ARE THE DETROIT TIGERS GOING TO TRADE TARIK SKUBAL? I HOPE NOT… ☹️
I’m not going to lie to you, man. To be honest with you, I was really dreading to make this video because I hate I hate that we’re here. We all as Tiger fans hate that we’re here. We hate that this is even a topic that we need to legitimately discuss, but here we are. And not only is this a topic we need to discuss, not only is this a big story line, this is maybe the biggest story line in all of baseball this winter. Forget about just the Tigers in all of baseball. This is probably the biggest storyline headline, biggest talking point this entire off season for all Major League Baseball. I hate that we need to talk about this, but nonetheless, here we go. Let’s discuss this. Are the Tigers going to trade Terros Scubble this off season again? Man, I hate that we’re here. We all as Tiger fans hate that we’re here, but we need to talk about this. This isn’t going anywhere. Again, the biggest talking point in not just the Tigers land, but all Major League Baseball. So, here we go. Let’s talk about this. But first of all, please give me a quick second to take care of some business and then afterwards I promise we will talk about uh the Tigers potentially training ter. So yeah, give me a quick second to take care of some business. I first of all want to thank the sponsor this video. Michigan based brotor coffee. A lot of you already know the routine by now, but just in case you don’t, hot coffee, cold brewing chocolate, all kinds of great drinks and treats for you to try and enjoy. Hopefully soon some Tony D roast number hard alcohol that we can mix into our coffees. I can chug it. I can chug as many as I can and just completely forget about this even being a thing. It gets so hammered that I that I completely forget that this is even a talking point, unfortunately. But all kidding aside, in all seriousness, uh yeah, visit website rotover.com. Link is in the description below. And if you find something try and make an order, you can always save some money on the order by using my code Tony D. Shout out to Ro Summer. Thank you once again that responsing this video. Also, if you all please do me a favor, leave a like on this one. Hit the subscribe button. I would so very much appreciate that. Like seriously, talking about the Tigers potentially training Ter Scoo, that does not put a smile on my face whatsoever, dude. Like even though I’m giggling right now, you know, I’m giggling and laughing because if I don’t, then I’ll start crying and I don’t want to do that in front of the camera. Talking about the Tigers losing terror scuba does not put a smile on my face. But you know what will? Hitting like and hitting subscribe. That would absolutely make me feel good when talking about losing Terra Scoo. That does not put a smile on my face. So yeah, hit like, hit subscribe. I very much appreciate that, man. All right, man. Here we go. That takes care of the quick business I need to take care of. Let’s get into it now. Let’s quit wasting time and being around the bush. Let’s just let’s talk about this man. Uh the terubble uh question situation, however you want to word it. Uh the terubble cloud that’s kind of hanging over this team right now, if you will. Like again, in the question I proposed in the intro of the video, and the question we all know that is surrounding this baseball team, not just now, but it’s going to surround this team for for a long time, dude. Even if we hold on to TK going into 2026, like this cloud is not going anywhere. This question is not going anywhere until if we do deal him or until he walks in free agency. Like this is not going anywhere, man. So yeah, let’s talk about it. Are the Tigers going to trade Terra Scubble? I hope not. I certainly hope not. Oh man. Oh man. I I really hope not, dude. I love TK. We all love Trick. Nobody wants to see him go. No DS fan wants to see go, dude. Oh, I hate this so much. I hate this so much. Yeah, I certainly hope not, dude. I hope we don’t trade Terra Scooble, but I don’t know. I really don’t know. You know, let me say this for the people who do maybe want to trade Terra Scubble, whether it’s Tiger fans or just even people nationally saying like, you know, the Tigers should really consider to trade Terra Scubble. I I get where you’re coming from. I I really do understand the people, whether it’s Tiger fans or people nationally saying the Tigers should consider to trade Terra Scooble. I 100% get it because like, man, listen, it sucks, but it’s the truth. We’re probably going to lose TK regardless next winter the 2026 off seasonason going into 2027. Like it’s a very high likelihood that we’re going to lose him in free agency. You know, I am holding out hope. We are all holding out hope that maybe we get surprised that the Tigers extend him. But like this is just what happens in Major League Baseball, man. This is just what happens with Scott Boris clients. He takes his players, his star players to free agency and they’re going to get they they get mega offers and go