Nov. 5: Postgame Interviews
Sher, from uh from your point of view, how’d this one get away from you guys tonight? Uh just the competitive level, simple. Uh we don’t compete and battle uh in this league and you’re going to get your butts kicked most nights and um it’s happened uh way too many nights uh over and over again. and until we uh you know show up to the rank and compete for for one another and for your teammate um then we’ll start getting results. Monte had talked about you guys were building something. How do you let a setback like tonight not derail that? Well, at the end of the day um that’s about as disappointing of loss you can have after finally getting a win. So, uh at the end of the day, a quick turnaround. Um, you know, we have to have a short memory in this league and and at the end of the day, we have to go and and go to Buffalo and and you know, play for one another first and foremost and and uh start with that and and uh you know, hope the results come after that. Colton, from uh from your view, how’d this one get away from you guys tonight? I mean, I don’t know. Obviously didn’t think we started off great and then in the second they they came out had a strong second got got up a few goals there and um but yeah obviously not not the uh results we want and um just got to make sure that we we uh turn this into a positive direction here. The uh second period you guys outshot him but was it the quality of chances you were given up there? Uh, I mean I I guess I can’t really I don’t know exactly um just being in the game. Sometimes it’s hard to kind of read and react of how exactly went. Sometimes the eye test is a little different than the game, but obviously um yeah, some of their goals were right around the net and things like that. But um like I said, it’s it’s on our group in here to to respond uh to get better. Obviously another another game tomorrow. So um yeah, there’s there’s no excuses. We got to be better as a group and um there I have no doubt that we will. We’re all competitive guys in here. Um we’re a great team and looking uh Yeah. Monty had said the last few days that you guys have been building something. Your collective team was getting better. How do you avoid getting dejected after a um setback? Yeah, like you said, it’s it’s definitely a step back and I don’t know, hopefully obviously a quick turnaround for tomorrow is is going to be beneficial with with a quick game coming tomorrow and under 24 hours obviously and um just just get back and just play our style of hockey, play the way that we can and um just just start building our game. Monty, from uh from your view, how’d that one get away from you? from the drop of the puck. We got the puck 10 feet before the red line in the first five seconds of the game and we iced it. We weren’t ready to play. We weren’t ready to start on time and we got worse after the first period. I was going to ask you about the second period. You guys outshot the Capitals but had four goals against. Was it just quality of chances you were given up there or something else? It was um a lack of compete, a lack of defending uh the front of our net and too loose with the puck. Goal kind of set off the arena a little bit. Do you think that had anything to do with second period for you guys? I think it had a lot to do with their success. Um for us, we didn’t handle the moment well enough. That’s for sure. Um my hat and congratulations go off. It’s amazing feat. 900 goals in this league. Never thought I mean just saying it. I never thought you someone would say that. So, what an amazing athlete and just a tremendous individual for the game of hockey. He’s made the game great. Monte, how do you uh how do you keep spirits high in a tough stretch like this and keep guys from getting dejected when they were building something? Yeah. Um well, this is unacceptable tonight. It’s that simple. We We have to dig in and um starting tomorrow morning when we wake up, have a good skate tomorrow and get ready to play the Sabres tomorrow night and show up for our fans, our city, and our owners.

These guys don’t care if they win or lose, and losing is easier so that’s what they do!
It's simple. We are not good enough and not as good as the other teams. I can hardly stand to watch you guys. I turned this game after goal #3. Win a GD faceoff in your own zone once in awhile and clear the damn puck out. I hate when you guys make that overrated big OAF Ovechkin look good.
We have NO DEFENSE!!!
Every year, “we need to play for each other” “we need our top players to be our top players”, “we’re not starting on time.” We have no leadership. Schenn can’t do it on his own. Trade Schenn Kyrou buchnevich or parayko to make a splash. Get us another 1st for next year and shake up this team so maybe some new leadership is sparked.
I knew the score before the game even started. That’s how low my expectations are for this team now. I was honestly shocked we even got one. This team is unwatchable at this point and that’s honestly the first time I’ve ever felt that way as a Blues fan
This was like men against boys, anyone can see the extreme talent difference…..Not only no talent, but even worse no fight…..Disgraceful
Another embarrassing loss here we go again
GET YR SHIT TOGETHER!
Have some freaking pride. Good God, you all make tons of money to perform, and this is how you do it
My 10-year-old niece she plays on a hockey team and they have more will to win then these St. Louis Blues.
this team is playing with no passion, no heart, it's disgraceful, these players have no balls, it's that simple
Thomas and kyrou both have the ability to go end to end and score. Do they ever try no not once. Paranko will fight in the Olympics for his team that he played 10 games on but won't fight for the team and city that he's played for for years instead he will let schenn do it and I know schenn is the captain but cmon buchnevich is a waste of 8 million a year can't hit the net when he shoots from 5 feet and don't even get me started on our defense it's a freaking joke a bad one what an embarrassing team
Maybe they need a new voice behind the bench to get them ready to play
Yall have turned it around before. Do it again.
Monty, in any sport ive played we would have had to run until we puked and ejaculated at the same time if we took an L where the players on the team say 'we all just arent competing' or whatever he said.
YO SCHENN, DROP THE GLOVES AT PRACTICE AND HEM YOUR OWN GUYS UP, EH? OR AT LEAST COME BEAT THE SHITE OUTTA ME INSTEAD OF THE TEAM THAT SHOWED UP TO PLAY. PROMISE I WANNA BE MORE UNCONSCIOUS THAN THEM RIGHT NOW. KAY? LOVE YOU, BYE!!!💙
"We didn't compete"
-what we hear 9 out of 10 post game interviews.
but hey let's keep tinkering with the 4th line that will fix it.
Shortest postgame interview ever
Obvious reasons
Parayko sounds like he is on the verge of tears
4min post game interview
Monty we gotta play for our fans city and owners
I feel bad for the owners tbh
This game was WORSE if I didn't already say…than the game I attended in Columbus in 2023 where Berube was fired days later
Speaking of firing…the idiots who think Monty is on the hot seat….nah
Our leaders suck…and this time I'm not gonna baby Kyrou
Although I'm NOT saying he was the reason for this game
Ijs none of them are in the room with us
Poor Monty. Him and schenner had the right words. No compete. And absolutely unacceptable. After that kind of game you can’t talk about rosy tales in how the team is building. You played so well against Edmonton. And then laid the biggest egg of all tonight. A messy loss would be one thing. But the utter lack of effort I witnessed tonight says this group doesn’t want it enough. We’ve fired 2 coaches to try and address that. So now it’s on the players to look in the mirror and figure out how badly they actually want it.
I'm done with Jordan Kyrou, no effort every damn game. I don't care if he has a no trade clause. He deserves to be miserable just like the fans, he'll go eventually.
Really sucks being a STL sports fan these days… sick and tired is an understatement…
Bad game plan, terrible effort, piss poor attitudes. It's a total shit show
Genuine suggestion, bring in a sports psychologist. Players don’t regress this dramatically in a vacuum. It’s mental and social. They need to work through some stuff. Hopefully that doesn’t take the form of a locker room fight, but it worked in 2019.
monty looks pissed as he should be
You guys just all suck really need to stop the post game catch ups sick of hearing the babies who get paid millions to play beer league hockey this whole team is a disgrace
Fans are so tired of this shit
This team looks like they haven’t had dinner together, and if they have, it’s probably steamed chicken salad.
Nobody salivating for a juicy steak except WALKER
They need to throw all their sticks in a barrel and burn them and dance around in their jock straps like who gives a F and go nuts for the rest of the year
