Angels to listen to trade offers for Adell or Ward

It might make sense to move Ward if they can get something good.
Adell isn’t worth enough to move. Keep him around for next season and see if he has a real breakout and then go from there.
Hard to see either of them go, but I’d trade Ward if I had to choose one. I feel like the upside on Adell is just too good considering how much he’s improved already – I want to see where he can go. Plus Ward is already on the wrong side of 30.
Ward has one year of team control remaining. Adell has two. However, if I’m not mistaken, service time will continue to accrue even during a lockout. If Adell has considerably more trade value, then this offseason may be their only chance to move him for an optimal return. Ward could still be moved at the TDL as a rental.
Also, Adell is a Boras Corp. client, which means there is very little chance he extends. I don’t like the idea of extending Ward, but he might be more willing to take a short-term deal.

Trade both cmon how simple can it be?
What they really need to do is trade Soler. His bat & glove are not good, can’t run, clogs up the DH spot for Trout. Really there’s only cons for Soler. He must be moved if we want to get better.
Adell isn’t getting moved, doubt Perry moves a young controllable power bat. Ward seems more likely entering his final year.
Want to see Jo traded so he can get out from under this garbage runned franchise and actually develop properly. F-U Arte!
Unless Jo made it clear he doesn’t want to return or the org has made it clear they don’t want him, I cannot understand the reason to trade Jo.
A 26 year old who has improved the last 2 years? No idea why people clamor to trade him while in the same breath call Logan O’Hoppe the future lol

Phillies are looking to trade Bohm again and could use an outfielder, I think that could work out well.

It’s literally all about value. Trade whoever brings back the most value, which TODAY is likely Ward.
Ward is the better player, will cost ~$8M more in 2026, only has 1 year of control.
Adell is the younger player, will be cheaper, but also only has 2 years of control left (and could be extended if he improves since he’s still young).

There is no resemblance of a core that you can look at and say “in x amount of years, we can contend with those guys”, there is no championship window. I’m in the camp that believes the clock doesn’t start until we get a new owner and that’s not happening any time soon but that doesn’t mean we should continue pretending that we’re contenders LOL the fire sale is long overdue
I want to get rid of OHoppe, Chris Taylor, Kochanowicz, Lugo and Paris.
