NHL Highlights | Blackhawks vs. Canucks – November 5, 2025
in the day. He was a hard-nosed rock solid defenseman, that’s for sure. Fourth coach head coach for the Conucks the last five seasons. This one’s underway. It’s the top line against the top line. Bard’s line out there against Marsh Baines bumps it back into his own zone. Gets the pass down the wing with speed trying to get around Renzel. Baines in front. Stopped by Knight. Renzel pulls over his own goalender. Puck winds up in the corner. Here’s Baines driving wide. First time that Spencer Knight was tested. Nazar can’t get the puck out. Here’s Besser. Shoots. Save. Rebound. Put line by def. Good stop by Knight on that first shot by Besser with the pad. And the Hawks finally settle it down. Should have a chance to get it out as Vassic skates the center ice in this period. Lumps the puck down. Tied up by Hughes. Makes a play into the corner now to Burkovski in front. And a shot by Green is turned away by Lan. And what a chance there on the setup from Burkovsky. And Green. That close. Boards down low all the way around. That’ll come off the boards now to Connor Murphy. Works it in behind to Toddusi. Put it in front off Nazar off a skate off the goalie. Lanken and down and he’s able to cover off as that pinballs around. Lank and hangs on. Fell pumps his man as he’s in a battle with Lenus Carlson back to the line of Meyers long shot. Knight finds and rebound turns that away too. First shot came through traffic and then the second one by Carlson was shut down as well. Doc gets the puck. Here comes Bard. He might have a breakaway. Conor Bernard right in put in the back hand. Great chance there for Bernard who got in partially home free and Latu looks like he’s okay back on the ice for the Conucks. Lean off. Bernard gathering speed carries in. Connor Bernard trying to break through. Got the puck on goal length and it fights it off here. So he’s doing everything he can to snap that thing back to his own teammates. He loses this one. Tier two is underway as Garland makes a pass to the far side. Evander Kane puts it on goal. Knight feeds it over. Bumps it back. Nobody home and that forces Rel up to center ice. Hughes turning. Lucas Rel. The former Hawk right in. Step by Knight. Turns Rel aside and a break from the blue line and keeps this one goalless. Classic racing over to it. Good play to McN. Picked off. Pardon me. Here’s Garland right in. Stop by Knight. Not the left pal. Gar with the steal. Knight had to make a terrific save. Busy and good in Vancouver. We approach the 8minute mark of the second in front to Kane. He put it off the post. He walked to the side of the goal. Another shot turned aside and that deflects out a play and a Hawks finally get a break. Return pass picked up off the boards. Heronic from the circle shoots. Stopped by Knight. He’s knocked over in the crease as a snow angel is in right there. Spins into the paint. He clearly pushes Spencer Knight down. There’s the cross check into his chest. Spencer’s down. He feels the puck underneath them. Tries to keep it there after he did get pushed down. After the coach’s challenge, determined that there was goalender interference. No goal. What happened tonight seemed a lot more obvious in that one. through the neutral zone. Puck played in deep and keeper Sherwood’s up on the forche. Passes back. There’s some room there. That deflected kick save by Knight. Rebound clear it out. Renzel lost that to the Vancouver zones off the end boards. Bertusi gets the loose puck. Tyler Matusi. Here’s Grizzl by Murphy on a setup by Grizzl. Let’s go out there and have our best period. Make it easy on him and get out of here with two points. Bernard against Deas Pattered and Bernard wins the draw as Garland and Green were going at it on the wing. Puck played in deep. Plays the puck to the far corner. Ma trying to get there. Hassling Ratu makes a play to Donado. Feeds it back to big Lou Krebier with a shot. It’s off a stick in traffic in front. They chop away late and a big save off Mauzi on the puck. Hawks keep it in the zone. Pass to Felino. Just out of his reach, but he tips it down low to Doc. Pass back to the line of Murphy. Fed across. Grizzlike. Works it down the boards. Throws it in front. They score. It gets between the pads of Lanken from a sharp angle. Might be Grizzlick’s goal. And the Hawks open the scoring early in the third. This was zipped across to the backside. You can see the Blackhawks starting to control the puck along the boards and yellow in the offensive zone. Simple little play down the boards. Grizzly goes, throws it. Yes. And we talked about at the start of the game about being one of the best. And is it a kicking motion or is he just turning his feet? I think he just turned his foot. Well, I’m going to say that as well, but we’ll see if the Vancouver Conucks coaching staff and video coaches think the same thing. He turned his foot to kind of try to stop it. There was a try with the big unit, but Connor got back to get a stick on Burkovski with a shot and that was blocked off a leg. Burkovsky gets it back. makes a play to Termin. Here’s Levanov passing over but Art sets up. Passed in fronti again back door. There he is. The human backboard gets another one and it’s two nothing Hawks. I love the human backboard now. That’s going to be the name that we’re going to have to call in the rest of the year. But it it’s uh Tyler Bertusi’s place that’s for sure in a way. And here’s Connor. And now that he knows what pass to Oh, what a pass is right. And Bertusi’s been disappearing away from the goender. Goalender has to respect that shot. He’s got no chance to be able to recover and be able to get his pad over to that side of the net on a play that’s made like that. That is the McK with a steal. Try to get it back to Denal. He finds Moore instead to McKay from behind the net. Oliver Moore got it in front. The camp on the trigger. They score. Maya the former Kuck finds the loose puck. He goes top shelf. Three nothing Hawks. Well, this is how you play when you got a lead. You get the puck in the offensive zone to play defense. You can see the for check on Hughes here. Both MV and Dado