elsewhere, usually to bigger markets. You know, that’s what’s probably that’s what’s probably going to happen with Terra Scoo. He’s going to go to free agency. Scott’s going to take his client, the free agency, to get the most money, the biggest offer that Tara can get. Terra’s going to get an offer of like $7 billion in the moon. He’s going to leave. He’s going to leave either to the Dodgers or the Yankees or the Mets or the Red Sox. Like we’re probably going to lose Terra Scubel period next off season. So if you’re going to lose him, why have him walk for nothing? You get nothing in return for the best pitcher on the planet when you could trade him when his value is is just peak sky high, dude. Like he’s about to win a second straight American League Sai Young. Like his peak, his value is so peak. It’s so high right now, bro. His trade value is through the roof. Why would you let him walk for nothing when you could trade him and get a in return? Like, man, if the Tigers were to trade Terra Scuba this off season, that return, I’m not gonna lie to you, that’s gonna be a massive return. That is going to be a massive, massive, massive return that I’m telling you right now. While I will be heartbroken and probably crying right in front of this camera that Daryus Goo’s not on our baseball team anymore, that return at the same time is going to make me be like, “All right, dude. I’m heartbroken, but that’s a really good return.” Like, you know, we’re going to get a massive haul potentially for Terra Scooble. So this is all to say for the people who are saying Terra’s going to leave regardless probably next winter. So why not instead of letting him walk for nothing, trade him right now when his value is skyhigh and get a monster return for him. That’s going to set you up really good long term. You know, I if you’re making that argument, whether you’re a Tigers fan or you’re someone nationally or, you know, you’re just a fan of another team and it’s like, why don’t the Tigers why don’t the Tigers maybe trade Terra Scubble? Like, if that’s your philosophy, if that’s your mindset regarding Teros Scubble and whether or not the Tigers should trade him, I 100% get it. I 100% get it, man. But, but at the same time, like, I still don’t want to trade him, dude. You’re not wrong when you say like the Tigers could get a monster return, so why not deal him now? You You’re not wrong. Part of me is like, you’re not wrong, but at the same time, dude, I don’t want to trade Terry Scubble. No one wants to trade Terry Scooble. He’s the best pitcher on the planet, man. He is the best pitcher on the planet. Again, like I said about a minute or two ago, he’s obviously about to win his second straight American League. Sai Young, he is an absolute beast, dude. He is the face of this franchise. And not just the face of this franchise. He’s one of the faces of Detroit sports. Period. Period. Dude, he is one of the faces for Detroit Sports. I don’t want to lose him, man. Nobody wants to lose him, man. I don’t want to trade him, man. I don’t want to trade him. Nobody wants to trade him. And here’s another thing, you know, if we were so far out of contention, like let’s say this is after, I don’t know, 2022, 2023, like somewhere in that range, then obviously you’d be like, “All right, like it’s going to suck, but it’s probably smarter to trade Terra Scuba. Like, let’s trade him. We’re not contending anyway. We’re not close to contention. Let’s It’s going to suck, but let’s trade him and get the best return possible.” But dude, we’re right there. We’re so close, dude. We are so close. It’s not like we’re not in contention. We are right there, dude. Back-to-back years in the playoffs. Nearly won the Central this season, which that’s, you know, that’s a different talking point, but the point still stands. Maybe we should have won the Central, but it’s neither here or there. The point is, back-to-back years in the playoffs, backto-back years for the first round playoff series win, backto-back years in the DS, and backto-back years where we were one win away from advancing to the CS. Dude, we’re right there. We are right there. They’re like, “Dude, we are a good baseball team, man. We are a young good baseball team that is right there. While we have the best pitcher on the planet, the soontobe twotime back-to-back Sai Young award winner on this team. Like for the final year that he’s probably going to be here, why not be aggressive this off season and build a legit contender around Terra Scubble and let’s go for this thing in 2026.” Like, that’s how I’m feeling right now, bro. That’s how a lot of us here in Detroit, that’s how a lot of Tiger fans are feeling as well. Like, we’re right there, dude. Why not be aggressive this winter and build a contending team, build a winner around Terrace School with the best pitcher on the planet. And like listen, when I say be aggressive, that doesn’t mean trade Kevin McGonagal and or Max Clark and or Jose Bino. Like whenever Tiger fans say, “Let’s be aggressive this winter.” Nobody is