow on him. Put it in
front. Scores. Was it Crow? Was it Carone? Carone with the final touch. And once again, the Leafs
have given up the opening goal of the game. Well, and you you look at this game where all of a
sudden it opens up a little bit. Taken away by Cinev. Now just a simple little play and a play
by Carlo that gets taken away by Krauss and boy what a pass that no chance at all for Anthony
Stallars. You could see Morgan Riley think that Krauss was going to continue on to have given
up the first goal and the ninth consecutive game that they found themselves trailing and
into the final minute and a chance there for the great Borius solving ahead on that alltime
list. So one- nothing as we start the second period and here’s a circuit champ shot that
will stick to Stallars. It was a bad change there by the Mammoth and a good opportunity
to take advantage. Nick Robertson picked off a pass and a shot by Riley. Turned into the
corner by Vanichek. Here’s McMahon. Knocked down. Tavaris gets on it. Comes out of the
corner. Grabs it. Carlo and he sent that high. Carlos still looking for his first leaf
goal. Back it goes to Riley. Dumps it in front. Tvaris trying to get a stick on that. Working
at center. Tavaris got position on Cam. Here’s Tvaris. Penalty panning. Loose puck in front. Land
scores. He’s got another. And the lead tied it. And all that Utah is trying to do is just get
a hold of a puck. Taris does a great job of keeping it alive and then nice just chips it over.
Manichek tries to close the gap there for Knander. Watch the patience by Knander. The thingy. It’s
an eightgame point streak. It’s unofficial because he’s missed games. This is due to injury. Here’s
a blast. It’s turned aside as Carlo Yamamoto drops it back. Gets it back. Here comes the former Oiler
Kyler Yamamoto across and Stolars got across. And finally Utah able to clear. I like the defense
being aggressive there. You got the MFD running around a little bit. Keep that pressure on. Force
them to maybe get hemmed in. And now you got some fresh bodies out there. Here’s the chance. Matthew
scores. What a blast. What a set up by Machelli in three straight. And there’s that pressure
again. Doesn’t allow Utah to make a change. You get three fresh bodies out on the ice and
it’s Machelli with just great patience there. Held on. You always love the point from the guy who
scores. And as soon as Matthews takes the shot, look at right to Machelli. Great read, good
patience. And that looks like the last three goals as you said in three games. That’s just
such a great sign. And those kind of releases are exactly what you would expect from number 34. Here
the other way goes Purka. Puki in front and stools across is offside. It’s going to be a one-timer.
A bad pinch in the neutral zone by Carlo creates the twoon one and sometimes that knuckler can even
fool you more. And watch the reaction of Stallars gets there and then the little they’ve done their
damage during the season and even strike chance for Sch Smith across Carone and that deflected in
front and Stlars able to cover went to Schmidt and it bounced over his blade back for Gunther. Dylan
Gunther works his way in. Stolars the stop swept into the blue paint by Dakota Mervvis. Penalty
done. Stopped by Stallars and back on the ice. 444 left here in the second. Shots are
1412 in favor of Utah. Make it 15. You’re not out there on the penalty kill. You
can’t wait to get back into the action. Give away plate back to Sichev. Scores. He’s had
a few from the point tonight. Then this one gets through and the game is tied. You just even
see some of the surprise for Serg. You can’t believe that one went through when it went in.
You could see Anthony Stolar is just looking skyward. And this one is Did he knock it off? He
just missed it. I mean, the screen in front of him really wasn’t there. Surgv just a hard
shot that it went right through everybody. The penalty done. You could
hear Stler whacking the stick, but maybe a chance here. But Jelly in across
Robertson. Stop by Vichek and a second chance as well. Then he lost control. A snap pass
across and Robertson with the best chance. Tried to go rink wide. That hit got there. So
Ecman Larson will get it in. Bobby McMahon on that right clank. Robertson in support
and in front scores. John Tvaris 51. And that’ll feel better than the one a week
ago in Columbus. You know, simple hockey, as Craig Barubi says, a dump in a hardcore check
by Bobby McMahon. A good effort to get the puck in front. And like he does so well, this is
where John Tamarus has had so much success in that inner slot. A bouncing puck goes right over
the defender stick and get a leaf change if that puck is still round on. There is a lot of hacking
and whacking and that to try to get a hold of it. Joshua tipped that in just a stride too far for
Machelli. Here’s Joshua again front. Machelli scores Machelli and that will feel good for the
forward his whole team to put him back in and he’s given the coach a payoff. Keeps this play alive
from behind the net. Good battle there by Joshua. He’s had a really good game. And Joshua makes that
play. Has his head up the whole way. Makes the tape to tape pass. with a little hesitation and
pass the blocker there through a crowd in front. Another dumped in puck circuit a goal scorer
tonight. Here’s Schmaltz to Keller the overtime hero last night for Kulie. An uplet for Knander
up ahead. Natthews with him and N will score the defensive play. Watch the attack there.
Good act of stick. Take the body and one little backhand outlet pass creates this whole
scenario. And that that’s just excellent defending using your stick, using your body,
and having the composure to just find William Knander in the middle. You know, you have
to be a little concerned on the back end if you’re the Leaf coaches. Okay, what are
we going to get out of those two? And they haven’t had to hide them. They they’ve been able
to play. Here’s a chance. And there’s one back. Gunther and an announcer’s curse as you
just say. They haven’t had to hide them. They got caught watching a little bit and that
creating that opening. Watch just a little bit of a missed assignment. I I I think Meyers
thought the forward was going to come back and go with him and instead Machelli just let him
go and you can’t let this kid in all alone. Man, he just look at the calmness there. Watch
him pull open up the five hole. Just slides it along the ice. The Leafs over the last few
years have been terrific in November and they will be 3 and 0 in November as this one comes to a
close. It’s a 53 final lead over the Mammoth here

  1. Tavares and Nylander seem even better than ever this year. My hopes are going up on the Leafs ? Annnnd, there's a hell of a goal by Matthews . . . etc !

  2. Finnally the boys are playing physical, using their size to their advantage. Playing like Florida the past two years and just bullying teams physically