on it. McKay with that great stick picks it off and Oliver Moore comes to work and help out down low. You can see Oliver Moore working below the goal line. He sees the Blackhawks have two players at the net front. Gets the puck there. Donado gets the first touch at it and it bounces over to McKay who is ready to get a quick wristster off and see Donado kind of knocks it over to their three-goal lead. Smart play better move. Put it deep. Short shifts. Stay fresh. Donado waits for Bertusi to tag up. Little stop down low and pass to Kremier in front. Here’s Bratusi for the hattick. He shoots. He scores. shot over hat trick goal and it’s 4 nothing Hawks Burke jumping on a loose puck he patient he waits gets like it out of the net and there’s a few hats on the ice we got blackhawk fans big Vancouver throwing their head jerseys in the crowd and a lot of fans headed to the exits with that goal by Tyler Bertusi Tyler Bertusi with three goals in this period two the same way and one a little bit Yeah. You see I love the puck to the net, right? He’s in a great spot. Pushed to the boards by Meyers. And now it’s Joseph skating out. Jake de Bruss down the wing. Joseph goes to the front of it. Oh, there’s a pass. It’s deflected away. Knight might have got a piece of it. Renzel was there too. Plays up. He won battles along the boards and certainly created a lot of energy and offense off of those chances. Extended his point streak to six games. Here comes Ratu on the attack with a shot. Scores. two one and the tracks get on the board. The reason was 0 with Spencer Knight. You can see Leonov down there. No need to be pinching at this point of the game. Puck gets by him and here comes the wrister that beats Spencer to the blocker side. The 43rd shot of the game. Really nothing Blic could do with that straight two-on-one. gets over to try to force the shot and Ratu is able to get one up and underneath the crossbar. Back to the blue line across to Hughes. Two minutes left in the third and this goes Kane with a shot that finds the back of the net with a minute 59 to go and the CS with a spark of life. Have a great chance to get an empty netter. And a lot of times when you don’t, you miss that chance. He goes back your way and this is just a one-timer and kind of out in the shot block lane but kind of not as the Blackhawks move forward and this one Kane walks into his third goal in two games. Kept it in but Felo doesn’t let him. Muscles the puck to center ice. Bernard shadowing Hughes. Makes a pass up to Elias Patterson. Puts one on goal. Mike makes the save and he’ll flip it out and he’ll flip it ahead. Bernard able to work it in with the empty net. Conor Bernard scores and that will erase any doubt with 58.6 to go. A two-point night for Bernard back in his hometown. And he signals right back to Spencer Knight for making that pass. And it’s 52 Hawks as he should get it to the neutral zone. And the play that Connor Bard makes on this spins it around behind his back to put it in front of him so he can go in on a clear empty net. But the thing the point I want to make about Connor Bard being on the ice for this one and the final 10 seconds winding down here in Vancouver. [Applause] Here’s Bertusi with a puck again. Gets it through. He couldn’t ship it on goal and that will do it. What a third period. [Music] All right. [Music]
Tyler Bertuzzi notched a hat trick, Spencer Knight made 43 saves on the night, and the Chicago Blackhawks took a 5-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks.

Bertuzzi Knight Masterclass Go Hawks
Imagine being a canucks fan hahahahahaha
EP40 out! TRADE!
"The human backboard" had an amazing game. Im happy for him.
Class act by Bertuzzi to go for an assist instead of a 4th goal in the last few seconds.
Outshot to pieces, looking half asleep at their own blue line and in their zone, had a goal against disallowed for…… reasons???? Hawks got lucky
At least Bertuzzi looked like detroit Bertuzzi tonight, and Spencer Knight stood on his skull and brains tonight. He deserved a shutout in this one.
I cannot wrap my head around why myers is on this team and on top of that paired with quinn. Lets make the backpack of our offense heavier than it already is
Keystone Canucks. God, the whole 3rd period Chicago was on the powerplay… oh, that was 5 on 5. Even Hughes chasing the puck. Abysmal home show!
I feel like this will be the norm this year for the Canucks. Struggling to keep up with younger teams and struggling to stay .500. But don't worry, they'll make a run at the playoffs at the end of the year to ruin their draft pick as always.
Fans should just boycott attending Canucks games and force Aquilini to sell the team so we finally get a proper rebuild.
I won't watch the NHL or crappy Canucks. Gary Betman killed it. Woke 🌈 son's of bitches!
Really solid game except the third. That is what we need to do. Good stuff. Hughes looks alot better and faster but man on D, he needs to do better with coverage and on that last goal, cut that pass
Despite the loss the Canucks out chanced and out shot the Blackhawks Chicago did get a couple lucky bounces for their goals, but you have to tip your cap to the Chicago netminder he was outstanding, but like I said the Canucks out shot them and out chanced them just unlucky
Wow Canucks were on an 11 game winning streak against the Hawks…
I really like how the Hawks play. It's not we are in the lead now defense, but instead, we scored, that was fun, let's do it again!
Räty's wrister, what a laser. He should absolutely try and shot more.
lol
Cancuks suck.
Mikheyev actually scored… unbelievable.
Why the players in break aways often try to shoot five- hole? There is often plenty of room upstairs. On both sides.
Lankinen gave Knicks a chance to win. But the team is poor in scoring.
Amazing how they allowed 45 shots on goal and still won as comfortable as they did….
As usual Demko is benched we give away points & the team plays like dirty toilet paper! No smothy 4 this group or the coach now get off my Wall !
Vancouver needs to start the rebuild. Awful
The referee didn't help today, so the Canucks lost. We remember the blatant theft that occurred recently in Chicago.