saying to do that. All right, those are three of the best prospects in baseball. In Kevin Gongo’s case and Max as well, like legit one of the best offensive prospects in baseball. So like no one, me, other Tiger fans, when we say be aggressive, that does not mean trade three of the best and especially in Kevin and Max’s cases, legit maybe the best offensive prospects in all of Major League Baseball. You know, like no one is saying that, but what we mean by be aggressive this winter, like be aggressive to go get a bat. You were so close to getting Alex Bregman last off season. Be aggressive again. Maybe this time actually land Alex Bregman. Make some other moves. Maybe add a starting pitcher to this team. Even with Jack Flity back, like you still, I think, should be aggressive in getting a high-end starting rotation option. Maybe a guy like Dylan CE or someone along those lines, you know, like a high-end starting pitcher to add to this team to play with Derek Scubble, you know, be aggressive in adding multiple multiple bullpen pieces, high-end back of the bullpen pieces to this team as well. Like that’s what we mean by be aggressive, man. one more year of having Terara Scubel the best pitcher on the planet on this baseball team instead of trading him when we’re right there even with the argument about potentially getting a monster return for him when we’re probably going to lose him for nothing next off season like one more year of Terra Scuba on this team why not be aggressive and build a contender around him and just build a contender with this team with this roster with this core that for the past two seasons has made the playoffs, won the first round of the playoffs, got to the DS in both 2024 and 2025. And in both years, back-to-back years, was one win away from the ALCS. Like, dude, why not build a winner and try to go for this thing in the final year that we might have Terra Scuba on this baseball team? So, that’s how I feel. Long story short, that’s how I feel with regard to the Tigers potentially trading Terra Scubble. Like I get the argument to trade him right now and get a monster hall for him in return, but dude, this is the best picture on the planet. We are right there. Like, I don’t mean to repeat myself here, but seriously, I want to drive this point home because this is how I feel right now, dude. This is how a lot of Tiger fans feel in in potentially the final year that we have Terra School with the best pitcher on the planet on this baseball team, the soontobe back-to-back American League Sai Young Award winner. In the final year we’re probably going to have him. Why not build a contender, a winner around him potentially, you know, address the offense, maybe get another starting pitcher, make some major bullpen moves. Why not go for this thing in 2026 when we do have Teros Scubble, the best pitcher on the planet on this roster, you know? So, yeah, long story short, that’s how I feel, man. But ultimately, what do I think is going to happen, dude? I don’t know. I honestly I know that’s probably a really bad answer to give to you right now, but I don’t know what’s going to happen. You know, when our season first ended after the game five loss in Seattle, initially I was like, “No way. We’re not going to trade Terrace Scubble like he’s going to be a Tiger in 2026. Now, dude, I think it’s a real possibility. I’m not going to lie to you. I think it’s a real possibility that we might trade Terra Scubble this off season. Now, that’s not me saying we are going to trade him, but that’s just me saying like, you know, as the off season has gone on for us, as we got deeper into October and now the calendar has flipped from October to November, as this offseason has continued to progress for the Tigers and throughout Major League Baseball, now that the World Series is over, I’m not I’m not going to lie to you, dude. I don’t know. I believe where there’s smoke, there’s fire. And it feels like there’s a lot of smoke right now with regards to the tigers potentially training tarot scubble. There’s a lot of smoke around it. And I don’t know again I I believe where there’s smoke there’s fire. And it feels like there might be a fire right here. There’s smoke. There might be a fire beyond that smoke about potentially the Tigers dealing terrace scoo. Now I did see this earlier today on Wednesday. Buster only of ESPN said um other teams believe the Tigers will seriously consider moving Terra Scubble. And then at the same time, Jeff Passen said that everyone wants Terra Scubble obviously, but the industry expects Detroit to hold on to him into 2026. You know, maybe this is me just trying to be hopeful that we are going to keep Daryus into 2026, as risky as it may be. But honestly, as we sit here right now on Wednesday, November 5th, that’s what I feel like is ultimately going to happen. We are just going to hold on to Terra Scubble. We’re going to hold on to him going in 2026. We are going to try to build a winner this winter around Terra Scuba, the best pitcher on the planet, and then we’ll