The Buffalo Sabres lost 2-1 in overtime to the Utah Mammoth on November 4, 2025. After a scoreless two periods, Utah got on the board first with a goal by Nick Schmaltz. The Sabres got one back on a rebound by Noah Ostlund shortly after. This was Ostlund’s first NHL goal. The game headed to overtime where Clayton Keller won it for the Mammoth. Goaltender Alex Lyon made 32 saves in the matchup.
