Did not see this one coming

  1. WTF WOW! Out of left field. I’m not too familiar with old padres baseball was he a good guy?

  2. That is certainly a choice.

It doesn’t get me excited right off the bat, but I’ll also reserve judgment and will see how it goes. On field performance and managerial skills aren’t always correlated. I will hope for the best.

  3. One of the funniest things ever posted in this subreddit was a dad who wrote that Craig Stammen had thrown a ball to his 5 year old kid from the bullpen and someone else asked if the kid hit it into the second or third deck.
I’ll be driving around sometimes and that post just pops into my head.

  4. hey guys im new to baseball and padres baseball. can someone explain this to me in nfl terms

  5. I was all in on either Pujols, Hundley or Ruben (or Flaherty even), so now I don’t know how to feel. Kinda shocked, this has Tingler 2.0 vibes but hope I’m wrong.

  6. Crige Stimmen?

I want to give this a chance but my optimism for next season is falling freely …

  7. Yeah, we’re poor again. Loved Stammen as our vet middle reliever though. We’ll see if he can get the best out of our core

  8. That’s really cool! But also, it’s a likely indicator that we’re headed to a lockout.

  9. What the actual fuck? So they decided to go with a first timer…but not Albert who has a connection with a lot of the players, is extremely well respected, and has at least a smidge of managerial experience.

I really hope I am wrong and Craig has us in the World Series next season.