just see what happens from there. You know, we’ll see what happens where we’re at the trade deadline, where we’re at next winter, like we’ll go from there. But ultimately, as you say here right now, again, I do feel like we are going to keep Terra Scubble. We’re not going to trade him. We’re not going to extend him. We’re just going to go into 2026 with Terra Scubble still on this baseball team. That’s why I think it’s going to happen as we sit here right now. But again, when our season first ended, I felt there was no chance that we were going to trade Terra Scubble. Now, just like not even a month later or a month later or whatever, like that has changed from no way we trade him to maybe maybe I don’t know, man. So, like this could change again, but I don’t know. This is all to say, man. Long story short, are the Tigers going to trade Terra Scubble? I don’t know. I don’t know. It sucks so much, man. I really wish that we didn’t have to have this conversation, but it it’s not going anywhere either. Like that’s that’s another part that really really sucks. This is not going to go anywhere. As I mentioned earlier in the video, you know, as long as Terra Scoo is a Detroit Tiger and is not extended by the Detroit Tigers, like this is not going anywhere. The whole trade conversation, all the mock trades that just make me, oh my god, they drive me insane, bro. I’m not going to lie to you, dude. seeing all these mock trades that are like who says no us clearly cuz what is this bro that’s a terrible mock trade it’s all these guys that you don’t even want anymore like you think it’s going to get you Derek Scubble get out of here dude like I hate all these mock trades dude but like this is all the same like this is not going anywhere the mock trades just the overall talking point storyline about Terra Scuba maybe getting traded from the Tigers this is not going anywhere as long as he’s a Tiger and as long as he’s not extended by the Detroit Tigers This is not going anywhere. So, buckle up, man. Buckle up, cuz it’s only going to get worse, especially at the winter meetings next month. If we are to trade Terra Scubble, it’s very likely going to happen in the winter meetings next month. So, yeah, especially buckle up for those winter meetings, man, because it is going to be loud. It is going to be loud surrounding the Tigers train her scubble at those winter meetings. So yeah, this isn’t going anywhere. It sucks. I hate that we have to have this conversation, but nonetheless, here we are, ladies and gentlemen. So yeah, there you go. Those are my thoughts on are the Tigers going to trade Terra Scubble this off season. Um, you know, again, as I talked about throughout this video, I’ll say one more time to close out this video. Long story short, I don’t know. I honestly really don’t know if the Tigers made it straight their school this winter, but just like a lot of you, I certainly hope not. I certainly hope not, man. But I guess we’ll see. All right, that’s all I got for this one, ladies and gentlemen. I thank you all so much for watching. I appreciate you as always. As I mentioned earlier in the video, leave a like on this one. Hit that subscribe button. I very much appreciate it. It would put a smile on my face when this conversation does the complete opposite of putting a smile on my face. So yeah, hit like, hit subscribe. I would appreciate it. And uh if you want to leave a comment down below about how you’re feeling maybe as a Tigers fan about potentially training Terra Scubble, I read all my comments. I try to respond to as many as possible. So uh yeah, if you want to leave a comment with your thoughts on this, I would love to read it all down there in the comments below. And even if you’re not a Tigers fan, like how do you maybe as a Dodgers fan cuz it’s, you know, I have a lot of Los Angeles friends. Like maybe how are you feeling about the Tigers potentially training Terra Scubble? I love to hear those thoughts down in the comments below as well. Um so yeah, this is all to say, thank you so much for watching. I appreciate you as always. See you next time, Tiger fans. We’ll see you next time. Until then, as always, go Tigers, baby.

God please don’t trade him
Greetings from L.A., Tony. There's a LOT of talk here about bringing Tarik to the Dodgers, but I've got mixed feelings about it. We love his talent and believe he would be a real asset, but I have a deep affection for the Tigers and want to see them back in the playoffs in 2026. So, in my heart of hearts, I really, really hope he stays in Detroit.
He might go to the dodgers
I'm really tired of teams just refusing to sign their once in a generation players to a contract extension just because they're cheap. It's why I respect teams like the Blue Jays and the Royals for recognizing what they've got in their hands and being willing to sign the young generational superstar for life.
Salary cap now, please. What's the point of being a fan of a small or mid market team if the players are just gonna be swooped up by the Yankees or Dodgers?
